The pool fill job was done fine and everyone was nice to deal with but we were left with a dirt field with no visible topsoil but many visible rocks of all sizes. This was not noticeable initially as there was a layer of seed and a green fertilizer. After following all the instructions about watering the lawn we had almost no grass at all and a lot of grab grass. The crabgrass was localized to where the clean fill and 'topsoil' were added. There were also plastic bits visible in the yard. We called and complained and send pictures of the terrible state of the lawn. They returned and only raked around some of the rocks and removed the pile of large rocks that we had already taken off the grass. And added some more seeds without adding any additional topsoil. To start out, if you're thinking of demolishing your pool and getting your backyard back again, this is the company you want. For us, it started a while ago, thinking how we can get rid of the pool and having a backyard again. Well, the wife remembered a truck that was in the neighborhood working on another job, and she remembered the name and looked up the number and called. Turns out not only were they still in business, but they came over the same day, looked at what we had, gave us an estimate and it didn't take a days time to tell them yes, let's do this. Their prices were reasonable and work ethics were excellent, so we went with this company. Hoping for the best, it turned out this was definitely the right company to go with. Not only did they let us know every single thing that they were going to do and did it on schedule, but they did such a good job, that when the city inspector came by he too said what a great job they did. Needless to say everything they said they were going to do, in the time that they were going to do it was exact. We are so pleased with the outcome and how perfect it came out. The best thing about All Pool Demolition is their response time. I reached out to over 6 pool demolition/removal companies in the spring time and they were the first to respond. Unlike some of the other companies who did not follow up with me at all...All Pool Demolition was quick to acquire more information from me and provide me with an accurate cost on getting our inground pool removed. They did the job for a reasonable and fair cost! They did a fantastic job of removing our pool and all materials. The guys onsite were always courteous and professional. They did however damage our driveway from all of the heavy equipment they needed to bring in to remove the pool and fill it with dirt. (This is mentioned in the contract about the heavy equipment) The total process did take over 2 months as it requires acquiring permits, and going through multiple steps of removing materials, filling with soil followed by seeding. All soooo worth it! Any pool demolition or removal company is super busy from spring to summer so make sure you get a head start! I spent a lot of time reaching out to them to get accurate dates on when they would be at my house. The scheduling portion is extremely difficult as sometimes you're only given a day notice before they make a trip out to your home! This might be the case for a lot of other companies who are trying to service as many customers as possible :(. This was the only issue I had with APD. As promised they returned to add additional topsoil. With the a good season of snow the ground had sunk pretty good. They returned at the start of the season as promised and leveled the ground with soil. They even reseeded which is a good plus. Before selecting All Pool Demolition I had contacted many companies regarding the job. Most were priced higher and indicated that the price may rise once the work began. Some also indicated that they would be breaking my sidewalk with the equipment that they would be using. This firm is one of the rare things today-it delivers on what it promises-Usually firms overpromise and underdeliver-not in this case! They removed my 16 x 32 pool with a careful hand and did not damage surrounding areas. The work is quite complicated but they managed it efficiently and professionally. All the workers were courteous and friendly and they did a great job in smashing up the concrete and filling in the hole and removing debris. They even cleaned up the street where their equipment had left dirt and debris. What is important is that they also remediated the site, coming back with topsoil and seed to fix the areas that were damaged, putting the fence back and getting it ready for your next stage.
