After 2 years of pain and loss of range of motion, I reached out to Dr Schipper for an evaluation. Very quickly he was able to determine something to try to help my pain and range of motion. Almost immediately I saw positive results, but I still wasn't seeing the gains I wanted. Upon my follow up visit we discussed other options which resulted in a low risk surgery. I decided to go this route, and now 2 weeks post op I'm extremely glad I did. Even the day after surgery I could immediately feel the improvement in my range of motion and to my surprise I basically had zero pain. If it wasn't for the stitches I would have thought I dreamed that I had surgery vs it actually having happened. I couldn't be happier with the results thus far and can't wait to see what additional gains I get after completing PT.

When my daughter was finally able to choose a specialist for her needed surgery, she chose Dr. Schipper at Anderson Orthopedics, and we could not be happier. Dr. Schipper explained all that would be needed, his staff was very friendly and helpful, and the surgery was a great success. My daughter's recovery is going well, and she is looking forward to physical therapy. We are so thankful we found Dr. Schipper and highly recommend Dr. Schipper and his staff to anyone that needs foot or ankle surgery. He is amazing! Sincerely, Dayna Klein

The energy in the office is so positive, caring, and warm. I know I am in a good space with people that really care about my overall well-being. If I could give this place 10 STARS, I would!…read more Following a 20 year career in the military, my spine and body has been put through a lot. I have been a patient of Dr. C for several months now and I feel blessed every time I am adjusted. I have been seen for my back by many physicians, and unfortunately, everyone is quick to prescribe medicine to help numb the pain. Once that medication is done, the pain comes back so what's the point? A friend encouraged me to give a Chiropractor a chance and pointed me to ACT Wellness Center. From the moment I met Dr. C and his staff, everything just felt right. The focus was on relieving my pressure, aligning my body, and educating me on back/joint health. I feel like a part of Dr. C's family when I attend appointments. Dr. C listened to my concerns, assessed me, and provided me with a clear plan on how WE can achieve the goals WE set out as a team. He is the most genuine doctor I have come across and its noticeable with every person he interacts with. The environment and staff are very professional, welcoming, flexible, and caring. Good vibes! I can walk without compensating due to pain, my posture has improved, I have a much better understanding of how to better care for my body, and my pain has been reduced. I am happy to share this because my quality of life has improved because I trusted in Dr. C and his staff. I highly recommend anyone reading this to take the same leap of faith I did, you will not be disappointed!

I was referred to this office by VA for help with my lower back. When I arrived, the staff at the…read morefront desk were friendly and allowed me ample time to complete the paperwork without any pressure (I am someone who actually reads the paperwork before signing). They also reacted positively to my attempts at humor and were pleasant throughout my visit. They appeared to have no issues understanding how to process paperwork with the VA (unlike some urgent care clinics that try to charge me when they should not). Although the x-ray didn't want to work for me for some reason, I was quickly seen, evaluated, and given some helpful treatment. They used the electrical pulse therapy with an ice-pack and did a couple of adjustments that were painless and surprisingly helpful. I didn't realize how the adjustments could help while he performed them but they did. Finally, I got to perform "an adjustment" on the chiropractor (I popped his back). I apparently did a good job and he even mentioned that I provided "an adjustment" for him. Maybe I should look into learning more about chiropractic science. Other than the odd situation with the x-ray, all went well and I do feel better. I had a good experience here and I expect that you will have a good experience with Virginia Family Chiropractic for your future chiropractic needs. I look forward to my follow up appointment in a couple of days!!

First, let me say that Dr. Chan is a very competent oncologist. He treated me successfully for…read moreanemia with iron infusions. My complaint is that he is overly busy and has no bedside skills. My late wife began treatments for metastatic bladder cancer in spring of 2023. Because she was 82 years old Dr. Chan started her on immunotherapy and mild chemotherapy. After several weeks it was apparent that the treatment was not working, so he switched her to an aggresive regimen of chemotherapy. He also recommended radiation to reduce a tumor that was close to the vertabrae. After the radiation chemotherapy resumed; as a result of the two treatments she grew weaker and weaker. Dr. Chan did nothing to relieve or even acknowledge this weakness. She told him how weak she was, but he did not change anything. On October 23, 2023, she died in her sleep. I notified his office. I heard nothing from him or his staff. I sent an email to his office a few days later saying I was disappointed that noone in the office acknowledged her death. I received an awkward phone call from Dr. Chan saying he was sorry and she was a good patient. As a former patient myself, I expected at least a card or phone call to acknowledge my wife's death. I received a card from her opthamologist who had operated on her cataracts a few years prior. I received condolences from her dentist. But nothing from the one doctor who was treating her from the cancer that killed her. Very disappointing.
