The shop is filled wall to wall with clocks of all shapes, sizes, and styles. The shop also has a fair number of curio cabinets. We were greeted by the owner of the shop, Art. We expressed that we were in search for a corner curio cabinet and he welcomed us to wander through the shop but also pointed out a catalog for Howard Miller that we could order from. After wandering the shop we looked at the catalog and the perfect cabinet popped from the pages and called my name. Art made a copy of the page so we could go home and debate about the purchase. He also took the time to call Howard Miller to confirm the availability of the cabinet and the price. Several weeks later we went back to the shop and ordered the curio cabinet. Art said it would be delivered directly to our house from Howard Miller and that the delivery people would unpack the unit, do any assembly, and take the packing materials away. The estimated delivery was two weeks. We made a deposit on the unit at the time we ordered it. (Be prepared this is a cash, check, money order only business as his prices are good enough that he can't afford to pay a percentage to credit card companies for processing.) When the delivery time approached the shop owner called and said he would come out for the delivery to assure that everything was done correctly and met our expectations. He gave me his cell number to call to tell him when the unit would be delivered. On the delivery day Art had an appointment that could not be changed for the exact window of time of the delivery but that was fine as I had no problem accepting the delivery. Minutes after the delivery Art did come past to check out our purchase and make sure that we were satisfied customers. I paid him the outstanding balance on the unit and he gave me a paid receipt. We are extremely happy with our purchase and the service we received from Works of Art Clock Shop! Woohoo, for an A+ experience!!! Note: Works of Art Clock Shop is only open from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. but is well worth the morning visit. The owner is semi-retired but does a lot of clock repairs, which is his specialty.
