Excellent climbing gym. Route setting is creative. Routes are appropriately rated and clearly marked. I went there for bouldering with two friends and had a great time. The crowd is friendly which gives a positive atmosphere to the place.

Excellent, well thought out rock gym. The route setters are dilligent and change routes/problems often. Always a new problem to work on. Employees are very professional. Some climbers complain that they are too strict in their belay/lead technique tests, but I'd rather have that than the alternative. They have routes and boulder problems of all grades, so everyone can find a project. Walls are tall. This is the best rock gym I have been too. I recommend going early AM to avoid the crowds. Once I went on a weekday at around 5pm. Was a total zoo.

I don't know what it is about Montreal gyms, but I'm pretty sure every new one popping up is just amazing. Seriously, why can't we get these in Ontario? Allez Up has recently been renovated and has completely new facility. It's kinda hard to find at the moment because there're still renovating slightly, but look for the giant concrete silos. After signing in at the "silo", you'll enter into one of the brightest and biggest gyms you'll probably ever see; the gym is just massive. All the routes are colour coded by holds so it's nice not to have a million pieces of tape everywhere. You'll notice a giant caveish bouldering wall to the left side and then really high walls (it looked like they were 70-80ft). The walls are walltopia walls and they are all flat paneled pieces (at least all that I saw). This makes it a bit more flexible for setters to put whatever they want on the walls without worry of the holds not "sitting right". I'm not sure how often they change up their routes and problems so i'm not really going to comment on that. There's actually a whole other area upstairs right when you enter, so that really goes to show how big this place actually is. There's just about a rope hanging every 6-8 feet so there are plenty of things to climb even on a crowded day. The only thing I hate about this gym is that it's not near me. =(

Over 100 feet of climbing excellence. Tallest climb in Montreal as far as I know!

I love this place! They have three bouldering caves and enough wall space to accommodate beginners and expert climbers together without having it feel too cramped. The staff are friendly and approachable in either language and add to the good ambiance of the place. Excellent route setting keeps you challenged and never bored.

It is a must try if you happen to have an Acrophobia (Fear of heights). Great way to have a healthy fun for hours.

There's also some good bouldering to be done, and they get changed regularly.

The game was just hard enough to be interesting but not so hard that it's demoralizing. Apart from the game, there's not much to describe in terms of the room since, well, it's all in the VR!! The yellow room we got had windows on one side and was overlooking the street. There's sufficient space in there for four people such that you won't bump into each other. You can go without glasses when you put on the headset since the image is up close. Because this is a group game, just swivel up one of your headphones so you can hear your teammates talking as you'll need to work together. Since you have to physically bend down to pick stuff off the ground you can't really sit. And since you use the controls to "walk" by teleporting from one place to another, I'd recommend wearing comfy shoes because you'll literally be standing still for the whole game. Overall a really cool experience to test out VR before committing to a headset/games. I'd love to go back and try out the other games!

So you could imagine us as an overly confident (read: turbulent) team in front of an enthusiastic game master. We played the Nightfall scenario, which lasts for 60 minutes normally. We appreciate the fact that "pre-hints" were offered on a clipboard, but in the end were not necessary for the completion of our mission. There is enough to keep two sub-teams busy (which, like any other escape room game, is a shame, because you might miss an interesting opportunity to contribute). Not to spoil the surprise, but there were a few items that were discovered "by chance", although there may have been good logic behind it. We appreciated the sound indicator whenever a clue was successfully achieved, a nice touch compared to the competition. In the end, we finished third on the leaderboard, with 26 minutes to spare (which is pretty disappointing for us, you can imagine). We discovered this place through Tuango, which cut down the price to around 20$ per person, which is a decent price for the experience we got. This is obviously a place that's just starting, so we will cut them some slack on some items that were low-key. The other scenario Shelter 2039 is also intriguing, so we will definitely check it out in the future!

Safety briefing first then Got instructional lessons on how to use two types of axes (one regular "Hachette" and a long handled one). I really surprised myself on how good I was! We had our vs. competition with the instructor as the judge. Had to go 5 rounds to break the tie :) awesome time! They took our pictures at the end and posted them on Facebook the next day.

There's of course basic safety rules that are clearly explained, and there's a waiver to sign - which is pretty standard wherever "combat sport" is involved. There's three different sizes of axes, which all have to be thrown in a slightly different manner. I couldn't really hold the largest one up for very long, so I mostly used the smallest one. I have to say that I only managed to hit the target correctly twice, but it was still a fantastic session! Everybody had a blast! One guy from France now wants to become French-Canadian, and another dude wants to set up axe throwing at home. The music they played was really nice (System of a Down, Rammstein, David Hasselhoff (?!)). It wasn't too loud, and the rock/metal mix energized the place. Close to the front desk, there were even some branded leather goods for sale! The training/service was very professional and friendly. We also appreciated how the group pictures taken at the end of the session had a studio-like quality. They made great souvenirs! I recommended this place to my friends. Very good prices when attended as a larger group.

It's high intensity and high cardio. You will break a sweat! They have tons of different scenarios you can try out so you won't get bored of the game. It'll be a little awkward at first because of the face mask and the arm protection band but you get used to it. It's the perfect activity for a birthday party or a friend hangout. I'd love to go back with my family. Force Academy: we've all wondered what it would be like to wield a light saber. It's definitely harder than it looks. My arm was so weak and I'm so short it kept hitting the ground. But by the end of my session I was decent! They teach you some cool moves just like in the movies and they put you in some cool scenarios to practice. The staff is great. Super friendly. They'll teach you everything you need to know and then it's up to you. I had Zack both times I went and I really like him. Some things to remember before you go: - get there early, there are wavers to sign - be dressed to do some physical activity - if you're a small group you might be with strangers so if you don't like that idea, reserve for your group only. - bring a lock for the locker area - sign up for their newsletter. They have tons of promotions year round. As I'm writing this I already want to go back and play!!!

This place is a little bit outside downtown Montreal but an easy Uber ride. There's 1 large "arena" and you're generally split up in 2 competing teams. Think archery plus dodgeball and you get the gist of the game. All the arrows have foam tips on them so didn't hurt at all if you get hit with one. This was actually pretty good exercise for an hour since it involved a lot of short sprints to get arrows and getting back to the hiding place. My arm was also sore for a couple days after for holding up the bow! We all sucked badly, blaming it on the bar crawl the night before but absolutely had a blast!
