A bit off of I-77 but worth the trip…read more This place is about a mile west of I-77 on NC 150 aka River Hwy. Relatively new and very clean. When you get off of I-77, pay attention to the price of gas. It's starts dropping off pretty quickly until you get to Quik Trip. Today it was 10 cents per gallon less expensive for the Premium I have to use. Have only gone inside for food one time because there are so many restaurant around but one day I did grab a quick sausage in a bun and it was good unlike most of the ones you find where they have been on the heaters for hours. Food was good if that's what you want but again, a lot more variety outside. Only used the restrooms once and they were very clean, trashcans were empty and no extraneous odors. If you're willing to drive that extra mile, you can save a bit of money although at rush hour, River Hwy can be clogged and slow.

It's a typical self serve gas station with a convivence store as well. Being just off of I-77 on NC 150 (River Hwy) it tends to be a couple of cents more expensive that other stations a short distance away. Still if you're sticking with Shell, it's one of your few options. No need to go into the store unless you need a receipt and the pump does not give it to you. Ended up being the case. All in all, a very neutral experiece

Inside is the usual assortment of the usual things in the usual manner with plenty of room to put in a couple tables to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and some fresh baked goods or sammiches if they ever decide to upgrade the place. This is a smaller store but it still works and the price is right so I continue to stop in to fill up when I'm in the area. Easy in from Brawley School or Charlotte Hwy and the traffic light makes getting back out a pretty straightforward task. BTW: The speed limit is 45 MPH on either road so pull out like you mean it on green. Outside there are six islands with two pumps on each so plenty of opportunities to fill your tank(s) with a minimum of waiting. Off to the side is a car washer that seem to do an acceptable job of removing the filth and shining up your car's finish and a vacuum for the mess inside.
