    Bitters and mixers

SUCH a cute place. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. It was like a wine-tasting experience, but lots more variety. We got to try soda water with three types of bitters and enjoy a full cup of our favorite while exploring. We got to try four different mocktails made with the nonalcoholic spirits, one of them with kava. Then we tried three different red and three different white nonalcoholic wines. We got to try them with the different bitters too which adds a nice touch. Overall, this was a wonderful inclusive experience and I highly recommend giving it a try.

Information cards provided with the sample bitter pack that I purchased.

I had the most amazing birthday party at the LaRocca tasting room. I'm so glad I decided to have my…read moreparty there. Not only is their wine and champagne fantastic (organic-sulphate free!), it's also ideal for the kind of quaint and intimate gathering I was desiring. Everywhere I turned, there was a sweet face to converse and catch-up with. We brought in a great musician to play his saxophone while we all danced around. And my charcuterie spread was of the chain, fantastic. It covered a whole dining table. My favorite was enjoying my apricot and cream filled cake from nearby Upper Crust Bakery. Their server was on point. She kept everyone's champagne glasses full, which was crucial on this hot summer's evening. I wish I could party like this every weekend. It felt like a real Napa-Chico experience. I'd recommend to anyone to have their special event here. Thank you LaRocca, I'll be back! -Prairie

Highly acidic flat wine that had a few varieties in bottle. We choked our way thru the first tasting and apologized to the staff member " it just wasn't our flavor". I paid the full fare and he denied it. I apologized again and left it in his tip jar for two tasting and a glass. This winery has been around since the 80's. The tasting room was a bit cluttered and a nice tasting bar but staff not the wine held our attention. Maybe there's reason why wine has improved since the Dawn of time.

The historic Thompson House is the perfect backdrop for wine tasting. The thing I love most about MFC is that it doesn't feel like a wine bar. It's got wine and a bar... but it feels like you're hanging out at your trendy friend's house. There's a living room area with fireplace, a dining room, a front porch with a cafe table & chairs, and big front lawn with Adirondack chairs in pairs & quads. Truly a choose your own pleasure! We couldn't pass up the perfect late spring afternoon, so I sunk into a deep Adirondack chair and enjoyed my wine tasting al fresco. The neon sign in the front window is the cutest, and just added to the overall vibe. Chuck was so hospitable, and brought me each pour from his post behind the bar inside. He gave insight into each wine, and then disappeared so I could enjoy at my own pace. MFC is very dog friendly, inside too, but I can't think of anywhere I've been in recent memory that was more perfect than wine tasting here on the front lawn with my pup in my lap. This tasting room is looking to provide high quality service that people would expect from more established wineries and they are doing it right. I've been here 4 times by the time of writing this review and the experiences have all been fantastic. All the staff really do invest in the guests. Very knowledgeable about the wine and dishes. They take the time to really break down the wine and food if you don't know your stuff like me. They check up on you frequently! I really enjoyed the Carmenere wine. It's not as dry and is easily palatable for people who don't usually prefer red wines. I'm not super knowledgable in wine, but the flavors were earthy and slightly dark fruity taste. Some nights they have live music or events to meet the owners. Can't wait to see how the vineyard turns out if this is just a sneak peak of what's to come!

They not only have a large selection of wines that we learned are made in Granite Bay, but they also have a long list of delicious foods including a list of specials that includes steak and a potato soup paired with focaccia! Based on my wine tasting experiences, I must say they have one of the best and largest food menus I've ever seen, so I was very impressed by their menu and knowing they have their own chef! We enjoyed our white and red wines, including Sierra Foothills Estate Barbera, Sierra Foothills Viognier, Petaluma Gap Chardonnay, and rosé. I must say I ate the most savory, flavor-filled, crab cakes sitting on a delicious river of remoulade, topped with artichoke, fennel, pickled peppers, with a side of romesco sauce. We couldn't resist adding baked brie to our food tasting selections. The service is excellent and we learned how their wines are made and they will be opening another Lecavalier Cellars with a wine cave near Loomis in Spring 2026! I enjoyed the beautiful ambiance and the excellent music that was icing on the cake! We are already talking about coming back! Cheers!
