The Clock Shop has had our vintage clock for soon to be 5 years. We have tried multiple times to get in touch with the business. Phone calls, emails to no avail. When you dial the number there is no way to leave a message. I am sick of it. I am going downtown today to file a civil claim. I want my clock back. Don't ever take anything you value to this place. The place is a complete dump that you can barely walk around in. They state they are experts in repairing clocks and antique music boxes. They kept my music box for two years, damaged it, and did no repairs. He even lied about what "repairs" he did. He lost the original disc I sent along and even the towel I had it wrapped in to protect it. The case was also damaged while in his possession. Don't even think about considering this place for anything. Sorry, but they are that bad. read more

I took my clock (inherited from my grandmother and my mother) in for a tuneup in the first week of November 2017. For the first year, they kept saying "It'll be ready in two weeks." Then it was "We'll call you when it's ready." Then it was "I misplaced parts of it but I'm sure to find them soon." It has now been THREE YEARS AND SEVEN MONTHS and I still don't have my clock. The owner is evidently incompetent and is definitely untrustworthy. He is basically a thief, having taken my property and refusing to give it back. If you do business here, prepare for years of frustration. read more

Honestly feels like stepping into a Wes Anderson movie. It's not only clock repair, but magic supplies and vintage toys. They're excellent with clocks and the owner is an older gentleman who is extremely good at close-up magic done with a dog puppet for any children in the shop. I used to go there when I was ten or so because my dad worked down the street, and when he saw me trying to decide between two toys he sold me both for the price of one. Adorable little hole in the wall shop with an equally wonderful shop owner. I brought two clocks in - a cuckoo and anniversary clock. He was very honest with me and said they are gorgeous clocks but not worth much except sentimentally. He said that he could fix them both for about $500+. He encouraged me to take them home and think about it because "though they are wonderful, it is maybe not the best way to spend $500." He didn't fix my clocks but I certainly appreciate the honesty! I probably will have one of them fixed because I love it but it will be, admittedly, a luxury expenditure. A luxury expenditure I intend to take to Edgar. read more

My roommate and I stopped in today while walking through downtown. I absolutely loved this place! It is disorganized, but the shop owner is an amazing guy and it is very easy to look passed the mess. I ended up purchasing a small clock and he made sure to put a fresh battery into it. I definitely would recommend to stop by at least once just to check it out. read more
