John advised us of the potential hazards of installing insulation around the old live wiring in the attic, so we hired electricians to remove knob and tube throughout and tidy up the space for safety. Gus was accommodating to get us quickly back on the schedule and the insulation work was fast, quiet, free of mess and the results look great. Called for a bid on insulation for my basement. The guy reeked of smoke. I asked for 2 bid - 1…read morenormal, the other with sound insulation. I chose the sound "package" which was more expensive. Install day came. The install guys were FANTASTIC. Everything was great until I got the bill - more than 10% more than the bid amount. I called to complain - no response. Called again and I got a math worksheet on how they came to that number, but no explanation why it wasn't in the bid amount. Checked on it again, with so response. I've given this company several opportunities, and have only received finance charges. If you are looking for a solid bid, skip Specialty.
