While I was pregnant Micole offered sound wisdom to myself and my husband to have tools and practices that helped us prepare for birth. The moment my water broke she stayed with me hours on FaceTime and when it was time to get to the Hospital she showed up within the hour even though she lived an hour away. I remember so many beautiful moments throughout my labor and birth that Micole was there, hands on encouraging not just myself but my husband on how to best support me. It was an experience I wish everyone got to have. She also lovingly called me out on ig when I was doing too much in my last weeks of pregnancy and postpartum. LOL. She does not play. We are so incredibly blessed to have found the Jubilee Birth Center along with Toni Kimpel and her student Riley. We just recently had our first daughter with them at the birth center Every single aspect of our experience from prenatal to postpartum care was better than we could have imagined! Toni and her team are so knowledgeable and nurturing; my husband and I felt very confident and peaceful every step along our journey with them. They helped prepare me so well for the natural medication-free birth that we wanted. The birth center itself is very nice and cozy, I love the homey feel to it-- much better than a "sterile" fluorescent lit hospital room in my opinion! Two beautiful rooms to choose from with comfy beds, ample space for laboring in different positions, and a full birthing tub in each! Also birthing balls, stools and bracing rope available to use. Honestly my husband and I feel like Toni and Riley are family after going through so much with them. We can't wait to be pregnant again so we can do it all over!

My daughter had a heartbreaking ordeal with this birthing center. It sounded like a great idea to…read morebirth naturally, but it turned into a nightmare for our young couple. Come to find out their ultimate goal is to defraud and this is how they do it. They push for prepayment in full for a (discount) and then they will send the unsuspecting mothers to the hospital for a low fetal heartbeat which was normal for the baby according to the hospital. But they know now that they have raised an alarm, (false as it was) that the expecting mother will just birth in the hospital. I don't fault the birthing center for erring on the side of caution, but what came next put everything in a clear perspective. A call was made to the mother, now in the hospital, asking to join her. For the additional amount of 1500$ they would come and hold her hand, as they are not licensed and have no malpractice insurance, therefore the hospital staff cannot legally let them practice onsite. Our Daughter declined the additional services and went ahead with the birth at the hospital she was sent to by the midwife. A few days later our daughter and the baby went to an aftercare appointment facilitated by the birthing center where she brought up the fact that on the birthing centers advice, she now had a full hospital bill for the birth. She inquired about a partial refund due to services not rendered, Birthing the baby, a very reasonable request. The cold response was that the birthing center would look into it. Two weeks passed and then the birthing center informed them no refund would be issued at all. SO BEWARE: No matter the response that I know they will write.. the bottom line is this. They ask for prepayment knowing that if they choose they can just send the client in for some made up reason and now they no longer have to fulfill their part of the contract, all while keeping the entire payment amount. Completely ignoring the fact that services that were prepaid, were not rendered!

We had an amazing home birth team in Phoenix, so our expectations were really high for the type of care and knowledge we wanted in our Midwife. Being new to Austin meant we didn't have a large network of people to ask for references, so I researched online, read reviews and looked through credentials. I knew very quickly I wanted to work with Christy and Jenni. I had an extremely difficult pregnancy, although I was also sick the entirety of my first as well. I had hyperemesis gravidarum, meaning I was throwing up constantly, losing weight, and unable to keep down hardly anything. Christy has a huge wealth of knowledge and practices functional medicine alongside traditional options. I was always given information of references for alternative therapies to help my nausea. They were always helping me manage my sickness and we worked closely with a perinatal MD for any tests or services Christy couldn't provide herself. I had incredible care throughout my pregnancy and can't stress enough how great a resource Christy was for every ailment. Our birth experience was awesome! It only lasted an hour and a half (sooo fast!) but it was in the middle of the night with a birth tub. Our baby was born in a state of shock, partially because of how quickly everything progressed, and had a little trouble breathing. Christy knew what to do immediately and got her breathing and feeding perfectly in no time. The postpartum care we received was incredible. I had pelvic floor issues and our baby had some skin issues and Christy and Jenni were always available to answer questions and connect us with a provider that could help if it was outside their realm. Truly, we can't say enough about our experience and this team of women! They are wonderful and you and your baby will be in great hands.

I literally can't put into words how…read moreamazing these two women are...and how positively they have impacted my (and my family's) life. They are just. The best. Jenni and Christy helped my wife and I through two births, and unfortunately a few miscarriages. We first met them while interviewing for a midwife back in 2015. We interviewed a few other people around town, but instantly clicked with Jenni and Christy. They are warm, responsive, realistic and the best part - they really care about you, your pregnancy and your experience. Our meetings were sometimes long - filled with laughter in addition to medical explanations of my changing body. They took a few minutes each time to do the medical stuff, blood pressure/pee test/feel for baby...but then, the rest of the time they just wanted to know how I was feeling. I miss them. When my birth came around, Jenni was my rock. She is kind and gentle - her presence during the chaos of birth was invaluable. She kept me calm, centered and most of all, feeling safe through 8 hours of active labor and a 3 hours of pushing. My kiddo didn't want to come out, but they literally pulled out a bag of tricks: peanut yoga balls, weird positions, ropes to pull on and things to rest my legs on. They kept my spirits up, even when in those moments of wanting to give up. And, with their help I birthed a healthy little girl in the comfort of my home. It was amazing. Women are amazing. Now I'm crying. I can't recommend these MotherBloom midwifery enough. They taught me about the power of being a woman - and I know that I am a better mother because of my experience with them as my midwives. They really are, the best. I heart them so much!

Nursing has been anything but easy, and because our daughter is so tiny I have felt nothing but pressure for her to gain weight as quickly as possible... very difficult when breastfeeding is proving difficult. The onset of vasospasms so painful that it felt like a cigarette burning me straight through to my shoulder blade finally led me to make an appointment with My Pure Delivery. First of all, it was not covered by my insurance because Blue Cross Blue Shield sucks. But every dollar I paid out of pocket was worth the time they spent with me to ensure I felt comfortable utilizing the strategies they helped me master with their help. Additionally, they allowed me to come back periodically to weigh her at no additional cost so that we could monitor her weight without paying for yet another doctor's visit. I am forever grateful for the assistance My Pure Delivery gave me with a skill no one teaches you about, you are just supposed to inherently know how to do, and is perhaps the most stressful task I've ever had to do. I've always delivered naturally without any medications or medical interventions. If you plan to go this route I highly recommend investing in a doula. My labor and delivery went amazing with no complications. Kenzie worked with me through my contractions, massaging and giving words of encouragement. Anita helped move me in positions to help me progress faster. She uses this peanut ball, which I have a love/hate relationship with. We labored together at my house for about three hours. Then we went to the hospital. I arrived there at 8cm, Anita again put me on my side on the peanut ball. I went from an 8 to a 10 in 20 minutes. I pushed my 7lb daughter out in two pushes. I've delivered five children without medications, three of those I used doulas. They were the absolute best experiences I have ever had and am so blessed that someone like Anita and Kenzie have the skills and knowledge to help guide me during the wonderful birth of my daughter Gretchen!

Receiving an invitation from Nativiti years after our experience was deeply triggering and…read morereawakened pain that has never been acknowledged by the team. Due to privacy regulations (FERPA and HIPAA), I don't expect a follow-up or apology at this point. But after five years, I feel it's important to finally share this publicly for the sake of others seeking care. When I experienced high blood pressure late in pregnancy, we were advised to go to the hospital--but the promised support in emergency transitions never came. My partner and I had to navigate the ER and hospital system alone while I was in and out of consciousness from a magnesium drip. The only outreach was a call asking whether we'd be returning for aftercare--not a check-in, not a gesture of compassion, not even a follow-up to acknowledge what had happened. We later discovered documentation of a hypertension diagnosis that was never discussed with us transparently. No safety plan was made. The most guidance we received came from our hypnobirthing coach--not our midwifery team. We were also exposed to COVID-19 due to lax policies around symptomatic individuals, compounding our stress and vulnerability. While a partial refund was eventually issued, the emotional impact of being left unsupported in one of the most critical moments of our lives still lingers. I truly hope Nativiti has grown and changed. But for us, what was promised and what was lived were very different.
