Jay did a big project for us in December 2025, wrapping up in early January 2026. He replaced our…read moresub panel in our garage and tested all our circuits, including one that wasn't working and was unsafe. He added dedicated outlets for our new garage door opener and replaced two exterior lights. In the house he hung three replacement ceiling fans including upgrading their brackets for safety and performance. He also replaced a GFI near our porch and added an additional GFI to support our porch lights. Finally, he replaced all of our kitchen lighting including two pendants, five ceiling can lights and added a dimmer. Throughout the project, Jay's communication was excellent, he was careful with keeping things clean, even using a magic eraser to touch up the ceiling in the kitchen. His pricing was fair, especially for the workmanship and time he invested. He added panel rings to improve the look since our old plaster doesn't have perfect cuts... always trying to ensure we were delighted. If you have a job and want a straight shooter who will do quality work, Jay is your man.

During the coldest nights, our pilot light would go out leaving us with no heat at night. We called…read moreJohnson to come look at our boiler system. After the tech worked on it, the pilot light wouldn't come back on at all. He told us it was a valve he had to overnight to us leaving us with no heat for 4 days in below zero temps. After finally receiving the part (which was a $1000 valve), he installed it but the system still didn't work. The tech tried to tell us it was the heating element at $6000 or we can just replace the entire system for $9000. We told him to put the system back together and leave. After a couple of days, we hear a loud banging in my pipes and then my heat turns back on. After researching ourselves, we realized this tech at Johnson couldn't figure out that we had frozen condensation in our pipes which prevented our heat from working. Id also like to mention that bf this tech began working on our system, he had told us that he had just come from another call that he couldn't fix, and had to sell them an entirely new system. I'm believing now that this is their goal. To sell new systems, not fix the problem.D

I would NOT recommend Tyler Adams for any project. We hired him a couple of years ago to work on a…read morerental house and it took him months to finish the project. Fast forward to October of 2024- we thought we'd give him another chance. On 10/21/24, Tyler came out and looked at the project... it was hooking up a line to our fireplace. He said he would get us a quote. As of 11/18/24, we had not heard anything from Tyler and still did not have a quote for the project. On 11/25/24, we messaged Tyler telling him we needed this project done and he said the soonest he could get there would be 12/4 or 12/6. On 12/6/24, Tyler text and said he would have to reschedule. It is now 12/18/24 and we have not heard another word from Tyler. Tyler is unreliable! If you'd like a project done without having to beg someone to show up, Tyler is not the person you are looking for! We will never hire him again for anything!
