We purchased a new vacation home on the Sonoma Coast, and during closing, we discovered that the…read moreconcrete foundation needed work to fix spalling and rusted rebar along an unanticipated cold joint that ran the entire perimeter of the house. Talk about a headache! With the building boom in the Bay Area we were anticipating it would take months to complete the repair. We received a strong recommendation for Mark and MC Construction from our foundation inspector (Concrete Science). Mark was very responsive, quickly getting back in touch to discuss the work. Although he is based in Livermore and the house was more than 3 hours away on the coast, he was happy to help us out and took it upon himself to research the details with Concrete Science and quickly turned around a proposal that was right in line with the original estimate we had received. He was then able to find a week in his busy schedule and mobilized his crew more rapidly than any contractor I've ever worked with. Rather than having to wait months and months, he was ready to get it done the very next week! Once on-site, Mark and the crew were thorough, detail-oriented, and extremely communicative, sending daily email updates with photos so we could see how the work was progressing. He also followed up with texts and phone calls to check in and see if we had any questions. This gave us confidence that everything was going smoothly, and we could see the progress day-by-day. By the end of the week, the work was done! We went up to the house the following weekend, and we could hardly believe how clean everything was -- we could barely discern that any dirt had been moved, even though we knew the foundation had just been excavated a few days before. The foundation was repaired, water-proofed, and smoothed along the entire length, with no debris or anything out of place, even in hard-to-reach locations behind vegetation. We were so impressed! We found Mark and MC Construction to be extremely professional, conscientious, communicative, and quick-moving -- and we couldn't be happier with their work. Thank you Mark!

Our house is dug into a steep hillside, with a 20ft concrete retaining wall separating the house…read morefrom the hillside. During big rainstorms our basement would leak in a number of places, causing all sorts of problems. French drains were not an option - the leak was 20ft down! After a $100k+ bid from a structural engineering firm, we hired a fantastic drainage consultant (Tom Anderberg). Tom recommended that we have our concrete wall injected with something to stop the leaks, and recommended Mark's company. Mark bid way, way less than the structural engineer and only took about two days to complete the initial work. Mark told us that they would probably have to come back once or twice to get any rouge leaks. When the next big storm came through, Mark's work had reduced the leaks by about 99% (a HUGE improvement), but we had him come out again and do one final injection. He gave us a five year warranty because of the chance that there could be a few more stragglers. Two years later, a tiny leak sprang up. I contacted Mark, and he responded immediately. He came out and performed one final injection. He even gave us a detailed final report by email. One last thing - he will transfer the warranty if the house is sold! In short, Mark is an honest and diligent contractor and I highly recommend his firm. He fixed a huge problem with our house at a fraction of the cost of a prominent engineering firm. He's a great resource for hillside homeowners!

So I brought the keys to 89th Ave Locks Keys Glass Etc where the owner looked at them carefully and could see why they didn't work. He cut and shaped them and sent me on my way. They worked perfectly. All three keys fit into the lock and turn easily. I'm not sure why the owner of Dutton Hardware had such a problem, but the owner of 89th Avenue Locks Keys Glass Etc fixed the keys in minutes and was extremely pleasant and professional while he did it. Go check out the guys at 89th Avenue. They were really nice and the shop seemed to have something for every possible home-related repair or project. Definitely worth a call or a visit!
