In looking for somewhere to throw a small and low-key bachelorette party for my aunt, I stumbled…read moreacross this place. I thought the idea of a perfume-making party was so incredibly cool, and I was especially surprised and impressed that there was somewhere like this in Scranton! We got a good deal on a Groupon. Heads up- if you go this route, you'll want to make sure that you actually have the app installed on your phone and don't just print out the tickets. The space is so lovely and grand. The shop has shelves full of designer perfumes and homemade candles, as well as high-end gifts from boutique artisans. The perfume bar is set up at the front. When we arrived, our table was already set up with handouts and bottles of scented oils. Our guide did talk a little fast, but the concept itself is easy enough to understand. You build a blend of base notes, middle notes, and top notes. Each vial of scents is clearly marked with what kind of note it is and what scent family. You build your perfume by dipping a paper blotter into the vials, and then stacking the papers into a holder and wafting the scents. The staff was so helpful in making suggestions. It was so incredibly cool to mix and match scents and note how the perfume changes buy switching out elements. For the experience you get up to two hours to build your blend, but I think we were done in about an hour from start to finish, including when the staff finished blending the perfume behind the bar. While you wait for your perfume to get completed you can browse the shop- there's plenty to catch your eye! One of the coolest parts of this class is that the store will record your special blend in their system so if you want to reorder it in the future you can! I may eventually take advantage of that perk because I really love my blend and have been wearing it ever since! They offer shipping too so you can reorder even if you're far away. I'd definitely recommend this class if you find yourself in the area! It's such a neat and unique experience. You get to learn about perfume, have a fun experience, make a one-of-a-kind signature scent, plus you get to take a fancy perfume home with you! Definitely worth checking out. And, even if you don't have time for the full experience, this shop is so gorgeous that I highly recommend popping in and getting a gift or two!

I unfortunately had a negative experience after pulling into this store's parking lot due to…read moreunexpected car trouble. My check engine light came on while driving, so I safely pulled into this mostly empty lot to assess the situation. I contacted AAA for guidance, and while waiting for instructions, I began checking my tire pressure as advised. Shortly after, I was approached by a man I believe to be the owner. I explained that I was dealing with a possible vehicle issue and was currently on the phone with AAA to determine whether it was safe to continue driving. Despite this, I was told--firmly and without concern for the situation--that I needed to move my vehicle immediately. I tried to explain that I was actively trying to assess whether the car was safe to drive, but I was still pressed to leave. The interaction escalated, and I was told I was "entitled" and taking up space during their "busy season," even though I was the only car in a group of ten spots and a largely empty parking lot. At one point, I was told to either hand over my keys or pay $20, which was very surprising in the context of the situation. Once AAA confirmed it was safe to move the vehicle, I left the lot and went to a nearby public area to wait for further assistance. I understand that private parking lots are intended for customers, and I respect that policy. However, I was disappointed by the lack of understanding given the circumstances and the tone of the interaction during what was a stressful and uncertain situation.

He bought a used Lionel transformer and an HO Doodlebug Trolley labeled as DNW (Does Not Work). As it turns out the gears had old grease on it that I was able to clean up. She's extremely knowledgeable about the items she sells, especially the rocks, crystals, and artwork. The store is full of rare and interesting objects; things you will not find anywhere else. Aticha is also an artist herself, and I enjoy looking at her creations. If you need gifts for the holidays, this is the place to go. Everything is very reasonably priced, so if you have many different types of people to buy for, you're sure to be successful here. There is always a unique discovery and a fun time to be had at Aticha By Design.

Boooo! These guys also sell their stuff on eBay…read more They had a make offer button on one of their listings. We made an offer. They let it expire with no response. So we bought said item paying for it immediately. Almost a week goes by with no response or shipment notification... our money gone and tied up. Then order gets canceled by them with zero apology. Listing had two for sale and remained so we thought maybe they only had one. So my wife made an offer on that one. Zero response again to her offer. So we went ahead and bought the second item and experienced another canceled order. If you are going to sell things on eBay, you need to be available. You would not enjoy if somebody agreed to buy an item you were selling and ended your listing and then took their sweet time to pay you and then did not respond to any of your inquiries. So here's a 1 star since I was unable to inform anyone of how we were treated by you guys on eBay. If how they run their retail store is anything like their eBay account, I would choose another place to do business.

We returned as a group of 4 with masks on to find that she was speaking with a friend both maskless, so i was confused as to why we we're denied entry before if she wasn't even going to follow her own policy?? I could see that they were giving our group dirty looks the entire time, with her friend giving us the condescending up and down look, so tactless and rude. We are patrons, would have purchased items here had it not been for your horrible and unwelcoming attitude. Maybe useful to note that our group was POC & LGBTQ+ so felt like discrimination.
