I called Pat's and the person I spoke with displayed great patience with all my questions, answering each one without getting annoyed or frustrated with me (I say this because I had a LOT of questions/concerns). They offer a wide variety of lodging options from cat condos (both with and without windows, suites, etc.) and have reasonable pricing. They require proof of current rabies and FVRCP vaccinations, which helped ease my mind from a safety perspective. They also had a very detailed questionnaire, which included pet's names, description, age, etc, as well as pet's personality, likes/dislikes, what treats were okay to feed, etc. They clearly tried to get as much information about the cats to help make the cats' stay as stress-free and pleasurable as possible. I chose to bring some toys, treats, food, and fleece blankets from home, which is allowed but not required. From the moment I dropped them off, I knew my babies were in great hands. The lady who helped settled the cats in had so much patience and care when getting each one out of the carrier and into their condos. My very fearful one, especially, she took time with---no rushing them (or me) out the door. Once we got them settled in, they provided some treats and respected where each cat was (one accepted pets, one did not---my anxious one hid in the little hiding house they had in each condo. Staff accepts the cats where they are and allows the cat to determine next steps, interactions, etc. outside of the required feeding, litter box cleaning, water, etc. They also will put up "privacy screens" for especially anxious kitties, when warranted. The facility also has a catio that has a view to the outdoors, as well as an inside area with a lot of kitty enrichment, like scratching/climbing posts/trees, toys, a water fountain, etc. They specifically ask if you are okay with your cat going into those areas (for me, I was fine, but suspected one of my cats would not choose to do that. The other one did, and when I came to pick them up, was roaming freely and having a blast playing with toys and climbing things. They take the time to really get to know your pets and their personalities and then work with them individually. When I picked up my cats, my very anxious one actually allowed one of the staff members to pet her and she came out of the hidey house for both of us! That is incredible with this particular cat and I could tell staff must have been very patient and kind to her to get her to that point. They gave me updates/summaries of each cat's stay, how they ate, what they did, etc., which I appreciated. If you need to board your cats and know they will be safe and well cared for, there's no better place than Pat's! I would give them more than five stars if I could! Highly recommend!

They cleared him from the waitlist and made room for him, which we appreciated so much. Charlie absolutely loves their enclosed patio, and it's clear the staff genuinely cares about every cat they look after. When we picked him up, he even left with a parting gift--a banana filled with catnip that he's currently wrestling with at home! We're so grateful for their kindness and flexibility. Highly recommend Pats Boarding Place for Cats!

If I could give less stars I would! I had been taking my…read morepuppy to beginning training classes thru the kennel club where I live. Because she is a German Shepherd, I wanted her to be socialized and have good manners so that I could take her anywhere. I wanted to continue the training and that's when my brother read about and recommended Kaufman K-9. Sara promised all kinds of things, ie: she would be in contact everyday, she would send pictures, she would send videos, etc... Nothing! I received nothing the first couple of weeks until I left a message saying I was coming to pick up my dog. Then she texted me saying if I hadn't been blasting her with messages and phone calls, she would have responded. All of a sudden, I had a picture, and a video. Sara Kaufman-Sheehy was supposed to be training my German Shepherd puppy. She kept her an additional week saying my puppy was "too social" and needed to concentrate. When I finally got her back (and believe me, I had to threaten Sara to give my puppy back to me), she was very sick, underweight and had diarrhea. I didn't understand why she lost approximately 20 lbs when I sent bags and bags of quality puppy food with her to Kaufman K-9. My puppy hadn't learned anything except how to be aggressive. I had to separate her from my other two dogs because of her aggressiveness. It took almost 2 months to finally get her over her aggression toward my other dogs. I would NEVER recommend Sara at Kaufman K-9 to train an animal. Well, maybe she can train a rock, because at least it would learn how to "stay"...
