This company is super duper SKETCHY. We had to get the Sheriff involved. Read on. They quoted a…read morelittle over $5k for a boat lift repair and tried to slide a bill into our inbox for over $21k with not even a conversation about the massive price change. They apparently they installed some parts, but forgot to have the "this will cost 3 times as much" conversation with the customer. Then they tried to horse trade and bargain. Then there were charges for things on that invoice they did not render-- solar panels and other parts. In the end we paid them what they originally quoted + sales tax which was fair. They cashed the check and didn't hear from them. Until 5 months later a sketchy Dock Company van BACKS DOWN our driveway, two men get out and start monkeying around with our boat lift. We called the Sherriff who trespassed them from the property and said they were probably trying to repo parts off the dock. The owner did not call us back to let us know what her men were doing. She tried to explain WHY a "work order" was made for our property, and we said NO NO NO you're not rehashing this 5 months later, lady. You have 15 minutes to tell us who those guys are and what they were doing trespassing on our property with no heads up. I would stay far away from Dock Company. I just talked to a guy across the lake who said he got a surprise $10k bill after final invoices were paid work had been completed. They tried to horse trade with him too. Maybe this is just a tactic? Send 206-ers a bill for big bucks, see if they pay? It's just too much of a coincidence that I met somebody else recently with such a similar situation.

The MVM guys drove out...48 miles...to my house. The 2 guys came up to my house, inspected the electronics and the under the house pipes and pressure tanks. We went into the house and they said "we can fix it today, we just need access to the well...you need to get a snow plow out to plow up to the well". OK! I'm thinking. I get the snow plowed organized. At that point the 2 guys went, for the FIRST time, to LOOK at the well location. I joined them at which point they immediately said "no, we cannot fix the well problem...it needs excavating to look at the pipes." I canceled the snow plow, Had to pay him $124.00. My issue IS why did you not look at the well in the 1st place? That would have taken 10-15 minutes to diagnose the problem. I got a bill for $700.00 from this company for travel, labor and no repair. Out a total of $824.00 for no repairs. All of which could have been a 10-20 minute decision in the first place. Talked to the owner who was very nasty on the phone with me. Don't waste your money.

We had heard that Clementson Const. was great to work with, but we didn't understand just HOW great until we had our first meeting with them. They won our business not just because of their competitive estimate, but because they were very direct and professional, while remaining friendly and easy to speak with-- addressing any concerns or questions with trustworthy and honest responses. Throughout our experience with them, they continued to WOW us with their attention to all the little details, their honesty and the fact that we could always trust them to treat us like we were their main priority, no matter how busy they were. We've had experience with builders in the past who constantly try and take shortcuts, or tell you things you want to hear just to get you off their back...they are only concerned about what THEY are getting out of the transaction. This was not the case with Clementson Const., who would continuously go out of their way to provide open communication, and even take care to really get to know us as people and not just customers. If a problem arose, or we were feeling unsure of anything, they immediately took the time to address our concerns while REALLY listening to what we had to say and then immediately addressing the problem, not just trying to pacify us, but to ensure that we were actually happy and comfortable with what we were spending our hard-earned money on! One instance in particular was especially memorable, when a mistake was made that was OUR fault, but they had the integrity to change it at no additional charge to us, all with a smile on their faces. The fact that they are family owned and operated was also something that we really valued. They were always there to help us with every step along the way, and continuously proved to be knowledgeable in all aspects of the home-building process, from start to finish and down to every little detail. Our home turned out so beautiful, and the entire process was just as wonderful. In a world with so many options for builders, Clementson Construction proved that they are truly all about pleasing their customers and buiding a relationship as well as a house. We walked away with the feeling that they are doing this because they truly love it, not just to make a buck. Saying that I would recommend them to anyone is an understatement!
