This company is trash!!!! I took off today Wednesday, October 23, 2024, to have someone come out and fix my dryer. We called them on Saturday. They told us to call the morning of to confirm which we did. We called them two other times and the lady answering the phone is just rude. She has no clue what she's doing and her customer service is terrible. The tech showed up to say we need a motor and he needed to leave because he has another job. I lost a day of work for nothing and he had the nerves to leave me with a bill. When I spoke to the tech, he told me, he told the office we need a motor this morning but he came with nothing. I urge EVERYONE not to use this company. Everyone I encountered has a horrible personality. Close this business down! read more

I'm from North Jersey, but I've been living on the west coast for a while. From time to time I have to help my mother get things fixed around the house and being so far away can make that difficult. I've had some really bad experiences in the past with other service companies. So happy I found these guys. Our refrigerator has been having problems for while now. They seem to have been able to fix what two other companies couldn't. More recently our dryer went and they were able to come out and take of it asap. Mary is great! They're also animal people. all my appliances seemed to have had issues recently and my husband fixed most of them. Then my freezer broke and not only did i get told no one does residential work but the one person i found told me after i supplied the part it would be $1400 to install. Unbelievable. Thought we would try one more thing ourselves and called several places for the part we needed. most of them were not helpful or didn't have the part in stock or gave us a ridiculous price and told us it had to be ordered. By luck, we called All Bergen appliance. They were extremely helpful, went out of their way and provided the part at an incredibly reasonable price. NO STARS !!! A week before Christmas my Dryer stops working ! All Bergen comes out & tells me I need a new motor & blower.They will order parts. Parts get ordered & replaced $500 + service fee & tax. OK ! Dryet does not seem the same , bout drying well & it's starting to squeak. Had a major family event & could not call to have someone come out. I call early Feb. MARY says ok I'll call you back. No call back -so I call again ! She tells me to clean out the vents ! I say I do not think it's vent issue ! Ok she sets up a time for tech to come in ( I ask , will I be charged ? NO I'm told ). Set it up for following Tuesday - it snows & MARY tells me they are behind , I graciously say ok , no prob let's do tomorrow ( Wednesday) - ok ! Hang up MARY texts - sorry tomorrow tech is not in ! Call Thursday - Thursday doesn't work I reply! Well Thursday I get a call tech is at my house - I call home ask for my mothers card over to let him in. He leaves me a receipt which says vents need to be cleaned out / if not it's the heat coils & some other part. No pricing Just the note. Meanwhile no one calls me again. I call Friday 8 say im inquiring as to what is going on as far as my dryer repair ! I'm not sure who the woman was, but she says that the Tech wasn't in yet. She didn't follow up on yesterday's events but once she sees him, she will call me back to let me know.. needless to say no callback was made. I left a message on Saturday. No return call. Monday I got sidetracked. And so I called back on Tuesday morning ( Today). Mary answered this time. And she said the same thing she would look into it call me back and let me know. She called me back not to discuss the details of the repair but to let me know that the Tech was going to be on his way in 10 minutes.. I was not home. I did not expect him to be on his way but again I called Home and let my mom's caregiver. Let him in to do whatever was going to be done. In the interim, Mary called me back to ask me if the dryer vent was cleaned out again. I said it was cleaned. That is not the issue. She said he's on his way. My brother was also here and said that the Tech seemed visibly annoyed that he had to do the job. I got a half an hour later he seem to be wrapping up the job. Maybe 20 minutes later he had to me a bill for $185. he told me that Mary was giving me a break. I said I wasn't aware that I was going to be charged. I tried several times to reach out to people over the past week and no one ever returned my call and when they did, they only told me you were coming to do repairs. He said well what did you think. These repairs had nothing to do with the repairs in December. I phoned Mary I said I was very upset. No one ever communicated to me that I would be charged. I just had my dryer repaired in December the end of December before . It was over $500 almost $600. I could've bought a new dryer now you're telling me less than two months later. other parts, which have nothing to do with the parts that were fixed in December? She got some major attitude with me and says she doesn't know what I'm talking about. She said you know what you don't have to worry about it cause you're not gonna pay and she slams the phone down on me.. completely unprofessional. I've only lived in this area for about 20 years and I used all Bergen many times over the years. I'm very disappointed in there recent decline and customer service. I've owned the business for over 15 years and never once have I hung up on anyone. It was unwarranted and unnecessary. As somebody pointed out, there are plenty of businesses in the area that repair appliances. Sad how businesses just don't seem to care anymore. read more

Do not use this appliance repair service. I have a Zephyr Over Cooktop Hood that wasn't working (no exhaust & light) and called All Bergen, as we had used them in the past. They came and the technician could not remove the covers to access the motor and control panel. Said he would send someone else over but no one from All Bergen ever returned. After my calling they referred me to someone in Teaneck who was gracious enough to come over and remove the covers but could not fix it because he wasn't a repair person (he was a contractor and thought it was an outside roof issue with the exhaust). Got back in touch with All Bergen, sent them pictures of the hood showing that there was now access to the areas for diagnosing the issue & repairing and they never returned my repeated calls and texts. When I did speak to someone at All Bergen they lied to me about never getting the pictures (I resent repeatedly), the availability of Zephyr parts and who was in the office to speak to me. I did finally use another repair service, Handler Appliance in Wayne, and they came, diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts and returned in a week as promised and fixed the problem. read more

While visiting my mother's new house, I found that the over-the-range microwave oven that came with the house was missing its carousel plate and track wheel. The sticker that should have noted the model and serial numbers was worn away, but it was clearly not very old and an expensive model. After speaking with Mary at All Bergen, I sent photos of the oven and she was able to correctly identify the likely model and necessary replacement parts. She put the order in, at a discount, and the parts were delivered a couple of days later. Communication and customer service of this quality are not common, these days. Highly recommended. read more

What did I pay $100 for? Worst experience I had ever with an appliance repair company. My Maytag dryer was not working and called for a tech to come in and hopefully repair my dryer. Instead tech came in told me my main board is faulty and that they will get back to me within the week with an estimate. My I add they wanted that service called payed before they left. Week and a half later I called because nobody called me back with an estimate and was told that by the women who answered the phone that she will give me a call within an hour with a repair estimate. Well, she never called back. So after two weeks we a family of four were without a dryer. Called another company to look at my dryer and fixed it on the spot. Main board was not the problem. Worst service I ever got!!! I needed a repair for my dishwasher. A technician came, didn't fix the problem but said it's fixed. Mentioned that if the problem will recurred to call them and they will replace one part. Called them, asked to replace the part, they say they'll cal back- never happened, call them again- same thing. Called the third time- another receptionist answered and said that she will personally call me back with a price and a time window- never heard from them. read more

The worst experience I've ever had with a repair service. Rude receptionist to start. They give you a 5 hour window to show up which is not helpful. The technician was very nice, but they don't carry parts with them to fix any problems so I had to take a second day off to wait since he said he would be back the following day. When I called up at 8 AM to get a window for the service, I was told to call back at 9:30 since the schedule wasn't done. I called back at 9:30 and was told I wasn't on the schedule for today and that I would have to take a THIRD day off for the service. I cancelled the service. read more

I needed a part for my older model dryer and called around to a few local businesses to try and get the part. I needed two baffles, the fin-like device inside the drum that tumbles the clothes to minimize wrinkles and dry quickly. After calling All Bergen Appliance, I spoke with Mary to was promp, efficient and kind. Mary was able to get me the part the SAME day and she even encouraged me to try to install the part myself to save a bit of $$ since this is a relatively simply job. I came across these guys after googling replacement appliance parts when the start relay on my fridge went out. Long story short, finding the right part number was a bit of an ordeal, but the woman I spoke with on the phone was persistently helpful. I was ready to give up but it's like she made it her mission to find the part for me. As a testament to the apparent fact that no matter how bad you are in the appliance repair business there will still be people desperate enough to use you, this place is still in business. Long story short: DO NOT use this company. They can't keep appointment times and will flat out lie to you. Plenty of other well reviewed people to use here on Yelp. Trust me - do that. Reviewer Rhonda M. says "What's with these reviews?!?!" I'll tell you what: the bad ones are the ones to believe. Long story long: we've had FIVE appointments with this place. Wasted 15 hours of our life waiting for people that never showed up. First appointment, the tech showed up (Saturday), looked at our fridge (with a broken water and ice maker) and said he needed to call Frigidaire but they weren't open on the weekend so he needed to come back on Monday. Fine. The next appointment was between 9am-1pm on Monday. Tech showed up at 4:30pm - no phone call explaining why he was late from him or the company. Without looking at anything inside the fridge, he found the water line was faulty. Said he couldn't repair plumbing - charged us $80 for 20 minutes. That would've been fine had that fixed the problem, but the valve was replaced and water now flows, but the fridge still doesn't produce water or ice. 3rd appointment (Saturday) between 9am-1pm. Tech didn't show. No call, nothing. We called the office - no response. A whole day later, out of the blue the tech called to say his van broke down and the office should have notified us. We made another appointment for two days later, same time frame. 4th appointment - (Wednesday) between 9am-1pm, tech was a no-show again. No call. Nothing. We called the office, the lady who answered is named Dee. Without apologizing she lied right on the phone saying "We were going to call you as we just got your part in. We were going to call you this afternoon to see if we could schedule you for tomorrow." What!?!? What part??? Nobody diagnosed a need for any part! Still, she did confirm that our appointment wasn't in the book. At least that part was truthful! I complained about the time we wasted waiting for these guys and wanted someone out the same day. She said to "give me 10 minutes and I'll call you right back." Guess what? She never called. I called 2 hours later, spoke with Jeff and confirmed an appointment for the next day between 2-5pm with a tech named Dave. 5th appointment (and final) (Thursday) - between 2-5pm. 4:40pm I call to ask where the tech is. Spoke with Dee again and she said "he'll be there within 30 minutes!" You know the end of the story by now. He NEVER SHOWED UP! No phone calls, nada. Seriously?? I want to believe there is a hidden camera filming us and we'll see some funny version of this on a reality TV where the crew perpetrating these acts just wants to see just how far they can push regular, unsuspecting people before they totally loose their shi*t! That would make the most sense. Because besides that, the true reality of what they're promoting as a legit business is completely laughable and ridiculous. If I weren't so angry, I'd find it funny. For now, I can only hope to save other people from the aggravation of dealing with this company. Will update if anything changes. Don't hold your breath. read more

He needed something that another technician already had on his truck. Mistakes happen. However, as of today, one month later and having spent $95.91 on a diagnostic call, I still have a broken oven. NO STARS! I called them about my dishwasher on Monday 11/16/20, and they scheduled me for an appointment Wednesday 11/18. They did not show WED, THURS, Friday or SATURDAY as promised and each day was a ridiculous excuse including, "our tech is missing and we cant find him". REALLY? He finally showed up to evaluate my dishwasher on 11/23- 1 week from my initial contact. The tech showed up in a black van with blacked out windows and black painted hubcaps. It was the kind of Van you would be afraid to see in your neighborhood- it didn't even have writing on it saying the company name! Needless to say my dishwasher is still not fixed. Because of the initial delays Mary promised me a free evaluation and a free repair of my dishwasher. BUT - she is ignoring my calls, hanging up on my because I was upset, I left her multiple messages and even texted her- with no response. I waited 2 weeks to try and contact them again ( I needed to give it a break over Christmas). I got Mary on the phone finally yesterday 12/29 after she put me on hold for 10 minutes and I proceeded to tell her how unhappy I was with the service. She told me that my part was there!- but NO ONE EVER contacted me to install it! What the hell is that? She ultimately hung up on me. So now- ALL BERGEN APPLIANCE ( NON) REPAIR owes me a free dishwasher repair and has my part- but it looks like I will have to find someone else and start over and pay. I have contacted the BETTER BUSINESS Bureau. I am surprised this company is in business at all. It's been a horrible experience and I am still without a working dishwasher. ( I know there are plenty of things happening in the world that are way worse then a broken dishwasher- but I felt it was necessary to warn any consumer that was considering using All BERGEN APPLIANCE REPAIR). Scam Artists. Mary answered my call on a Sunday, tells me what's wrong with my refrigerator even though I tell her what part is needed. Mary quotes me a repair. Tech comes to my home (unannounced) tells me what I already know and orders the part and tells me the $95 service charge will be applied for the 5 minutes of work they did to assess Mary was wrong. Two days later All Bergen Appliance calls me and adds 30% to the original quote Mary gives me. Now all bergen will give me no money back on the service event. $95 for 5 minutes of work. Horrible! Waited for a service call that I had scheduled 2 days prior. Received a call day of (after waiting for them to come) that they weren't coming. When I said that I'd not acceptable they said ok let me call the technician to see what they could do. Not only did I never receive a call back but the office closed for the day and now I have a broken washing machine with no scheduled repair date.
