The therapy sessions were consistent, each visit new exercises were added as my knee improved. I had PT with Mark Fielden at this facility after a shoulder replacement in 2024. My seventh joint replacement, I am familiar with PT and therapists; and I rate Marc among the best I've had. A therapist for 40 years, there's not much that Marc hasn't seen. He was familiar with my procedure and knew how to treat me. He stretched, pulled and pushed on the shoulder in all of the typical ways to avoid inflicting pain (where possible), making notes on my current state. At each visit he'd review his notes, take new measurements and then tailor that day's session base on my progression before passing me off to the technicians who would implement his plan. If I need PT again, I'll certainly look up Marc. read more

I went to the Allen Therapy Center after rotator cuff / reattach bicep surgery for about 12 weeks, 3X a week. There is such a warm vibe as soon as you enter the Center. My Therapist was Mark Fielden. This guy is amazing in that he knows exactly what he's talking about. He's patient and keeps an eye on you when you are doing your exercises. He also explains what he's doing and why. If you struggle with anything, he's attentive and does his best to work you through your issue. He's very motivating! I've been to 2 other PT centers in the past and this is by far the best. It's never too crowded; even the assistants are helpful and attentive. I would give 6 stars to Mark & ATC if I could. Highly recommend. read more

After my ACL repair, I attended ATC for my rehab. The desk staff was always friendly and helpful for scheduling. The technicians are very nice and have a heart-felt interest in their patients. My physical therapist, Marc Feldman, was extremely knowledgeable and encouraging. His demeanor with me and other patients was always one of caring and Marc has a way of making everyone feel like their progress is of foremost importance. I appreciated the custom care I received, based upon my personal level of improvement. I also appreciated the mature advice given when I tried to push myself too hard to let my body heal and don't stress things beyond what is necessary. My specialist recommended Allen Therapy Center for physical therapy for my tailbone, and to put it simply, I don't recommend this place at all. One positive is that scheduling an appointment was easy, especially since they close at 7pm during the week. I appreciated not having to miss work or cram a session in during a lunch break. One thing I didn't like was that I wasn't informed of how much my out-of-pocket cost would be until a few hours before my appointment, even though I inquired a few days before. Also, no one requested I show up early to fill out paperwork, so 15mins of my session was wasted scribbling my information. When the session started, I was greeted by Marc's assistant (Freddy?) who was super nice and made me feel welcomed. Freddy got me settled and eventually, Marc made his way over. I did the standard "here's how I got here and here are my goals with PT" bit and Marc tested my range and flexibility. He decided leg, glute, and lower back stretches would be the best route for me so Freddy got me set up with those. I've been to PT before -- I was actually at a different facility 4 months prior for my knees -- so I know what's normal and what I like/don't like. I didn't like that Marc wasn't attentive. He'd leave me to do the stretches and sometimes Freddy gave me incorrect directions. I understand Marc had 3 other people to attend to in addition to me, but I prefer places that offer 1 on 1 guidance so that I don't end up doing something with incorrect form and making my injury worse. I didn't receive that here. The 1 thing that made me decide this wasn't the facility for me was Marc. At the end of the session, he printed out the stretches to explain what I needed to continue doing at home. While explaining, he was rubbing my shoulders and upper back, making me feel incredibly uncomfortable. I believe I was leaning as far away from him as I could without falling off the table and yet, he saw nothing wrong with massaging me. Mind you, my injury was my tailbone, lower back. There's absolutely zero reason for Marc to rub my upper back and shoulders, let alone touch me when the PT session was clearly over. Everyone but Freddy, Marc, the woman at the front desk, and me had left at this point, so I felt even stranger and honestly froze. And again, I've been to PT a few times in my life so I know what touching is normal or appropriate. Also, I've been on this planet for 3 decades and I know when I'm feeling violated. The rubbing wasn't right. It further didn't sit well with me because I watched how Marc interacted with the 3 other folks (much older woman, older man, and a man around my age) and not a single one got a goodbye-shoulder-rub. One thing I will emphasize is this is a negative interaction with Marc, exclusively. Freddy had to deal with some awkward moments and he handled them professionally. At one point, Freddy had to expose my butt crack so that he can apply the stickies for electrical stimulation. He warned me that my moon was gonna shine (my words, not his). He asked if that was okay. He made sure there was consent, as he should, and respected my body. Had the woman at the front desk not bolted to the back to prepare to head out for the night, I would've confided in her and told her what was going on and why I wasn't returning. Unfortunately, I didn't have that opportunity so I just left, pensive about what I just experienced and feeling inexplicably creeped out. All in all, regardless of what's deemed necessary or not when it comes to touching, the treatment at this facility is subpar and you'll have better success going elsewhere or doing the stretches/exercises at home, like I ended up doing. read more

The physical therapist that I saw here was very knowledgeable, but you often have to ask questions to get information. The front desk was friendly and helpful. The facility was clean and seemed well equipped. However, the supervision here is poor. By my second visit here I was asked if I remembered an exercise and then the PT or tech usually walked away without watching me at all to make sure that I was doing the exercise correctly. The therapists often stood around the desk in the middle of the room charting or chatting without watching patients. This kind of therapy does not qualify as skilled service in my opinion. My friend who went here recently, after knee surgery, fell and hurt herself during a visit which she attributes to lack inadequate supervision. I was glad I quit, because they billed my insurance $1500 per visit. During the visits I laid on a heating pad for 10 minutes and was put through a dozen or so exercises. Obviously the therapy was not covered by the insurance at that rate, but I was still shocked. The paid rate was still double what most places get and I learned that they can bill at this rate, because they are charging hospital rates. read more

Had my first appointment here last night and wow, I hadn't felt such a difference from physical therapy before. For background info, I have been with multiple therapists in the past, at least 3 for my current low back condition. Last night, however, made the most difference out of all the therapy visits I've had so far with any other clinic. I left with much less pain than I went in with, and for me that can be life-changing. It's a very well-organized shop here, with skilled staff who really seemed to know what they were doing. My therapist took a lot of time evaluating what was wrong before jumping straight into therapy. After the session, she also printed out some detailed exercises for me to continue at home, along with several notes on what to look out for/my weakness areas. The front desk is also very polite and have their stuff together. They check your insurance first before your visit so they do try to limit surprise medical bills. I can appreciate that as someone with chronic pain and years of medical bills. Oh, and the wait time was very very short! read more

I have been to Allen Therapy Center following surgery for Rotator Cuff surgery and was extremely satisfied with my overall results. I attribute these results to having a highly skilled Doctor and a very skilled Therapist. Daniel, my therapist, and his team were professional and helpful. I have now regained full range of motion of my shoulder and look forward to hitting that little white ball again. They do a phenomenal job! I landed here six months after having total knee arthroplasty followed by extensive therapy with a different therapy center. I had a bad limp, considerable pain and had been told prior to coming to Allen Therapy that I should live with it and move on. Allen therapy zeroed in on my problem, put together a program that has progressively led to greater recovery in the last two and a half months than the previous six months combined. They are a very well run organization with Daniel Grassi providing superb direction to his staff! Everyone there is very helpful and friendly with Miro and Marco especially standing out under Daniel's direction. I would highly recommend this place! They do a great job! read more

After rotator cuff surgery, I went to ATC 3 times per week as directed by my doctor. I had met my deductable so no worries on cost. Of course, with a new year comes a new deductable. I was outraged that they were going to charge me $488 per visit moving forward. After a brief discussion they said I could pay $202 per visit but that would only cover 20 min with the PT. The next day was a follow up appt with my doctor and I mentioned what had happened. He recommended another Therapy Center. Using the same BCBS PPO, the new place charges $100 per visit. I will receive 38 visits at that rate per the BCBS plan. If this was a review of the PT (Daniel), I would have given 5 stars but since the ATC office lady grossly overcharged me I rate the overall experience as 1 star for this facility.
