I placed and order with Home Depot at the end of February for a new opener and insatallation.... I heard nothing for weeks. Weeks went by...Nothing!!!!. I called again. When I finally got a person they sent me to another number. I called there..... again nothing. Finally I got somone who scheduled my installation for today, April 24th. I believe they would have never called me if I had not called them. They told me between 2 and 3 PM. I took the day off and guess what? No one shows up on time. I call them and they tell me the installers should be there soon. Then they called back and said they would be there by 5:30. Too Late!... Cancel my order. Horrible communiccation, horrible customer service ! am betting their installations are of the same caliber. Its a shame. I had an unusual project, installing a cat flap into a steel door. I don't know of anyone who does this type of job on a regular basis. The representative was very upfront (he'd never done one before) and was very cautious but meticulous, looking at templates that came with the cat door, measuring the garage door (which had structural ridges), etc. etc. He said, "I believe I can do it", and he did a GREAT job. And the cost was fantastic. I was shocked at the great price - usually contractors charge an arm and a leg. He even did a lubrication of the hinges and springs on my 2 garage doors after installing the cat door. This place is great. I highly recommend them.
