Seemed like a good service at first. I will be the first to admit that they provide a service that…read moreis challenging to keep good employees in. They provide home health aides to come into the home and help people with disabilities or overwhelmed families with personal care or care for their loved-ones. It is not an easy job and sometimes not a pretty job. These home health aides are tasked with driving miles to strangers homes (sometimes for only an hour or so throughout the day) and helping with personal care such as bathing, toileting, dressing, light cleaning, meal preparation etc. The biggest problem seems to be lack of consistency. If an aide calls off or cannot make it to a clients home they do offer a replacement. The challenge here is that most of the clients served are elderly, suffer from dementia, and need a care provider that they are familiar with. For the families, providing a "back up" aide in the event of a call-off can be helpful, but many families or clients are not comfortable with different care givers coming every day. Also when a back up aid is provided they are usually unfamiliar with the client, their care needs, the family, and the clients routine in general. That said, the family usually spends that time teaching the aide what needs to be done. In this scenario, and when it happens often it becomes more of an inconvenience than help as the family not only still has to provide the care themselves, but are now tasked with training Mercy Plus's aide. So why you ask? Why is it so hard to keep a good aide? After dealing with this company for years the answer is clear. Money. Mercy Plus gains access to and provides service through various channels. Many clients are gained by contract with Area Agencies on Aging who operate on a budget and will give the bid to the lowest vendor's bid (Mercy Plus). So naturally, they are unable to pay their aides a wage that encourages them to work. They (in most cases) do not pay their aides for mileage and the aides drive all over the county, like I said earlier sometimes only for an hour or two. By the time the aide fuels their vehicle, not to mention wear-and-tear expenses they are left with little to no income, if they don't end up going negative or actually paying to work. So who would do this? Most of the caregivers are compassionate people who enjoy helping others, most. After working for a couple of weeks and realizing that after paying for gas and driving all over they are actually losing money, they do what anyone would do and quit. The company then blames the aides by saying they "just can't keep people who want to work". No Mercy Plus wrong. Your aides would love to work and make a living wage. The reason you can't keep employees is that you don't pay them well enough and they can't even afford to work. I have seen this scenario play out over and over again. So stop blaming your employees and start taking responsibility for your company. This company and it's ownership/management are more concerned with their bottom dollar than the actual service they provide to the client. I would not recommend them, I would stay away. There are many companies in this area that do the same thing. Its a hard business. But like with any business you will not be able to keep employees if you keep neglecting them. And the rub. It is the client they are caring for in the first place who has to deal with all of their problems. #GETITTOGETHERMERCYPLUS.

I had a lot of anxiety about getting an endoscopy here but the staff answered my questions so many times with care and concern. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted with a smile and compassion. The staff was a little behind on schedule and they continued to apologize but I didn't mind because it gave me time to make some prayers beforehand. The nurse with the pink lemonade nails was a total joy and made me feel at ease! The anesthesiologist was so warm and friendly. When I got into the room, Dr. Nathan Landesman actually took time to speak to me, asked me questions to understand my concerns and reason for visit. He continued to give me space to ask him anything I needed. All with a big smile! The anesthesiologist in the room, Dave or Dale, I forget, was so kind and made me feel so much at ease. Absolutely incredible recovery. I woke up having my mom by my side and another absolute sweetheart of a nurse who kept me comfortable, hydrated and got me snacks. She was an angel! Dr. Landesman came in afterwards and informed me all about the procedure and made sure I was feeling comfortable and doing good. He let me know everything he found and made me feel reassured and helped give advice on treatment and a plan to further investigate my pain. Absolutely 100% *OUTSTANDING* medical office, bedside manner, everything all around! I wish every medical experience I have had was as smooth as what I experienced here at Health Park Endoscopy!! Anyone who has gone through this knows how physically demanding and exhausting a 24-hour liquid fast and prep are. When we arrived, he honestly mentioned he took a tiny sip of water an hour prior. The staff immediately treated him with hostility, acting as if he had committed a crime. While we understand there are medical guidelines for sedation, the paperwork they provided explicitly stated that a sip of water was allowed with medication. Because the instructions were ambiguous and poorly written, my husband made an honest mistake. Instead of explaining the medical risks calmly and professionally, the staff treated him like a nuisance and rushed to get rid of him. The worst part was the absolute lack of organization and accountability afterward. I called to see how we could resolve this since he was already completely prepped. First, they told us to come back at 4:15 PM. Then, they took it back, stating they close at 4:30 PM and "didn't want to stay late" if the procedure ran over. Then, they offered an appointment for the next day at 12:00 PM, only to call back again and cancel it, literally telling me that he "doesn't fit in the place." The clinic director was incredibly disrespectful and defensive. They refused to help, refused to accommodate him after making him go through a grueling physical prep, and refused to even refer him elsewhere. This level of laziness, poor communication, and complete disregard for patient dignity is unacceptable. Do not trust this place with your care. They care more about their clock-out time than human beings.

I have no reason to ever go to another hospital for help. I am always treated with respect and patience, no matter how horrible or emotional I feel. The nursing staff is really very good, as are the doctors. The rooms are all private which is a big plus for me. Housekeeping is there everyday to not only keep things clean, but to see if anything is needed from them. The staff is required to come to your room every hour to check on you, even when you haven't asked for anything. On top of all this, there is manager on each floor that is visits everyday. They work really hard to ensure their patients are comfortable and have everything they need. And there are a few things on their food menu that are actually very good ... Omlettes made to order for breakfast and yummy potroast. In addition to the pneumonias, I also had stomach cancer and lost my entire stomach and a few other organs I would have preferred keeping. After all I have been through, having a hospital like has meant so much to me. I can't change the sickness, but at least I know I can go somewhere to be taken care if so wonderfully. We were very pleased with Crowne Point facility and staff. From checking in to being released the entire staff was friendly and informative. Dr. Elbedawi went through the procedure, explaining details and what he would be doing from beginning to end. I really appreciated him taking the time to treat me like a person and not just "another patient." They send out detailed instructions on how to prepare yourself for the procedure. Multiple telephone calls to remind us of the date and get my medical information so I didn't have to fill out a bunch of forms the morning of. And even though I had misread the clear and concise directions, they remained patiently courteous and worked around my error and made sure that everything moved forward in a timely manner. There was no wasted time, and everyone was quite kind. I would certainly recommend Dr. Elbedawi and the professionals at Crowne Point Endoscopy and Surgery Center.
