Made the mistake of paying for it up front. Started on wednesday April 8. did some work the next day and was told they couldn't finish that day, but Friday had an open schedule to finish. Never showed on Friday as I sat around waiting. When I contacted them, they blamed it on the weather. I'm now eating the $1000 I gave them and having someone else finish the job. Their reply was that I didn't have to pay the full amount, only a deposit. No mention of a refund at all for an unfinished job.

He provided a pre bid before he arrived based on our square footage which was nice to know the ballpark price. He finalized the bid after the walk through with our agreed upon repairs and paint choice. His pricing is very reasonable and includes repairs and prep work that others may charge more for. He was very easy to work with and went above and beyond what would be expected, he noticed we had not put out our recycle bin one morning and called to ask if we wanted it out, while painting behind the dryer he noticed it needed a newer vent hose and got and installed it, he noticed the motion detector battery was low charge and picked up a new one. His prep work is meticulous and he is very particular about his work, (particular is how he describes his standards). He cleaned up ceiling bumps and sloppy work left by previous painters. All this and he was 20% lower than other bids. We will definitely be asking Rick to paint for us in the future.

There were some areas which required innovative ideas to resolve and he offered several creative solutions which worked out very well. I asked him to do some additional work such as hanging a curtain and suspending a picture from the ceiling and painting several additional rooms and he, without any hesitation, agreed to do the work. He is very careful and a perfectionist in his work and at the same time worked very fast. He always cleaned up any mess after a day's work so that the area was very clean. His cost for the work done was very reasonable. I love my new basement; it is absolutely transformed due to his work. I highly recommend his work for any renovation. Sincerely, Meghabhuti Roth, M.D.

We had some outdoor fascia trim that had rotted in some places, and had peeling paint in others. The parts on the second floor were notably harder to get to. We ran into a busy time for First Choice Handyman, so it took a few weeks to get on their schedule. However, it was definitely worth waiting for. Presly and Darius arrived when scheduled, cut out the trim portions that needed replacement and replaced them, painted these new pieces and any sections needing some additional painting, and finished in less time than originally estimated. So, the final price ended a little less than quoted! Kelsey started handling scheduling and communications more recently, and her responsiveness has been fantastic. We recently had them out to do a multitude of smaller repairs, and they were quick, thorough, and efficient. Definitely a winner!

However I have to admit that the final results (including prep time and cleanup) are far better and considerably more meticulous than anything we could have done. I had a need for both exterior (+lead abatement) and interior work. While supply chain shortage of matching paint colors stretched out the overall project, AtheH (Randy in particular) kept me regularly informed and made sure that I didn't fall through the cracks during the prolonged process. In the end I am happy with the interior work. The exterior appears greatly improved as well. Alas, both required repeat visits but all was done at no extra cost and throughout reps were gracious and professional. As icing on the cake, my final fees were lower than the amount owed on the original invoice. I do remain a bit unclear as to exactly what the exterior lead removal (adhering to rigorous protocols) really did (other than add considerably to the price). Cost aside (and when I blanched I may well have been living in the past) all things considered I'm happy and satisfied. Oh what the heck, five stars it is.To my eyes Admire the Hue did great work. It's often been said: "You get what you pay for." In my experience a high price is no guarantee of high quality. However high quality almost always carries a higher price tag. When it comes down to brass tacks, I'm grateful that I chose AtheH.

There are so many talented people out there that do kitchen remodeling, choosing one firm to turn your dream into reality can be overwhelming. After researching the Better Business Bureau, Angie's List and Houzz; we knew we could narrow the field considerably. Having been a Realtor and sold luxury real estate in Seattle, Palm Springs and San Diego, I knew the value in hiring a talented construction firm before making a single purchase. I have seen too many horrible remodels, or ones that came close but miss the mark. I have also experienced enough stellar designs, ones that make you fall in love with the home, and kitchens and baths that stand out, but still speak to and respect the character of the house they "live" in. All of these homes have two things in common, great design and a great construction firm. Northrup Remodeling is just such a firm. Our decision to hire Northrup Remodeling to build our new kitchen put us on the right path for a successful project. We interviewed several construction firms, but Northrup's experience, knowledge, and ability to translate our ideas into real life made them the clear choice. Mark the owner, and Bob our project manager, listened, took notes, and explained their process. Our kitchen project had several challenges and they masterfully crafted lasting solutions to fit the character of our 1924 home. Our kitchen is now magazine cover beautiful, but above all else is now a pleasure to cook in. We unequivocally recommend Northrup Remodeling for a kitchen, bath or any construction project.
