The owner, Jackie, was unwelcoming and unkind. I was 2 minutes late
for my first appointment with her and she immediately proclaimed she
would not service me. I even offered to cut my appointment time from
60 minutes to 55 minutes to 45 minutes or to 30 minutes and pay her
the hourly fee. She refused, saying her next client was not until 3PM
and she'd rather take an hour off to sit and relax. After looking her
over, I realized she had some type of brace on her right arm and was
quite overweight - so I could definitely understand why she needed an
hour of rest time.
Plus how do you do deep tissue massage with an injured right hand? I
told her fine and left. Got back in my car and it was 2:02. I then
got a text from her at 2:10 stating she had charged me $75 for being
15 minutes late (which was obviously false as she included a photo
showing she had charged me and it was time stamped 2:10...if I had
arrived at 2:15 - then how could she have charged me at 2:10???).
Minutes thereafter i received a text saying she was sorry and would
refund the charge. She also stated she would speak to her staff about
not informing me that I should have come 15 minutes early to fill out
paperwork. But then 10 seconds later she texted stating she was not
going to do what she said in the prior message and she was charging me
$75.
Huh?
Here's the text conversation:
From Jackie at 833-239-6712: Hi, I'm sorry you were not told to arrive
early. I will talk to the staff about this. I have issued you a refund
for your purchase.
Seconds later: That message is not correct. You can contact your
credit card company and I will fight it with them. Have a great day
My response: You agreed not to charge me because you were aware that
1) no one told me to arrive 15 minutes late, 2) that I was 2 minutes
(not 15 minutes) late, 3) that I volunteered to cut my session time
from 60 to 45 minutes, 4) you did not have another customer until 3,
and 5) you preferred to take an hour rest as your injury made it
challenging to do deep tissue. And yes I will contact you repeatedly
and publish all correspondence on line so that others know you are not
fair and not providing the services you are supposed to.
From Jackie at 833-239-6712 showing she charged me at 2:10 for being 2
minutes late:

My response back: I can see above that at 2:10 pm you charged me $75.
Yes, it was done at 2:10 as I left your office at 2:02. If I had been
15 minutes late your charge would have been at 2:20 or so. So thanks
for proving I was was not 15 minutes late!
Jackie responded that she didn't care and was charging me! Then she
took the brace/splint off her right hand and sent me a photo of her
hand. Bizarre at best! read more
