Misleading insurance coverage information - abundantly clear to me that they really only want private pay patients.

I enjoyed visiting this place with my sister. We went to the hot springs, stayed in the hotel, and…read morehad breakfast the next morning. I loved the hot springs, but I loved the hotel and breakfast somewhat less. I absolutely recommend the hot springs with no reservations. You can decide on everything else. There are a great variety of pools of varying temperature and mineral composition! We took the time to visit every single one and it was well worth it. Some are definitely prime spots and are harder to get into - I'm thinking specifically of the lowest pool closest to the marshy area by the train tracks - but there are so many options that I think you'll still be happy. My personal favorites were that lowest one I mentioned as it's very peaceful and there's great bird watching, the very top one for the view, and the bigger one in the middle with the waterfall because of the waterfall. A few other notable observations: 1. There's a cooler chlorine pool with a little water slide that is very pleasant and nice to dip into in between hot springs. 2. The restrooms/changing rooms are clearly newly remodeled and are very nice! 3. Everyone working here was wonderful. The hotel is on the older side, but it was clean. It was also wildly hot in our room as the heater had been left on (in the summer!). Thankfully there was a fan in the closet, so we turned that on and aired the place out which helped a bit. However, I still would not describe the resulting temperature as comfortable. Also.... in the kindest possible way, the showers were like upright coffins. We used the showers in the hot spring area as they were quite nice. It was good that was an option. Breakfast was hilarious. It was a pre-filled paper baggie containing: 1 bagged muffin 1 fruit cup 1 Capri Sun This is a snack for a child, not breakfast. I very much understand that Hot Sulphur Springs doesn't have a lot going on in this day and age - aside from the hot springs there appear to be a single restaurant, a single gas station, a museum, and the 2nd hotel - but this shouldn't be advertised as breakfast. If you are visiting and staying here, maybe pack some fruit or something. Overall, I highly recommend the hot springs, but if I come back I intend to make it a day trip, pack some fruit, and drive somewhere else to stay and have an actual meal. Enjoy the pools!

All of the one star reviews are probably from Californians expecting a Four Seasons spa experience…read more (I can say that as a woman married to a snooty Californian...) This place rocks. I had an awesome visit there today, complete with one of the best massages I've ever had (Jenny!), and I tried out about 8 or 9 of the 16 pools that were open. The bathroom was clean and overall fine, nothing fancy. Lots of steps to get to the various pools, so this wouldn't be a great visit for anyone with mobility impairment. A couple additional tips: --When you're using your favorite map app, make sure you get directions to the actual place (resort and spa), NOT to the town itself. Once you're in town, you'll have zero cell service. --Is the place a bit rustic and quirky? Yes, and that's part of the charm. The indoor lounge area looks like the set of Roseanne and probably hasn't been updated since the early 90's. But it's cozy and welcoming, there are snacks for sale, and a free coffee/tea bar. --good spots to hang out and relax around the property if you need a break from soaking; just a few are under cover if it's super sunny or raining/snowing. Lastly - I've been to several hot springs around the state of CO and this might be my new favorite. Well worth a visit!

Review by Desiree continued…read more.. Dear Bodyworks owner, First of all I don't appreciate you lying on here saying you had called me and left a VM apologizing, we BOTH know that is not true. I was so upset and in pain after this experience that I had to have my father call in for me to help me with this situation. I have a hard time with awkward confrontation in person (which is an issue of my own I'm working on but has nothing to do with this) he then proceeded to tell you to stay on the line and that he would be adding me to the call so I could tell you how I felt. You had hung up after calling me a "scam artist" and when we proceeded to call you back you wouldn't pick up. Yes I tipped you people for physically abusing me but only because I AM a genuine good and sweet person. It was then after I got back to my hotel, crying beside myself in SO much pain with bruises everywhere barely able to lay back on my bed. I then had time to process what had happened and realized there was NO way I was going to pay to be treated that way and be literally not only physically abused but completely exposed and extremely uncomfortable while laying naked on the massage table by your therapist. And I didn't appreciate you making me feel like I had done something wrong by not "changing in the correct spot" or "using the locker" because when I arrived you were not there to greet me and tell me where to go or what to do... you and I both know that when I first called you to book my appointment I told you I wanted a Swedish massage because I wanted to relax. Not a deep tissue which you then tried to up-sell and convince me to get. I never wanted such a deep tissue massage and you knew better. And again, I don't understand why you lied saying you called me to apologize and left a voicemail when that is absolutely and positively NOT the truth. You had hung called me a scam artist and hung up and never answered the phone back. FYI, my attorney already asked me if I wanted to sue after sharing this and my pictures of proof with him. I said no.

What truly sets Jaywalker apart is their commitment to treating not just the individual seeking recovery, but also the family and loved ones surrounding them. They understand that lasting recovery doesn't happen in isolation, it requires healing, education, and support on all sides. Another powerful aspect of Jaywalker is their alumni program. It's not just something they talk about, it's something they live. The sense of community and connection among alumni reflects what we often refer to in the recovery world as "full circle." Clients don't just complete a program. They become part of a lifelong network of support, accountability, and growth.

I'm now nearly 3.5 years clean and sober, and I have found more joy than I ever thought possible. During my time at the Lodge, I worked through years of trauma with some truly gifted counselors and therapists -- shoutout to Alice and Natalie especially. They also got me plugged into the local recovery community every day through meetings, activities, and service, which turned out to be everything. I ended up staying 8 months total, going through the Lodge, Solutions, and Sober Living programs. Each one helped me ease back into life in a real and meaningful way. I've left my old life behind entirely. I relocated permanently to the area, and the group of guys I went through treatment with are still some of my closest friends today. That's not something you plan, it just happens when people show up for each other in the hardest moments. If you're on the fence, just trust the process. I did, and I wake up every single morning excited for what the day will bring. That used to feel impossible. If it can work for me, it can work for anyone. Thank you, Jaywalker. You saved my life.

4 years ago in the aftermath of a traumatic event that left me broken and incapacitated, I…read morediscovered a uniquely special place where women can go to begin to heal from the devastating effects of trauma. 4Winds Farm. After learning more about it, I chose it over a medication centric, traditional psychiatric facility and I'm so glad I did. This was nothing short of a transformational experience for me. 4Winds takes a creative and wholistic approach to healing thus engaging the body, mind and spirit. To begin with, the setting nestled in the Colorado mountains is breathtaking. The homemade mostly organic meals are delicious and nutritious. At 4Winds I found a profoundly powerful sense of family, belonging and community that functioned as a source of love and much needed support. In addition to more conventional psychotherapy and psychiatry, 4Winds employs a variety of modalities with which to address the consequences of trauma. For example, SE (somatic experiencing) therapy, EMDR (rapid eye desensitization reprocessing), microdosing, equine therapy, ketamine infusion, psychodrama and perhaps most importantly, the accumulation of new information and ideas that serve to reshape our perceptions of ourselves, others and the world around us. No matter what methods are used, I will say that healing is a journey. It takes time and diligence. 3 years have passed since my time at 4Winds Farm. I find that I make daily use of all I learned and experienced there and I've been gifted with many fruits of my labor. As I reflect back I feel such a deep sense of gratitude for all the life lessons I integrated and that have guided and informed me and will continue to do so for the rest of my days. PS: Brigitte is a force of nature!

I never write reviews but after this experience-I had to share for anyone else that is struggling…read more 4Winds helped me save myself and aided me in healing trauma from miscarriages that I went to the facility for AND even more that I didn't realize needed to be dealt with. I arrived barely able to function due to debilitating anxiety and grief. I left with my head held high knowing I had power within me to create a beautiful new path in life. Within the first two days, the staff helped me identify patterns of my behavior that were not serving me. This is a scared place of community and healing. All of the services offered (somatic therapy, acupuncture, Chinese medicine, an emphasis on nutrition, rest and movement, brain spotting, medicinal plant therapy/journeys, energy work and more) ALL worked together to help me restore to a place where I felt like I could come back to my life and continue on the journey of being my best self. I think it's important to note that in order to get the best experience-one must be ready to take an honest look at themselves and be open to the help offered. It was not easy but anything that fosters sustainable change isn't easy. I felt that this made it more effective. The women there (both clients and practitioners) are such safe people with so much knowledge and love. They have all followed up with me since I left and have made me feel secure even from afar. The apartments were clean and beautiful. The food was the best I've ever had (they have a private chef on staff that cooks organic and local foods). I will forever cherish the time I had at 4Winds. I was referred by a trusted friend in sobriety after experiencing a lot of trauma at the end of 2023. I would recommend this facility to anyone needing help releasing trauma, grief, addiction, negative behavioral patterns, a nervous system in overdrive and even just a general reset. I can't wait to go back and visit this sacred space! Dora and Brigette (owners) are some of the most amazing people I've ever met. They speak to you on a very personal level and it never felt like I was being treated as a 'patient'. I was treated like a human being!
