We had our bankruptcy case filed first under 100% repayment plan, and when you guys saw that we could not afford a 100% repayment plan, as originally discussed, you guys revised the paperwork at a 60% repayment plan, now back to 100% repayment plan with no paperwork to review and nothing for us to sign acknowledging this? Just a letter in the mail with the increase, When our income had not changed. We were provided with bankruptcy paperwork on a client of yours, not even our paperwork. You provided us with personal information on their bankruptcy case their first and last name they're mailing address. You also filed a debt from one of your other clients under our bankruptcy case and had to get that fixed when WE pointed out that was someone elses debt. AND you admitted you accidentally inputted someone elses debt into our filing! You guys do not provide us with any regular updates on our case. The only time you contact us is if you need documents because the trustee or the courts are requiring it. You do not provide us with any updates or information if anything changes to our bankruptcy case. We were told by your paralegal after our filings and had questions, that we should have been well informed how bankruptcy works before filing something like this and we should probably go on Reddit and read how bankruptcy works because it is not your guys's job nor fault for the questions that we have. I was told back in March 2026 when speaking to the attorney (or so she said she was an attorney) regarding my huge increase in our mortgage that we should probably seek getting a second job or looking for a promotion in order to be able to pay for our bankruptcy and these increased bills/increased cost of living, instead of working with us on how to figure out how we can adjust our repayment plan with the cost of living going up and our mortgage. These are just a few things we have gone through with this firm in less than 8 months. And to think to allow this for the next 3-5 years? I want to cry. I filed with Allmand Law thinking the process would be much easier, but unfortunately it has been very difficult to communicate with anyone, even by email, which seems to be the only form of communication. I did have an excellent experience with one of the attorneys, Glen Gallagher. After I first filed, he explained everything clearly and thoroughly. However, months later he was gone, and after that, communication completely stopped. Everything went from good to worst. Since 7/27, I have spoken with four different attorneys. We filed for one reason only: we had excellent credit, and our house was not supposed to be included since we were current on our payments. Our payments were supposed to remain at $4,880 for the remainder of the plan. However, prior to confirmation, they sent me a stipulation document prepared by the attorney for me to sign. I repeatedly requested to speak with someone for an explanation, but had no luck other than a call on 4/18, with confirmation scheduled for 4/19. I was told I needed to sign or my bankruptcy case might not be confirmed. This was the day before court. I was informed my payment would not change, yet I was still unable to speak directly with an attorney. The person I spoke with assured me everything would remain the same. Big mistake -- I signed. A week later, I received notice that my payment had increased to over $5,900, almost a $1,100 increase. I was finally able to set up an appointment with an attorney weeks later and spoke with her today. She sounded very promising and said she would work on resolving this issue. However, she also mentioned the trustee might require us to surrender the item we filed bankruptcy to protect in the first place -- the main reason we filed at all. If that happens, we will be left in an even worse position, with more accrued debt and a bankruptcy on our record. I am praying she will help us correct this error. updates will be posted. read more

DO NOT GO TO ALLMAND LAW!!!! Besides being in a real financial bind that needs serious attention, the experience at Allmand Law has caused more anxiety on top of what I'm dealing with and even has taken over $2000 of my money in fees. There is no way to communicate with them directly in their web portal. They get documents confused. The "paralegals" mumble on the phone and can't be clearly understood and often do not know what they are looking at. The intake interviewer told me one thing and the lawyer, when I was finally able to get in a consultation with them, did not understand my situation and was walking through documents and giving advice different from what I was told to expect. Now, I'm $2300 more in the hole. The person taking my questions at first told me one figure that I would be able to keep after discharge, and the attorney told me that was wrong. He said "we are a big company and can't keep track of who told you what!" THAT WAS FROM AN ATTORNEY!!!! In other words, they don't care about you! I'm now having to go to another firm to hopefully get things straightened out and get some solid, good advice and not be treated like a number in their sales quota. Complete sham of an outfit. Everything is done with sales pitches, texts, online. You don't even see an attorney, and then they press you to sign a retainer, tell you everything is good, then tell you monthly payments are fine, and only full amount due PRIOR to actual filing. Before you know it, when you give them your card info, they somehow charge you entire paid-in-full amount, with no signed agreement to pay, never seeing or talking to an attorney. Total farce. Do not use them. I am in process of disputing the charge now, as talking to them through texts, then so called 'appointments' to speak to someone who knows nothing, is just a waste of time. I decided to file bankruptcy because I was hospitalized and everything just got ridiculous. I was by somebody I now find out, didn't know them for real. I have a support group and a social worker and everybody filed with two other groups. They have finished their filing and got their docket number and we on their way to getting a fresh start. Today is Jan 31st 2026 and they have filed my case. The virtual meetings, the text, the emails and the people who answer the phones was not easing my mind. Over 5 years since my bankruptcy is paid and so far so good. Though I was given wrong information initially due to so many of their lawyers coming and going and a lower monthly payment which changed drastically; my credit is back to excellent and I have no problems getting any loan or credit card. The legal assistants are extremely rude and make you feel ignorant and worthless for having to make the choice to file. This is a horrible Bankruptcy Law Firm. 1 Star is too high of a review for these people. I will file a complaint to the bar. Not only poor representation, they do not know the law. I selected this firm because one attorney I had history with while he was with another firm. They flat out Lied telling me I could have my case assigned to him. Then they told me he did not work there any longer after I paid their total fees. Then on top of that I was over charged paying $5,300 which I was told I had to pay upfront for them to get started on my bankruptcy. Their filings to the court have different amounts for payment. I told they not to file my vehicle under the bankruptcy and they included it anyway. They did not show up for the trustee meeting nor the confirmation hearing. No one there seem to communicate and everyone tell you something different. When I request to speak to an attorney, I get scheduled appointments to speak to a paralegal, who can't answer my questions. Stay away from this firm far away! read more

This firm was rather disappointing. I was referred to them from another site that helps link affordable attorneys with clients. chapter 7 fee was $3000 and had to be paid prior to filing. That makes it extremely difficult to proceed. They offer payment plans but only file once everything is paid. That for one does not make it easy on a client who is already in a bad situation. It forces a delay when a filing needs to be done quickly. Out of the 5 lawyers I have spoken with this is the most expensive one. Two other lawyers off to file with a low down payment to start and still ends up being cheaper than $3k. I was told that if I wanted to file for free or with zero down to call Legal Aid. I was not looking for free, I was looking for payments while the process was going. I even asked the person calling me if they offered that and was told yes, which was not true. The consultation was very short, I was pretty much dismissed after she told me the rate and I asked about payments to start. Due to their incompetence, they screwed up with my account and my truck was repossessed. They did get it back, but not the point. They are now trying to make me pay for their mistake. I placed a ticket in their so called emailing system over a month ago and I have yet to get a response. I have spoken with some of the vendors that I owe and found out that only a portion of monies that I am paying are being posted. This is a law firm that seems to say all the right things and have the imagine and google reviews to seem great. It's sad that it's not an elite law firm. I tried giving them the benefit of doubt but I learned in a 6 month period that this is a volume law firm. They just want to collect money and sign up people. I will say this - these people are not experts. They know the very least. I was promised that I would not be assisted by a para legal due to the complexity of my case. I was assured of that by Reed Allmand himself. Shook hands and met at his office. For the next 6 months I received duplicate calls of the same matter. Even to book an appointment that I had already attended... I had to repeat myself to different people for some reason and yet nothing seemed to progress. I then found out that I had to change my case 2 different times. It was like this because someone on their team pulled a company file for a different company which was an LLC that didn't even belong to me. Based on a document I did not provide they kept misguiding me. I was refunded a portion because they had "worked on my case." Least to say nothing was ever filed. Every conversation I ever had was to fix their issues and not to do things to file. This isn't an angry yelp review but a genuine for those looks for a good law firm. The only reason Allmand scored even a 3 is due to their staff of attorneys' knowledge in Ch. 13. They have all been great. That's where it ends. The support staff is laughable at best, in my experience. Just now, after 28 minutes and getting a "supervbisor" on the phone, I was mysteriously disconnected. I use this phone for work and make or receive upwards of 60 calls per day and have never had an issue. With Allmand it's every. single. call. I decided to terminate the bankruptcy services on the 5th business day because of poor communication and conflicting information. I knew I would owe some money, but they kept the WHOLE $500 they deducted from my bank account, and e-mailed me an invoice showing a $600 balance. Then Nick said they weren't going to charge me the extra $100, like they were doing me a favor. Praise YHWH, I didn't give them the full amount ($3000), they wanted me to pay to start the bankruptcy. They almost force you to give a good review on the initial call and will charge you $12 per text, overcharge you for anything they do for you. If you would like your case handled by a call center with attorneys that couldn't care less about you then this is your place! If you want to speak with someone, you email a request, they create a ticket and then they never get back to you! You are completely ignored and have no recourse. They have me paying for stuff that I don't even owe. I asked to file an objection to what I was being charged and they never got back with me. They said they emailed me. I never received the email. As you see below from the other ratings they have deceptive practices. They advertise on their website that they will inform you of bankruptcy and non bankruptcy options. Non of this is true. They will push you to file bankruptcy even if there are better alternatives, because that's where they get the bigger retainer. We signed on with Allmand Law based on their good reviews on other sites. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. They charge $3000 for their services, all upfront. We've been trying to file bankruptcy with them for the last 3 months. During the 3 months, they returned 3 phone calls. On several occasions I called multiple times a week. We got garnishment notices, gave them the info, they said don't worry, we'll stop garnishment before it's executed. They didn't. They said for our next paycheck they would. They didn't. Their inaction cost us over $1000. Our files had missing information. I sent countless emails asking for a correction. I got the same inaccurate documents emailed to me for my signature every 2 days. It took 3 weeks before they got finally corrected. I had a very simple case, pretty much all medical bills that needed to be dismissed. When the creditors meeting came, I was listening to other cases for an hour before my turn. EVERY SINGLE CASE represented by Allmand law before mine was rescheduled, because of inaccurate or missing documents. The trustee got really upset and said he didn't understand, how Allmand Law could be so incompetent. He said this wasn't fair for their clients, or himself. When it was our turn, we got as far as page #1. Our name was incorrect. Case rescheduled. We pointed out that my husband's name was missing his middle name to Allmand before signing. Allmand said it was OK. They said it had to match the name on our bank account, which had no middle name listed. It was extremely embarrassing when the trustee asked why we couldn't understand a simple question, like our full legal name. We trusted Allmand, thinking they knew better. I was so excited to file with Allmand on 1/30/20. I paid $412 of the $825 in good faith. The paralegal was nice, (she read through everything really fast so i missed the refund clause). Insert red mad face. Three days later I decided not to follow through with the BK and I requested in writing a refund. It's been three weeks and have heard nothing. I'm told the system has been down for over a week now. I have submitted in writing 3-4 times a refund request. Other reviews say they pay to delete negavtive reviews so not sure if people will see this. My recommendaton is to not pay them any fee up front because if you have a change of heart you will NEVER SEE A REFUND. The only thing I did was go in for a free consutation, nothing filed, no credit pulled NOTHING and they have yet to refund me the portion of the fee I paid towards the attorney fee.
