On the 22/12/2023 as the bar was closing and still pretty crowded, I was waiting for a friend. A doorman asked me to leave due to closing time, and I agreed, thinking he would move on to others. However, he didn't like that I didn't move right away, grabbed my arm forcefully, twisted it behind my back and walked me out of the bar. I didn't resist or become aggressive; I simply said it wasn't okay. When we reached the front of the bar, he let go, and I calmly expressed that his aggression was unnecessary. My watch then fell out of my sleeve and hit the ground. He applied so much force, he snapped the metal clasp on my watch and lightly sprained my wrist. I met my friend, said goodnight, and headed home. On December 24, 2023, I reported the incident to the Gardai and informed the Vicarstown Bar supervisor in early January. There's CCTV footage at the bar capturing the entire unprovoked incident. The bar supervisor assured me he would follow up but never did so yeah, heritage trail.
