Responds quickly. Will install smart locks but will not program them! I had to hire someone else to come in, and reinstall one of the smart locks, because one of the mechanisms was installed improperly. Other than that, this is a reliable, prompt service. The owner quoted me a $125 to change out 3 locks. The locks were under warranty, so I had the hardware waiting. When finished he charged $225. When I asked why the difference, he said he changed 6 locks, the door handle and deadbolt were separate components and therefor the charge was $225. Why he didnt tell me this before starting, I dont know. I had posted the job online in detail and I had several reply's all stating $125 or $120 for the labor. I could have had the job done for less but was duped. He should have mentioned the price would double before he began. read more

Somehow, my key to my Miata fell off my keyring while I was in the midst of repairing the console and had all the disassembled parts in the trunk. No problem, I thought. I've got another key somewhere. Found it and quickly realized that this was a valet key and, while it worked the doors and the ignition, I was unable to open the trunk. One call to Allied Lock & Key and in about 40 minutes my savior arrived. Didn't take long before I had 2 keys that worked it all. Yeah, I wasn't thrilled with the cost, but the service was incredible and I was able to complete my console job.... and it was my carelessness that caused the problem. I received a phone call soon after I sent in my yelp request. This was also around 4 PM, so I was not expecting anyone to come out to our house to look at our lock that was not working on our side door. Dan called me and said that he could come out to our house within the hour. He showed up shortly after, and looked at the lock on our door which was no longer locking.
