I had him fix my dryer and my oven, and he took a look at the plumbing under the sink. He's on time...when they say between 1 & 2pm he's there close to 1. That and my cats really liked him. Thank heaven for Devin! I have three Bosch appliances - the dishwasher had given up the ghost and I knew my washer had some issues and the dryer just started making a weird sound. He was recommended to me about someone else in the industry because he repairs Bosch which I knew would be hard to find. He literally listened to all the appliances and worked out what was wrong - he asked a few questions - and ordered some parts. It took a few days for them to come in because of the holidays but that's ok. He was courteous, on time (in fact even early on the day or repair), and was reasonable - beats having to go out a buy a whole new system. Especially when I thought the washer was a heap of junk - turned out it needed a little part. I love supporting a small business especially in these times. read more

Very disappointed!!! I found All Star Appliance through Yelp and their excellent 5 stars reviews. I contacted All Star repair and made an appointment for Jan 3 since they were understandably closed over Christmas and New Year. My Bosch dishwasher failed over Christmas and with family dinners and such it was the wrong time to failed but it did. I made an appointment with their receptionist Carol to have Devin come out to check the dishwasher on Jan 3, 2013 Thursday. Devin was a nice enough guy and checked out my dishwasher and diagnose the impeller has failed and possibly the circulation pump motor. He check with his supplier and identify the circulation motor and impeller was available for $165 and $70.00 labor to install. It should be in early next week and he should be able to install it by Thursday. We paid $60 for a 20 minutes visit and we were happy with his service so far. I also requested Devin to order some cosmetic control buttons that he had indicated is on back order and may take a few weeks but he written down specifically that he will inform his receptionist who I guess also control parts and appoints to schedule him out next week as soon as the parts comes in. I contacted the receptionist on Monday Jan 7, 2013 to ask if the parts was ordered and if it had arrived yet. She claimed one of the part have arrived but it is not the motor and impeller, it was the other part that we did not need in a hurry which was the control buttons. I contacted her on Jan 8 Tuesday and she told me the motor and impeller and motor was on national back order and she have no idea when they will received the part. I told her to please confirm as Devin told us they had the motor and impeller in stock and not a problem to have it install this week and to please call the distributor and recheck. Carol the receptionist called and acknowledged her mistake and for me to give her a call. Jan 9, Wednesday I called her again and she confirmed the circulation pump and impeller was in and not the button as she have indicated. She will check with Devin as to when this part can be installed and call me back. Contacted her again at 3:30 pm to see if Devin can come out as indicated on Thursday Jan 10, Thursday and she did not answer and I left a VM. Received a call this morning from Carol and said she is trying to make an appointment to have the parts installed, I said well the parts was actually in early this week so may I have it installed tomorrow as indicated by Devin. She said no, earliest would be this Saturday Jan 12. I checked my schedule and I will not be available all day this Saturday, I asked if it is possible to Devin make us the last appointment tomorrow or Friday and she said absolutely not even when it was her mistake that caused this delay. I said if it is not for this Saturday when can she have Devin come out, she indicated not till the following Thursday Jan 17 which I thought was ridiculous as it was her mistake that delay the service. I told her to please cancelled the order and I will contact someone else to install the circulation pump motor and impeller as this type of excuses and delay is neither professional or ethical. I would not recommend All Star Appliance Repair not due to their workmanship but for their lack of commitment and professionalism. If you are not in a hurry when your appliance is broken and willing to wait, they may be the right company to work with, if you need something done quickly, I would avoid them as I guess they are way to busy and don't need your business or mine! I don't normally write negative reviews but this company got to me and I will tell everyone I know not to use this company due to their unethical behaviors. read more

Devin is a Bosch MASTER. The door to our dish washer was not locking. I called the office and spoke with Tara, she was excellent. Very efficient and super fun. It was like chatting with a good friend. Devin arrived on time, and with the part for the door. He spent about five minutes fixing the door and another 30 minutes giving us tips & tricks on our dishwasher. He showed us how to raise the legs and how to remove water stain from inside. If you own a Bosch, you need Devin on speed dial. read more

Devin Gomez just left our house. What a great guy. I called All Star Appliance this morning as well as a few other repair places. One couldn't come until Wednesday and the other was able to come tomorrow. I had left a message at All Star and I was called back within an hour or so. They could come today in 30-45 minutes. Our Kitchen Aide dishwasher was not draining. Devin diagnosed the problem immediately as a clogged drain in our dishwasher. He fixed it in short order, put everything back and encouraged us to give the machine a vinegar bath monthly. Wonderful prompt efficient service. The rest of the story: one month ago another appliance repair person "fixed" the same problem with my dishwasher by replacing the pump and cleaning the drain with a more than $300 price tag and damaged my wood kitchen floor in the process. The repair for the floor will cost $475. The upside is the company that caused the damage has paid for it. Nevertheless, I will definitely go with All Star for all future appliance work. read more

We wasted months trying to get LG to repair our dishwasher under warranty, during which time it regularly leaked over our new kitchen floor. They sent McAlister, who replaced parts, but never fixed the problem. They also sent their own technician, who claimed that it hadn't been installed correctly and told us to re-install it leaning backwards! Even when we did, they declined to do anything, as it didn't leak during their one test run, but did frequently when we used it to wash dishes. All Star took one visit to diagnose the problem - they could see it had been leaking by looking inside the door, and saw where the water had passed. This sounds obvious, but was beyond every previous technician, including LG's. The part was ordered and fitted. We've not had a leak since. They ended our LG nightmare quickly. read more

All Star helped me when I was a bad situation. I had hired another company to repair my dishwasher which took almost 2 months to complete the job (included 8 weeks to wait for a part). My experience was bad and the washer was worse than it started. All Star sent me Devon and he was amazing!! He came prepared and he did his homework. He found that my LG dishwasher had recalled part. The first company replaced the seal which wasn't the problem. Devon found the problem was the recalled part and he also found a second leak inside the door. The original quote time for my new part was 2 weeks delivery but Devon's office got the part in less than a week. And to top it off the total charge for the job by All Star was a small fraction of what I paid to the first company. I certainly have All Star in my address book permanently. read more

He was professional; when the part comes in, he will install it with no charge for the 2nd visit, but, small charge for the part. He has 12 year history in the appliance repair industry.
