They responded quickly and were able to schedule us for the following week. Their crew had the job done in less than 3 days including all the final sanding just in time for the painters who were scheduled for the following day. Excellent quality of work, good crew and supervisor, and good communications with the schedulers and billing. Though we don't anticipate a need, we would repeat. 5 stars.

They came back and made it right. Adjusting to 4 stars for the effort. Thank you so much!read more

If you're looking for a quality contractor, I would highly recommend J Herrera Construction…read more We had a pipe burst behind our shower that damaged much of the drywall, so we decided to do a full remodel on our small bathroom. Our original contractor gave us the "run-around" after providing us with a quote, so we dropped them for J Herrera. We received a quote from J Herrera, and he assured us that the team he works with (plumbers, electricians, painters) were highly skilled and reliable. We gave him our ideas, and he provided some ideas of his own, and everything exceeded our expectations (see pics). We will definitely use J Herrera in the future when we are ready to remodel our kitchen! I must add, he is a nice guy

We have heard of projects taking months or twice as long as originally planned and the team worked tirelessly throughout the time to ensure our home was ready on time. When there were questions or issues they communicated quickly and clearly and provided recommendations while still allowing us to make final decisions. We are so appreciative of the hard work of their whole team and love how our home turned out.

We have given several jobs to Casey Johnston at our home on the Central Coast, and you can sum up…read morehis work by calling him a true professional. We started with a small job, the installation of a tankless water heater. What really impressed me was how neat every connection was, and how exacting every joint. It's as good as if I did it myself (and knew what I was doing!). We then had Casey do a complete makeover of the exterior of our home: new stucco, windows, doors, decks, railings and paint. It is really beautiful, both in craftsmanship and esthetics. People stop and tell me how attractive my home is now. Currently we are in the midst of a kitchen/living room remodel, and things are still great. Casey has stuck to the budget and kept on schedule, and we anticipate another satisfying, attractive result. His designer Kathy has been great with suggestions but has also listened to what we wanted, and so the result is exactly what we wanted before we actually knew what that was. Not that things don't go wrong in a remodel - no one is perfect, and neither is every product. When we have had the occasional hiccup, Casey has stood behind his work and remedied the problem quickly and without complaint. I would recommend Casey Johnston Construction without reservation.

Hired Creative Roofing in Oct-24 to install new roof on my house and set a date to start work and…read moresometime before the job was supposed to start Doug called me and said he needed to reschedule for the following month Nov-24 which I agreed to. About a week before the job was supposed to begin called Doug to confirm he was going to be ready to start the job and he said that he needed to reschedule it again i said no. Once the work began the work crew did a good job and showed up on time every day until the job was completed. Fast forward to April-26. I called and talked to Doug to have him install a bathroom roof vent and he said he would have his dad come to my house in about a week to install the vent. "NEVER HAPPENED" and never heard back from Doug. Fast forward to May-26 while having a contractor remove insulation from my attic they discovered that two of the roof vents that were installed when Creative Roofing installed my new roof in Nov-24 were leaking. So I called Doug about the vents and he sent his dad over to my house and his dad said that he couldn't find where it was leaking but thought it might be the vents. So a day or two later Doug and his dad showed up at my house and put some sealer around the two vents and said if they don't leak that they would replace the two vents. Well the next day it rained and I went up into the attic to see if they were leaking and they were not leaking and I text Doug to let him know that. Tried texting Doug two more times and still no reply. So I gave up on trying to contact Doug and called another roofing contractor to come look at the vents to get a second opinion and what he told me was that the two vents were not installed correctly. Fast foward to June-26 I found out that there weren't enough attic exhaust vents installed when they installed the new roof in Nov-24 and on top of that two of the four exhaust vents that were installed were not centered between the 2 x 4s and part of the two exhaust vents were actually under the 2 x 4 which partially blocked the exhaust vent which affected the amount of air being exhausted out of the attic. So in all I ended up spending an extra $2,400 to repair the leaky vents and add additional exhaust vents. Based on my own experience I would not recommend Creative Roofing.

As a Los Osos homeowner who recently had a bathroom remodel, I write to enthusiastically recommend…read moreCrizer Construction and, especially one of their team members, Ethan. Having remodeled previous houses, we knew how costs could grow over the course of a remodel. Because of this, we were extremely happy with the Crizer planning process. The planning was thorough with visual video representations of what our bathroom would look like upon completion. This together with the detailed budget and a guarantee that the cost might be less but would not be more than the estimate were huge factors in easing the pain of spending so much money. Crizer employs great employees. One of them, Ethan, did the carpentry, electrical and plumbing work in our bathroom (all of the work but the tile). As he spent over 3 months with us, we got to know him as a person and the quality of his work. I simply can't say enough about this young man. Every day when I walk into our bathroom I smile. The quality of Ethan's is stellar. He works efficiently but with precision and because he can complete carpentry, plumbing and electrical work with had no delays. In addition, Ethan kept the construction area extremely tidy. What impressed us, though, even more was Ethan's demeanor. Although quiet and calm, he communicated with us on a daily basis, updating us on his ETA each morning and on the progress he had made on our bathroom. He is one of the reasons why Crizer has been so successful. They hire quality people. Since the completion of our bathroom a year ago (August 2025) we have had Ethan come to help us with small projects on the weekend. He is one of a kind.

They do not operate with the professionalism or consideration you'd expect from a reputable…read morecontractor. The crews arrive every day at 7:00 a.m. and often stay well past 7:00 p.m. 11 hour day minimum. Most respectful contractors who start that early wrap up by mid to late afternoon -- especially on Fridays. The day I wrote this, (Friday) they were here over 12 hours. What's most frustrating is the lack of respect for the immediate neighbors. We've politely asked multiple times for them to be more mindful of the noise and late hours, but nothing has changed. In addition to the excessive construction noise, workers regularly encroach onto neighboring properties, toss materials into adjacent yards, and even bring a dog that urinates/defecates on neighboring lawns without cleaning up after it. Worker just hangs out at worksite well after work hours (11 hours+) walks his dog and acts as if he lives here. He doesn't. This company continues to show little regard for the neighbors living here. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. There are far more professional and considerate construction companies out there. And if this company's sign appears in your neighborhood, be prepared for extended workdays and no consideration. For those seeking contractor recommendations, there are several reputable companies that maintain reasonable working hours and demonstrate greater consideration for nearby residents throughout the construction process. Just hit me up I know a few great ones I can recommend. SKIP this one. UPDATE 6/20: Did I mention they work holidays AND weekends, so if you are hoping for a reprieve and enjoy outside time, think again! Contractor is here on a Saturday working, bang bang bang, drilling and sawing. HE simply DOES NOT CARE about the surrounding neighbors downtime like so many other contracting companies do. Again don't chose this company for not only your sake but your neighbors! There are so many others that work M-F 7:30-4 (like their website says) and actually follow it. RUN from this company and again if you see a sign go up I am so so sorry. Crizer do better!! Come on. UPDATE 6/27: Contractor still working Saturdays with no consideration for the neighbors. So much for enjoying time outside without constant construction noise. Love the sounds, bang bang, bang, drill, drill, drill, so considerate thank you. I had company coming over to enjoy outside patio but have to change plans as it is miserable to be outside. His crew started at 7:15 am - 6:30 p.m yesterday (Friday). Another 11+ hour workday. Their online hours - do not believe! They work 11 hour days and Saturdays! So the owner coming back today after 11 hours yesterday - lucky us neighbors! If you see this contractor's sign go up in your neighborhood, expect ongoing noise and little regard for the people living nearby. Residents please for your neighbors sake don't hire this company! UPDATE 7/3: Still working holidays, today a holiday for many off work, and neighbors thoughts of enjoying our time home on the holiday off work. Nope. Sawing and banging today. Please again find a more considerate contractor, so many let me know I know a few great ones! Reach out!
