After numerous times I requested my brakes to be inspected, I recently found out days after I had taken it to R&W that my rear brake callipers had seized and was told by BMW dealer these had to have been seized for weeks. They also said my rear axles needed replacing only to find out nothing was wrong with them from BMW. The photo shows that they also did not report the missing rotor screws that holds it in place to the wheel hub. Sam appears to be a nice servicemen but with poor craftsmanship in my opinion. He's cheap but in the end you pay for what you get.

I booked an appointment to get my alarm module replaced, because it also controls the sunroof…read more After about 2 hours, I went back and was told the alarm module needed to be replaced, duh. However, the part would have to be brought in and the cost would be about $500. I asked why the module was not ordered when I booked the appointment 2 weeks earlier, but I did not get a real reply. I decided not to go ahead and wait for the part. Because there were a lot of favourable comments on the service at Chapman Motors, I decided to try them out. I was not happy and I will not take my Volvo back there. They charge about the same as the dealer, and from now on, I will take my car into the dealer. I have no confidence in Chapman Motors.

Thereafter, I visited two different competitors based on recommendations for car damage not caused by me and it was terrible service, uncaring attitudes and easily identified poor workmanship that I had to ask be redone twice. Back to Advance . . . .Second visit: cracked windshield replacement and same bumper fix and repaint to my current car this year. Windshield done well - they called me in to show trim options to approve alternates. The bumper paint wasn't colour matched, but they admitted it and gave me a decent discount. Third visit: Yes, same bumper paint repair needed, but this time there was improved attention to detail, colour match and finish. Near perfect. All in all, Advance folks were super at customer service, and timely with the repairs. They spent time with my questions and seemed to care about the repair results. Vehicle rentals were quickly arranged, with a pickup by Budget in short turnaround. Service that met my expectations. I don't want to be back, but if I need, I will return to Advance.

I've been a loyal customer of Belmont for nearly 20 years -- until today. I called in, desperate,…read morebecause the windshield wiper mechanism was clearly installed wrong. The blades were rubbing against each other, and one finally snapped off while I was driving in the rain. I was shaken and upset. To my shock, the manager on duty, Kevin, responded dismissively and refused to help me, saying the shop was "too busy." Despite my distress, he essentially told me to "eff off." I then took my car to another shop -- also very busy -- and they managed to fix the wiper in under a minute. If a busy shop can handle a simple fix without drama, it's hard to justify staying with Belmont. After two decades of loyalty, I'll no longer use Belmont. My partner won't either. I'll be warning friends and family: if you want dependable service and respectful treatment, go somewhere else. Belmont -- your "too busy for customers" attitude guarantees you won't be so busy for long.
