From our first call with Lia, through Kenneth's careful site visit, to the final installation, every step felt handled with real expertise and genuine care. These guys are total pros! They accommodated our extremely tight timeline without hesitation and communicated clearly at every stage. The finished result is a 700-square foot, beautifully taut, properly engineered, and completely different set up from what we had before. Total game changer! (And we are ready for the wind!) We could not be happier and will be recommending Gianola to anyone who needs shade sail or awning work done right. Rock stars!

Quite simply, they exemplify excellence at every level. We too asked for a new canvas awning fabrication for a south facing upstairs window to cut down on the summer direct sun and the resulting heat transfer through the glass. The installers just left a few hours ago, so I haven't experienced any 90 degree + days, but I'm confident the design will accomplish my goals. Gianola was communicative, responsive and comitted...exactly what I want in an artisan trade contractor. Five stars all the way.

Sonoma County Sunrooms sold me an expensive electric retractable awning. During a recent power…read moreoutage it became clear that the awning cannot be retracted manually because of the positioning of the awning. (there is a pole provided to wind in the awning in case of an outage, but the installer did not leave access room for use of the pole.) As a result, when the power goes out in high wind, the awning, motor and mount can be ripped off the house potentially causing significant damage. The company refuses to redress their botched installation, says there is nothing they can do about it, and offered only to come take a look if I'll pay for a service visit. Caveat emptor. Do business with Sonoma County Sunrooms at your risk.

I reached out to Wen Han instead, and he came out the exact same day I asked for a quote. Their pricing was super reasonable, and they matched our original color perfectly. The whole thing was done in just two weeks. It's been a year now and the awning is holding up wonderfully and looks exactly the same as the day we got it. Would recommend them to everyone!

The quality Customer experience was outstanding on every level. The proactive interaction at every juncture from initial inquiry through installation was on a level rarely experienced these days. As with other reviews, the client-first philosophy truly guides all interactions which are timely, articulate, and professional. Melody tracked down my fabric choice -- which had been discontinued -- in a couple hours through another supplier. Her communications were so clear and constant, in the best of ways. Her coaching on how to "dress" my new drapes and her vast expertise shared on light, glare, period design, and aesthetics taught me so much more than I'd expected. And let me just say a word about the QUALITY of the product -- beyond my hopes, reasonably priced and true to Melody's word. Oh my goodness!! I look forward to working with Melody and The Company again on future drapery purchases!!!

I described exactly what we needed in my inquiry and request for quote. A simple job to replace three sun shades with blackout shades on an existing motorized system. I sent pictures of what we have and what we need. Knowing all of this, the company set up a time for a consultation. A day before the scheduled consultation they tell me it's going to take 2+ hours, and that I should reschedule if I don't enough time tomorrow. I let them know that doesn't seem proportionate to the the job requested, that I'm watching a toddler full-time and I was expecting a 10-15 minute meeting to do measurements and confirm they can work with our system. They say ok. The next morning, two hours before the consultation, Melody the designer insists again on a 2+ hour meeting. I reiterate the same thing I said yesterday and she cancels the meeting.
