One word: Outstanding. Just moved to the area and desperately needed a hair cut. Found All Star Barbers on yelp and had good reviews. Walked straight in with no appointment. Asked Cortlin and explained being a Soldier I need a high and tight. He spent a good deal of time cutting my hair and his attention to detail and focus was amazing. I have been in the military for 15 years and this was by far the best hair cut I have had. Any other Military blokes out there need a sharp hair cut....see Cortlin. Am definitely going back. Thanks Cortlin. Great job. read more

Been going to this barber shop for my whole life and it's always consistently good. The barbers are incredible and get the job done, and have extensive knowledge on the intricacies of hair styling. read more

They screwed up my brothers hair and made it a buzz cut after asking for a little bit off the top and a mid taper. Also fual language was being used casually used near little children including a toddler read more

The lady in the first station, I think her name is Frida. She is amazing! She did not cut too much. I don't know why some barbers don't realize they can glue the hair back . Cheers to her! She asked me," do you want to keep your curls?" From that moment I thought to myself " She is goin to be great!" Bring cash to pay and to tip read more

Fire shop would for sure hit this barber shop again the cuts are cool AF try this place out man you don't be disappointed

The guy in the first chair did a good job and stayed late. $25 for a haircut and cash only? That's too expensive imo. Lil man looks good, I've seen other places for $10 still. Gonna go elsewhere for future. $25 is steep for a little kid. Hours are wrong, closes at 6. read more

Need a haircut? Well, book in advance! All star barbers are providing grade A haircuts at only $25 a pop plus a $5 appointment fee. Don't wanna book an appointment? Well, get ready to keep that seat warm lol these guys are extremely busy and there's a reason why. read more

Courtland was awesome. We are visiting in town and needed a taper for my son and a beard trim for my husband. My son currently has braids. I didn't have time to take them down beforehand as we were attending a wedding and doing this last minute. He figured it out and did what he could and it came out great. We were very happy with his work. We sent two other groomsmen his way. Not sure if they made it, but we were convinced he could help us out. read more

All Star Barbers - My son looked great! - Barbers Near Me - Torrance, California

I moved to Torrance over a month ago and have been trying out different barbershops in the area. I haven't left happy with the end results until yesterday Friday after trying out All-Star. I called around 11am to schedule an appointment and sure enough they squeezed me in at 2:30 which was perfect for me. Showed up, easy parking, waited maybe 5 minutes until Cortlin got me started. I'm no barber but I know what a great haircut looks like. Cortlin's blend game is on point! My Line-up, beard trim/line-up was up to my standards. He knew exactly what I needed and he executed my expectations. If you're like me, you dread the idea of having to find a new barber when you've been going to the same one for years but believe me, I checked the work of all the barbers there and they're all great! This is definitely where I'll be coming for as long as I live in the South Bay. Thanks All-Star! read more

All Star Barbers - New cut who dis - Barbers Near Me - Torrance, California

The crew here are all top notch and really take the time to deliver. There are often between 3 - 5 barbers during hours and all operate at a high standard. Walk in cuts are an option but the wait can be a while. Appointments can be had for additional cost but are wise if you have less time to burn (the cuts do take time, too). The atmosphere is very casual, the barbers chatter is light and fun, and there is plenty of parking. read more

I really wanted to like this place and make it my regular barber shop, but at this time I just can't do that. This shop is very close to my house, the price is reasonable and I got a decent cut on my first visit. Unfortunately I cannot get past the fact thaT this place is really dirty! It's obvious the chairs in the waiting area are not moved when sweeping and there is dust and hair everywhere. While I was there I witnessed one of the barbers finish a client and then just stare at his phone until the next client arrived. His area was not swept and his equipment was not cleaned. I really hope they can improve their cleanliness. read more

Walked in when they opened at 0830 today and employee said he has an appt coming in at 0900.. so depending on what I wanted to do he'll try to squeeze me in. While there was absolutely nobody in the shop and the fact that my hair in already short made it an absolutely ridiculous question and made for an awkward exchange. I just want a haircut from a place that says walk in welcome. Won't be using this service again. read more

Hello Yelpers! It was my first time in this place, and It was the most uncomfortable because I was basically a TEST DUMMY! I called in to get information and set an appointment, one of the dudes was pretty good at setting this up for me. When I arrived there, everyone was busy, I didn't think too much of it. There was a women that greeted me and asked me if I wanted a haircut? SHE WAS REALLY NICE! I replied yes I called for an appointment. I didn't know what else to do, so I waited and she asked me again weather I wanted to get a haircut... I repeated yes, but I made an appointment. I asked one of the dudes if I had to wait for the person i spoke to, he said "whoever man". I told the lady that was there--sure, reluctantly. Then shortly after she begins cutting my hair and I began to feel worried. Yet I thought to myself, well maybe its just me over thinking things. I wish that I was wrong. Turns out that the lady did not really know what she was doing so another barber came by and began correcting her on how to cut my hair IN FRONT OF ME! luckily the dude fixed my hair. However its not what I came in for, unfortunately this was a very awkward experience. If that was not enough they still charged me full price, for a test dummy hmm... what do you think? read more

This is the only place I go for haircuts. I don't have a "go-to" barber and I just walk-in and take the first guy available. Never had a bad cut. The guys pay meticulous attention to detail and never treat you like you are on an assembly line and trying to get you in and out as fast as possible just to churn the seats. You won't be disappointed. read more

They're pretty darn good stylists and I've always loved their work. However, their customer service needs serious improvement. I got in at 3:15pm and three people were ahead of me, six barbers were working. At about 4pm, I was next in line. When I'm next, the two guys that came after me (which seem to be buddies with the barbers) get bumped to first and I'm stuck waiting again. Mind you, one of the guys has a kid and he's also getting a haircut. So that means three people cut in front of me. I just got up and left. I'm annoyed at their unprofessionalism and how they handle business. I've been coming here for over a year to support this local business but as of today, I'm no longer planning on going there. The wait time is always too long. Be prepared to stay there for about 2-3 hours every time you get a haircut. Not worth my time, thank you! read more

First let me preface: I am a professional, 38yr old male and was in need of a place to get a nice cut. I had previously been going to a Salon where male cuts ran $55 and female cuts were much higher. The ONLY reason I went to the Salon was because my "stylist" was a long time friend from High School. Well, that hook-up went away so I was in search of a new go-to Salon. Allstar was recommended by a friend who lived in the area. Luckily for me, it was on the same street I take home from work. I stopped in yesterday (Thursday) at around 3pm. There was no line and Gabe sat me down. Gabe did a brilliant job on my hair to say the least. He took his time and asked me questions whenever he was unsure of how I wanted a certain area cut. When I think of barbers, I think of buzz cuts for Marines, don't ask me why... I just do. So since I keep my hair long on top and shorter on the sides, I was a bit nervous about my visit. Bottom line: Gabe handled my hair like a Salon pro. As I sat there, I also observed the other barbers giving cuts. They also, all took their time and made sure the customer was happy. My girlfriend was shocked at how well it turned out. $15 for a cut where a high end salon would charge $55 for? Shut up and take my money! Gabe and Allstar have earned themselves a repeat customer. read more

Professional barbers who are friendly enough to chat with you without trying to channel their inner Ice Cube & Cedric the Entertainer. This is a friendly place for all types-I see parents bringing their kids in here regularly. Not being from the area, I was introduced by a local friend to this place a few years ago and have been a loyal customer ever since. I used to get my hair cut at some lady's garage for $7 but I shell out the extra dough not just because of the high quality work, but because I genuinely enjoy going in and getting my hair cut here. So whether you're like me and just come in for the regular #3 and a taper, or you need to get your beard lined up for that big job interview coming up, All Star Barbers can serve you. Johnny and Eric are both great barbers, but they have a whole team of experienced staff now and all of them appear to be A-Okay. read more

Horrible experience! I asked for a comb over and the guy gave me a hair cut that looks like a toupee. And the ONE dollar sign is false advertisement because I paid $25 for a toupee. If you want fake hair goto a costume store because it's the same, but a better investment read more

I first came to this shop for 3 reasons: 1.) $15 for a cut 2.) Good reviews 3.) My usual barber was out of town Most of the barbers here seem to do great work but Z is my go to guy. He takes his time n knows how to cut to fit your style. This place has a cool vibe. The barbers all seem pretty young and like the name suggests, there's a bunch of sports paraphernalia on the walls and something sports related playing on TV. The waiting area is a bit crammed but the overall shop is a decent size with usually 4-5 customers getting cut at a time. With that said however, the wait can be long if you don't have an appointment ($20) with your favorite barber. This place is worth checking out if you don't have a go to barber shop in the Southbay! read more

Edit: I had the opposite experience of the following review (that I wrote a few years ago) on my last visit. I was the first review and I gave it 5 stars. Today, I have to retract my 5 stars down to 1. My new review is that I went to see my barber from last time (LTB=Last Time Barber). LTB said he was really busy and suggested one of the new guys. The new guy sucked (big time) and LTB was not busy. LTB was trying to do the new guy a solid... At my expense... I drove all the way there to get my haircut my way and they pull this bro's for life crap? I'm not a commodity that you use in order to prove how such a cool guy you are. Screw that, I'm done with this place. I'll leave the old review, but be warned that it is obsolete and no longer my opinion. Businesses change and, sadly, this one changed. OLD REVIEW: The thing I like about this place is that they really take the time to cut your hair in a perfectionist way. I asked for a haircut and I ended up getting a headcut. In other words, not only did he cut the hair on my scalp, he also trimmed my beard, and gave it all the straight razor finish. All for the price of a haircut ($14). I asked about the potential extra cost for a beard trim ($7) and my barber told me not to worry about it. I think that evidenced that their team takes a nit-pickish pride in their craft. I think it's refreshing to see a business operate in such a manner. My only problem was they didn't take credit cards when I went, but the haircut was so good, I don't think that fact deserved knocking the business down a star. read more

Prices were great but the building was not fantastic. My barber cut my hair from an angle where I couldn't see a mirror. The result was alright but not ideal. read more

This one's for my husband. We were looking for a legit barber shop in the area that had a few things going for it: 1. Reasonable price 2. Good hours/not too long of a wait 3. Good parking 4. Obviously, barbers who can cut hair well! Check, check, check, check - this place has it all!! Guys, skip the fantastic sam's, supercuts, haircuttery type places because for a similar price you can have a great haircut from experienced professionals. Plus, it's a quiet place to get away from all those women and kids that drive you crazy. read more

I have never been to a barber shop before and after this experience I don't think I could ever go back to a salon. Everyone in the shop was great, it was a community feel which was a nice change of pace and a good way to end a day. They did a great job with my hair and beard, took my input and tweaked if for what would look best on me. Prices were more than fair. I'll be a regular for sure. read more

Best Barbers hands down in the south bay!!! MUST check this place out, cozy chill atmosphere, detailed skilled barbers, clean and renovated from the previous shop! My first time coming here. Came in for a faux hawk and that's what I got. They cut hair like artists and turned my haircut into a masterpiece. Affordable, since I've been looking around for a new haircut place to do these cuts. Very male/sport vibe (mens only restroom and basketball memorabilia) the wait can be long because they put a lot of time and effort into haircuts. $20 if you make an appointment or $15 for walk ins. I was kinda scared because I thought he went overboard on my cut (including using a straight razor on the edges) but he did it right. Great place I would definitely cover back again read more

This review is for all the men at All Star Barbers, especially Gabe. My husband and son have been coming here for years now. Gabe gave my son his first hair cut at 1 years old (when my son was cool, calm and collected) and he did an awesome job. Fast forward to now, seems like my son grew a hair cutting phobia and kicks and screams and acts a fool. Gabe has the patience of a saint and never gets upset or frustrated, but remains calm and understanding of my sons fits. He does an excellent job and doesn't rush his work, but stays patient and finishes to the end. Thank you Gabe for being so patient with my kid. Hopefully he will grow out of this phase soon. And thank you to all the men who work here for not getting upset and kicking us out because my son can't handle a simple hair cut. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. read more

Hit and miss. They really messed up my hair this time. Looks like they placed a box on my head and cut around it.

Besides the finding of the place where it was located, i found that this barbershop is quite awesome. The barber that cut my hair today was Ivan. I generally have faith in any barber that cuts my hair because they are a professional for a reason. For those who give bad reviews, I'd advise you don't. My reason for this is that anyone can make mistakes and cutting hair is one of them. The main thing to understand is that your hair will grow back. Sure you'll have to look the way you do for a couple of weeks but so what.. try it again with the same barber and if your results don't change, then you are justified in your review. Anyway... I came in just for a simple fade and slight cut off the top. During the haircut Ivan asks a few questions to gauge whether or not to proceed with certain things such as giving me a line (that thing right next to the comb over.. i think that is what it is called.. dont remember at the moment) and if i wanted a taper. I asked what both were and was able to accurately describe what they were. I said yes and he proceeded. Gotta say I'm very please with my haircut and would come back again. read more

My son and I have been going here since the doors opened. It is a great shop with the best barbers. The haircut can't be beat. Even my nephew comes all the way from Corona to get his hair cut. These guys are the best barbers in the South Bay and have the best prices. Shop is always clean and having DirecTV is always a plus when you have to wait a bit. All Star Barbers just has that nice neighborhood feel that makes you want to come back. My wife took my son to a Supercuts one night because it was late and he had school pictures the next day. She could tell the difference and said never again. Next time we'll just have to beg John to stay late. If you live in the area you have to give it a try. They do all kinds of styles. You may have to wait a bit sometimes, but do you really want to go to a barber shop where there is never a line? read more

Relocated to LA from NY recently and have had a lot of trouble finding a proper barbershop here. I think I've finally found what I am looking for in this place. No women getting a cut and dye or anything like that - just a bunch of guys that can actually do a fade properly and use a straight razor. Will be returning in a couple weeks. read more

These guys are very friendly. Moses was my barber and he was very patient with me. Admittedly, I never put much thought into my hair for the longest time; I just needed to have my hair out of my eyes so that it wouldn't impact my visibility when playing sports. That Moses was able to interpret by nontechnical description and produce something I was happy with, and the fact that he admitted to having to make a correction and narrating his work when there were pauses in our conversation was impressive in my opinion. Only after freshman year did I experience a more professional cut. After returning home then, I only visited their location because of their positive reviews and I am pleased to report they provide the level of service (minus the environment) I found at the Princeton Barbershop in Princeton, New Jersey but for a much lower fare. read more
