Most teachers are passionate about what they teach and most go beyond the call of duty. The school prides itself on a high percentage of AP students, and rightfully so! Lovejoy has something extracurricular for everyone. There is the traditional football, cheer/ drill team, volleyball, baseball, 4H etc. And then there's opportunities unlike other high schools, like Golf, Bowling, Medical Program, Lacrosse and many many more. Lovejoy supports all the activities and the school spirit can be really exciting when they combine in activities along side actual events, like Homecoming. Bullying exists. It still isn't handled to my standards, but overall the school offers a "safe environment". Like most high schools these day, Lovejoy also keeps a cop on the property at all times and the presence of a cop keeps everyone in line.

This was completely unacceptable and rude. The whole time we were in there, there was a "librarian" glaring at us the entirety of our visit with her glass eye having self. As we were getting kicked out the glass eye lady told her whole library squad and they stared us down the entire way out. This was utterly disrespectful and we felt like mistreated animals. Didn't their mothers ever tell them not to stare, or did they not have mothers to tell them that. Anyway that's besides the point, what I'm sayin is that this place is harrible. 1/5 stars wouldn't recommend

Although I only attended here for 1 and a half years (junior-senior year) I will say this school is great. This is a new school and Frisco does a great job of keeping their class sizes small and keeping their schools at 4-5a. This is to give every student a great opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities. Also because Frisco is booming there's obviously an influx of schools, if you haven't noticed. Because of this they're in high demand for educators. So some of the teachers are on the younger side but there's also some veterans paving the way. When it comes to test scores and education Heritage is not only in the top rankings for the DFW but the whole state of Texas. So parents your students are in good hands! I feel like the teachers do a great job at college preparation but like I said I only attended here for a short amount of time so most of my knowledge was already instilled. Heritage operates on an A-B schedule (where you don't go to every class everyday but interchange every other day) this is so great to get used to how college schedules will be like! One negative thing that I experienced here was participating in softball. I pretty much loved everything about it except for the fact that my coach broke state rules with the amount of hours practicing. We'd practice twice a day totaling at least 4 hours a day. During season it was very straining with homework and maintaining a normal life. She received multiple warnings but never changed. There's also a required study hall that coaches have to do maybe once a week or at least once a month. We never did that. She is no long there but just make sure when your students are participating in sports that education takes priority! Other positives: clean school, clean bathrooms, personable staff Other negatives: sheltering/coddling students (not conducive for college), dress coding is over the top and borderline pervy, insistent that the mascot is called KY-OATS (coyotes) no let's speak proper English it's KY-O-TEES.

These kids here are..... weird. It's suburban kids that try to act like they're from south Dallas and they're wanna be gangbangers.

The kids I have worked with are wonderful and always so respectful. The school seems to be kept in good condition. Parking can be difficult in the back lot by the gym if you're there when school lets out. The traffic flow isn't designed well. Overall a nice school!

The varsity coach of the girls volleyball team seams a bit shady.. she told the referee she had an…read more"important" dinner to go to so the referee made the game real quick with being bias and calling all penalties against the other team. In the rules of volleyball you cannot touch the net or go under the net. A player on CDA went under the net completely onto the other side of the court and this could have been a huge danger to the other team. She is lucky that she didn't hurt herself or anyone on the other team. This school is teaching UNSAFE sportsmanship and it needs to be shared.

It's been brought to my attention from many of the students that are currently attending in school…read moreclasses that there is a black flag with a blue stripe right as you enter the school. If the school officer likes it so much it should be put in his office. This flag is offensive to many and has no place in the school halls. Many students are unhappy with it being put in the halls, not cool at all and very inappropriate with what's going on right now.
