It was this level of comfort that allowed my children to grow within their learning environment, while developing skills for the outside world. 5 stars isn't enough to exemplify what an amazing institution this is.

My son returned home from transportation with a bloody mouth. Because my child cannot reliably communicate what occurred, I calmly asked questions regarding whether an accident may have happened during transportation or student transfer. I did not accuse or blame any employee, driver, nurse, or staff member because I understand accidents can happen. What deeply disturbed me was the response afterward. I received a highly confrontational phone call from Shirley Gil, the headmaster and owner of the school. This was my very first interaction with her after my child had attended the school for an entire school year. Throughout the year, I primarily communicated with other members of administration, my son's teachers, and teacher assistants, many of whom were kind, patient, and supportive toward both my son and myself. I also interacted positively with another administrator named Shirley, who I understood to be the principal, as well as her daughter, and even offered support and advice where I could. When my son first enrolled, I donated supplies to help ensure the school was equipped to support his needs because I genuinely wanted to believe in the environment and support the staff working with special-needs children. That is why this interaction came as such an extreme shock to me. Instead of approaching the situation with professionalism, reassurance, or concern for my child's well-being, the conversation immediately became defensive and accusatory in tone. I felt intimidated simply for asking reasonable questions regarding my son's safety after he came home injured. During the conversation, concerns I raised regarding transportation communication barriers were also dismissed. The driver responsible for transporting children was unable to effectively communicate with me in English and relied on another child to help translate during pickup discussions involving my son. For a school entrusted with vulnerable special-needs students, this raised serious concerns for me regarding transportation communication and student safety procedures. More than anything, this experience has left me questioning my own instincts as a parent. I ignored prior reviews because I believe children with autism deserve grace, patience, understanding, and opportunity, and because autism support is still an area many schools are learning to navigate. I wanted to give people the benefit of the doubt. I wanted to believe my child was safe and cared for. I am sharing this experience because parents of special-needs children deserve transparency, professionalism, compassion, and the ability to advocate for their children without feeling dismissed or intimidated by school leadership. I strongly encourage families to ask detailed questions regarding transportation supervision, communication procedures, incident reporting, and administrative handling of parent concerns before enrolling.

Mrs. Rush is such a gift to the school and it's so incredible to see the confidence, expression and courage she brings out in the students. The curriculum is well-rounded and academically strong, but what makes the school special is the people. From the leadership--Miss Vigna, the Director, and Miss Caceres, the Assistant Director--to the ever-welcoming Miss Blanca Herrera at the front desk, the staff create a caring and supportive environment. The teachers are outstanding and go above and beyond with the children. We had a wonderful experience with Mrs. Hartstone and Miss Adriana in Pre-K3, followed by Miss Calderon and Miss Souza in Pre-K4. Sagemont also offers excellent specialty teachers, such as Miss Ross for music and Miss Rendon and Miss Vass for Spanish, enriching the children's education even further. For any parent seeking a safe, nurturing environment and top-quality education, Sagemont is the best place to be.

I pulled my son out after seeing several incidents involving bullying on the grounds while pulling up to the main office. Not one Academy employee was in sight each time the incidents occurred. When you call them out on it they don't hold any accountability. If you want your kids to be safe, then take them anywhere else but here!

Before I begin, PLEASE dont allow this school to lead you to believe that they "...don't have any…read morerecord of my name in their files", as this is a 100% lie. That is their generic response to ALL negative reviews. Check it out. My daughter was in the Kindergarten class of Ms. Brianna for 2 weeks. Snack time is "optional" (up to the teacher) and my daughter's class had the street sign "Galaxy Avenue" in the hallway pointing toward the classroom. So, in less than 2 weeks of my daughter being there, she had her hair pulled 3 times (by the same boy) and was intentionally kicked by a boy that was going down the slide too soon (right behind her). Now, I know these kind of things happen. Boys will be boys, right? The problem was that the teacher claimed to have seen none of this. No discipline was handed down to any of these kids after she was informed of their behavior either. My wife wrote a letter to the teacher explaining the situation (the letter has to be handed to an administrator as this is the only way that you can initiate contact with a teacher, by the way). The teacher called her over later that day to discuss it. In addition to the extreme defensiveness and bad attitude she displayed, she accused my daughter of "instigating" these situations. The same daughter that was very shy and intimidated by going to a new school AND that won a Character Education Award for best self control in her entire age group the year before! Sound like an "instigator" to you? She also made up a lie about my daughter handing another kid a pair of scissors and asked that she cut her hair (she has never had a haircut and is scared of getting one). So, we requested a sit down meeting. As we found out in short order at this meeting, there was no attempt to offer a solution to this issue as the teacher (and the 2 other administrators there) were only concerned about defending the teacher. No empathy whatsoever for the student, just "were right and you're wrong". We withdrew her after this meeting. They couldn't care less about disciplining bad behavior or admitting any kind of fault or expressing empathy toward the student. Stay away!
