Promised he could complete by July 14th. He took $16,000 deposit in May, and then a couple of days later he needed another $6,000. He hired some people for a couple days to break up concrete. He never paid his sub (sprinkler and lighting guy) so I had to pay that out of pocket so they wouldn't rip out all of the sprinkler/lighting work. Another $4k there. My back yard is a complete disaster since he hasn't been back in over a month and won't return my calls/emails/texts. The few trees that he planted are all dead. He busted up my new fence when cutting down a tree that he wasn't supposed to cut down, there's another $1,600 to fix. See pics for before and current. My backyard wasn't even all that bad before, now I'm out $28k with nothing to show for it but a ruined muddy/overgrown back yard. They're able to learn new protocols quickly and execute complex, custom plans flawlessly, while also being able to improvise when required. This is a rare combination of *real* skills -- especially within today's "expendable labor" and "just-in-time fulfillment" business environment. They've got high employee retention and are able to offer veterans with sometimes 10+ years of experience in their work. Our first encounter with them was in 2007, and several of the very same people who helped us then were assigned to our crew when we needed them in April, 2023. Our recent move was complicated -- merging contents from separate locations into a third destination using a split-squad team, divided among two trucks. The job was completed *under budget* due to their efficiency, and they left our many items accessible, organized, undamaged, and protected.
