He said they usually charge $550/hour on average no matter if it's drive time to get to your house or actual work in the house and I should be happy with the $1725 for 4-1/2 hours of work. He also inflated the time by saying they tacked on 1-1/2 hours of drive time (I live in north Fort Worth). If you think $550/hour is fair, then go ahead. They also will not honor their comment below and fix the drywall. UPDATE: Downgrading my 2 star review to 1 star. It's been roughly 6 weeks, and I have not heard back from anyone at your company on how to make this situation right. I called in about a week ago and whoever I talked to had no knowledge of any follow up or internal investigation on this as you had mentioned and I had to explain the whole situation from the start. They were not helpful and will not return my emails. They said that they would not repair the drywall - you said they would in your response below. ORIGINAL POST: We had Garrett come out yesterday for a breaker that kept tripping for the circuit running our living room/master bedroom/master bathroom. He ran a diagnostic and got an error code. I was told it would be $1,075 to identify the issue, repair it, and parts/labor to fix it would be "rolled into" the $1,075 charge. After paying the $1,075 they identified the issue and Garret's manager said it was not covered under the $1,075 initial charge, that Garrett told me incorrectly, and it would be another $650 on top of that for a total of $1725. They fixed what needed to be fixed, but now I am left with a drywall repair and a $1725 bill for about 4-1/2 hours of work. Can't help but feel like I got taken advantage of and next time I will call a different electrician with an hourly rate. Everything I'm seeing, Mister Sparky was 3-4x more expensive than the normal hourly rate. There was also a fire alarm and 1 light switch that was left disassembled that I will have to have them come back to reassemble.

Wish we would have communicated better upfront and their boss didn't try and demean me because I didn't want to pay them $130 for swinging by/ not repairing anything. Edit: Called my phone to tell me I was a cockroach and a bitch. Asked for me to change my review to a 1 star as he can call Yelp and get it removed anyway....can't make this up.

I was suspect initially as the designated time drew near and with my lack of patience, I reached out to his wife Sylvia. She is the one that scheduled the appointment. She assured me that he would be coming and he did. Not knowing what to expect he took out his equipment and proceeded to unclog her drain. He worked for over an hour and a half. Crawling under the house, checking the other toilets and searching for a clean out. Do you know he couldn't resolve the issue right away and said "no charge" I was shocked and insisted that he bill me for something. I spoke back with Sylvia again and she honestly treated me like a close friend. He advised me on something I should do in the meantime and believe me. I'll be calling them back. Awesome work ethics.

The electricians call before knocking on the door, which is also nice. They typically work very quietly and quickly. I've never been disappointed. I'm a big fan of this company. My only suggestion might be to add the extra touch of cleaning up around where they worked. Lots of other home services do that, and it really is a nice touch. But that's a minor point. I'll continue to use this company for all my electrical needs.
