All new dogs are asked to come in for an evaluation. A human will spend a few minutes to evaluate your pup (you too possibly). AFTER the eval, you are free to qualify & clarify. Try not to embarrass your child in front of the teacher though. If all parties are amenable, the pupperoni is escorted to the play park to meet the other kids--where the big dogs play here & the smaller dogs play there. The furry one may play or just acquaint themselves with gen pup. Did I mention grooming? Logic & common sense -- so refreshing. If requested, takes place closer to pick up. Otherwise busy puppies need time to recharge and unwind - the lights are dimmed and they are chasing bunnies HoundsTown CLW & all the humans keeping an eye on your fur babies are truly passionate about their calling. Warm & kind extends beyond arrivals & departures. Some humans (perhaps all) are trainers so--you're welcome mom & dad. We needed boarding for our 8 year old English Bull Terrier, Claire. We were going away for 6 days…read moreand we had only ever left her somewhere overnight. I visited and assessed 6 other facilities before deciding on The Wagging Club. Here were some of the deciding factors. We opted for the luxury accommodation which gave her a large room with a tv so she could have dog tv on while in her suite. We turn this on at home while we go out. We love the calm and soothing music. The staff is always great. Courteous. Friendly. Very accommodating. One of the final deciding factors was the daycare. She was in daycare from 7:00 am until around 5:30/6:00. While they don't offer daycare as a service on Sundays, all the dogs in boarding went to daycare. It was comforting to me knowing she'd be too tired at night to miss us much. Every other place I toured didn't offer the all day daycare and the one other place I found that did, didn't offer it on Sunday. Most places had playtime blocks for the dogs. The Wagging Club has two play areas, separating big dogs and little dogs. Claire weighs 49 lbs, falling in the middle so we opted for the small dog room, but she would do fine in the big dog room as well. On Sunday, all the dogs go to the larger big dog play area and she did just fine. Another feature we loved was the outdoor play area. It was a large area surrounded by a high white wooden fence. I mention the white because it really brightened the area up as opposed to the dinginess of some of the other places that I visited. They offered a splash pad that was brightly painted with a huge flower, along with a bone shaped splash pool. Climbing apparatus is everywhere from the daycare rooms to the outdoor area. What I really loved also were the misters along the entire outdoor play area. We boarded her in the middle of August and the misters around the outdoor play area meant they considered how hot it is in summer. Another deciding factor was the cleanliness. This facility was a bit far from us but compared to some of the places I toured, it was immaculate. I remember feeling like I would be putting her into a shelter when I toured a few of the other places. It was traumatic for me enough, leaving her for 6 days. I was an annoying helicopter mom and they were lovely. They have cameras in the outdoor area and the playrooms. The boarding facility where she slept was in a completely separate building which I appreciate because it's away from the noise of the daycare for feeding and nap purposes. They generally close around 5:00 on Sundays. Our plane landed at 4:20. We had parked at the airport and they were able to accommodate us by staying a bit longer and we were able to collect her by 5:20. When we did collect her, she had been bathed and smelled wonderful. They offer all kinds of other services including a large indoor swimming pool. Excellent therapy for dogs who can benefit from physical therapy or just exercise. Grooming services and extra packages are also available. Things like outdoor walks. Cuddle time. Treats before bed. We took advantage of the 20% discount for new customers and they offered a military discount on top of that! They also sent us daily postcards. A photo with a cute note. In summary: I loved the cleanliness, great service, friendliness and the overall facility itself. It felt less like a shelter than any other place I toured. Some of the places were downright scary to me, even though my husband found them adequate. It was the best choice for me and that's all that mattered. It was about my trauma of leaving her, knowing about her anxiety and this place was able to allay all my concerns and fears. Claire has anxiety in new surroundings, even when we take her with us. I felt comfortable leaving her knowing she would be in good hands. We will definitely continue to use and recommend The Wagging Club. On busy days when we have errands to run or appointments, we will definitely consider leaving her at daycare.

On March 16th, 2024 we sent our 8 month old dog, Luca to be trained by Cheyenne Two-Axe at her…read morefacility, Canine Behavioral Training in South Elgin. We gave her $3,860 for a 28 day program. From the beginning she knew we were going to be in Florida visiting family for 7 days during the time he was in Cheyenne's care. We gave her a collar with an airtag (she even commented on how it was a good idea). She assured us everything would be fine. We received videos of training every couple of days. On Monday, March 16th 2024 I received a phone call from Cheyenne who was frantic and said that she had lost our dog Luca. She said she went to go get water and left him outside in her fenced yard for no more than five minutes. He was not wearing the collar with the airtag we provided. I asked why and she stated because he was in a crate and they don't have them wear collars in the crate due to safety concerns. I understand and agree with the safety aspect, but every dog expert I talked to said he should have had his collar on the moment he was out of the crate. After looking at the training videos she sent me again Luca was not wearing his collar in any of them. At this point, she said she was unsure of how he got out but would inform me of what was going on. She later stated that one of the latches of the gate was flipped up and that's how she thinks he got out. I asked if she had cameras and she stated she did not. She posted on local Facebook groups and so did I. I was still in Florida at this time and reached out to Illinois Lost Dogs who assisted me in putting together a flyer which I sent to Cheyenne. I also had some family out looking for him and sending flyers. Throughout this search it was very clear that Cheyenne was not sure of what to do. I was communicating with ILD and they were providing guidance which I then communicated to Cheyenne. I was basically running dispatch from Florida. I did not sleep for the next 8 days. I would message Cheyenne every morning and normally it took about an hour to get back which she stated she had to take care of other dogs at her facility and then would flyer and do what was needed. She did send several texts that she couldn't express how sorry she was and she would find Luca and "do right by us". I never wrote anything negative about her or her facility until now. I had my brother looking in the area (which he missed time from work in order to do so), I had a family friend volunteer her time with a scent tracking dog, and was constantly on socail media tracking sighting. We had a few sightings here and there. Cheyenne did find a drone operator whom she paid the first time. On Wednesday Cheyenne texted me that she was still willing to help, but that she had spent over 1k to search for him and couldn't financially do anymore. My family and I had spent over 2k at this point ourselves (plus the cost of the training), but I said I understood. Through talking with different organizations they said that it did not seem that Cheyenne was equipped to handle the situation and that I needed to take over the search. We cut our vacation short (not that we were able to enjoy it anyways) and spent $1,500 to get a last minute flight to go home. Once we arrived home Cheyenne let me know that she would help as she could, but would be deferring to me to lead the search. We came home early Thursday morning and were basically out all day every day until he was found Monday. When we arrived at the facility on Thursday, Cheyenne was out getting lunch and left Luca's stuff on a table outside of the door of the facility. Upon inspection, we found there was a hole at the back of the fence (picture below). I will be honest, I did not disclose this to her until later because I did not want it to affect us finding Luca. I bought flyers, 4 drone flights, multiple cameras, and supplies. Cheyenne did say she would help as she could, but something happened with the tire on her car.There were days during our search where I did not hear from her until I messaged her. Thankfully we were able to find Luca. Including the training, flight home, and various expenses we were out over 10k. When we first discussed repayment, she disclosed that her insurance lapsed because she didn't get a notice from her insurance company, in my opinion that's the responsibility of the business owner. She was able to somehow get it reinstated, but had no clue regarding her coverage or how it worked. She also was shocked when I said there was a hole in the fence. She still feels that he got out by lifting the latch but agreed that it was not suitable for a training facility and was in the process of replacing it. We ended up receiving a little over $4,800 for our expenses but was told her business was likely closing as a result. She has refused to do anymore. EDIT: Cheyenne is blatantly lying that we asked for 10k in pain and suffering so I have included an email where I actually said I was willing to take less than our expenses.

Due to my job I have to work 12 hours a day and can't leave him home. They are so understanding and accommodating where I can drop him off early before opening and pick him up right after closing. The staff is wonderful, I see the live feed and they play with all the dogs hug them, give them pets and attention. They give my pup breaks when he needs them. They know what the dogs need and so intuitive. The place is clean and never smells like animals. On the live feed you see the employees clean up right away when the dog pees or poops. The staff is so friendly and look like they're happy working there. They truly care about the dogs and owners well being. I wouldn't trade them for the world. Amazing job. Oh and by the way they have a splash pad for the doggies who love water!! They have big dog and small dog play areas. Each have an inside and an outside and the dogs can come and go in and out when they want. The prices are super reasonable and great value packages. I can't recommend them enough. Anyone working super early or super late and need a daycare or boarding this is the place. A lot of my coworkers bring their pets here.

There have been numerous incidents of abuse and lack of oversight, a dog died from heat exposure, a dog being degloved, several others attacked because of lack of adequate supervision and the owner is profit oriented. My own pet suffered a bite last August which resulted in a greenstick fracture and open wounds at 7 months old. They refused to file a report OR give me information about the dog who bit him. Unfortunately I made the mistake to board him in October. This time he was take to Blue Pearl Hospital after outdoor "enrichment" with a neurological issue. Their enrichment is ABUSE! After referral to a neuro and finally an MRI he has been diagnosed with spinal fluid impinging his spinal cord over several vertebra. He is impacted for life. This woman/owner should be charged for animal cruelty not her staff. Please Please Please DO NOT let them harm your baby.
