She doesn't just treat the pets -- she treats them like they are her own, and that kind of heart is something incredibly rare and special. Dr. Deb has such a beautiful, gentle, and reassuring way about her that immediately puts you and your pet at ease, even during the most stressful or emotional situations. You can tell this isn't just a job to her -- it is truly her passion and her calling. The level of care, patience, and kindness she shows means absolutely everything when you are trusting someone with a member of your family. She is also incredibly thoughtful when it comes to finding effective care plans that are realistic and manageable with a tighter budget, which is something I am deeply thankful for. The entire team at the clinic reflects the same compassion and dedication that Dr. Deb shows every day. The techs are incredibly kind, gentle, and knowledgeable, and the other veterinarians I have worked with have been just as caring and thorough. It speaks volumes about the culture and standard of care Dr. Deb has built within her clinic. Every interaction feels genuine, supportive, and comforting. Finding a veterinary clinic where you feel completely safe, heard, and supported is priceless, and that is exactly what Dr. Deb and her team provide. I am endlessly thankful for the love and care they have shown, and I would recommend them to absolutely anyone who wants their pets treated with the same love and dedication that I have received.

Vets deserve to be paid well, no doubt. We paid $600 for a "kitten package" which included two…read morevisits, testing for fiv and feline leukemia, a fecal test, and the preliminary shots that kittens need in their first year. Definitely not the lowest price, but they were able to see the abandoned and starving kitten we found the same day, so we went with it. It takes a long time to become a vet, and I am happy to pay for good care when it makes sense. A few days after her shots, the kitten developed diarrhea. No follow ups were included with the kitten package, but we brought her in anyway only to be told after three minutes she was "fine" because her last potty was a little more solid. They charged another hundred bucks for that very brief visit. Okay, fine. The diarrhea persisted and so we went back AGAIN and were given prescription food. Okay, great. Every visit I expressed concern about ringworm, as she had little scabs and they fluoresced under a Wood's Lamp. (I used to work as a vet tech years ago and the Wood's Lamp is a perfectly reasonable metric to use when testing for fungus. It can give a false negative but not a false positive.) They kept telling us it wasn't ringworm because the kitten wasn't missing hair, but offered us a very expensive testing package if we wanted reassurance. We declined, and just treated topically at home, but a few days later, I had a clear ringworm rash on my arm and my chest. I called to tell them my own human doctor prescribed me meds for ringworm using only a picture I sent. They still would not prescribe oral medication to treat the kitten's ringworm unless we paid for a $500 "culture" to confirm it was ringworm. The craziest part was they were willing to start her on meds immediately, but still required the test which would take two weeks to get back. So it's not as if they wanted to confirm *before* medicating for some medical reason. I am sure they rationalize in some way or another, although they didn't explain, and I get that everyone has different "policies." However, attempting to rationalize something as "policy", whether it is rational or not, is how an extortionist operates. I called a few other vets and they all thought requiring the test in order to treat was bonkers given the circumstances and evidence. We subsequently left Animal Care Clinic and have been thrilled with Spring Hill Vet Clinic this week. They used logic and common sense as opposed to blindly following "policy", and prescribed the kitten an oral antifungal after using a wood's lamp on her and examining the rash on my arm, all for the price of an office visit that was almost half of what this place would have charged just to walk in the door. If you want to be charged excessively just for the sake of it, then by all means come here, but I believe the vet you take your precious pets to should prioritize a balance between good care and being mindful of the costs of that care. You will most definitely not get that here, and I have since learned that I know several people who have had the same experience here. The good news is, we have choices! Coming here would be a bad choice unless you like being extorted. You can (and should) do much better.
