Ernie, the owner of Straight Line, knows his stuff and I found him interesting to talk with about a subject I have very little knowledge of. The men who installed the roof after taking off the old one, did a fantastic job. They were efficient, conscientious and super clean. They spent from 7:30 til 5pm, non-stop and did it in a day. I would certainly recommend Straight line roofing if you are looking to have a job done right.

My roof was at least 25 years old, covered in moss, had massive ice dams every winter, and I knew…read moresomething was off because my ceiling had been slowly sagging in my living room since I moved in a few years ago. The living room was an addition, so had a flat roof compared to the rest of the home and different roofing material. Roofers Elite gave me a reasonable price for replacing my roof and also said they were happy to help me figure out what was going on above my living room. Nobody could have anticipated what we would find mid-job. Not only was the ridge beam broken from snow load, but absolutely nothing in that area of roof was up to code. It was all being held up by *2x4s* and showed signs of stress. At this point, another company might have bowed out. But Cody, Luis, and Vinne took it in stride, immediately made a plan of attack, and in the end did what was best for my family and my forever home. They completely rebuilt my roof from scratch and changed the entire roofline to prevent future damage from snow and ice. The whole crew even worked through Saturday to get it done. If you're trying to decide between a few different roofing companies, go with Roofers Elite. I mean it. They will do whatever they can to take care of you and make sure the job gets done right.

In their defense, he always returned my calls immediately but had to postpone at least 2 times. They sent 2 workers to assess the damage and do a temporary repair until they could get me an estimate. Said it would be $1,000 for the repair and said they would credit that amount toward a new roof. The men were at the premise for 25 minutes, from the time they drove down the driveway until they left. They said that they put 3 feet of ridge vent to protect me from any leaking. The owner came by after they left to pick up his $1,000.00. (He had never assessed the damage, himself) They came highly recommended and I trusted them, due to whom the recommendation came from. While waiting for my estimate, I had 2 other roofers give me estimates and they all determined that I needed a new roof. After another week or so, Roofing Elite gave me a verbal quote of $35,000. I told him that I had other estimates and he reduced his bid to $32,500. The other 2 companies came in between $27000 and 28,000. The insurance adjuster came to the premise and said we did not need a new roof and they sent another estimator, from Massachusetts, with years of experience in the business ,and we were told that it could be repaired for less than $1,000. We hired a local contractor, who is a custom builder, and as a favor, he nailed a few shingles down and used 2 tubes of roofing glue and insisted that we did not need a new roof. I feel that $1,000 was excessive for what they did and was told by the Insurance company and the other roofers that the job should be approximately $400.00. I would not recommend this company.
