I felt this camp was just a cash grab piggybacking on the brand name of Real Madrid. My son…read moreattended the UCLA location (oddly marketed as "Beverly Hills" which is incorrect and a red flag). Check in on the first day was disorganized and did not start on time. Lines of parents trying to figure out which station to check in at, no one from the team taking charge to corral everyone, someone simply shouted vague instructions, and everyone was confused . When I went to get clarity, one of the guys said "I'm just a photographer!" and held up his hands... talk about not being a team player. When I asked for a receipt via email for my tax records, they sent me a PayPal receipt that did not even say the name Real Madrid camp nor Euro Soccer-- it looked like a generic receipt without any identifying marks, . So I had to I asked again for a formal invoice with EIN. This may seem like a minor inconvenience, but says something about how there is not a level of prep/readiness or organization behind the scenes. This is also camp where kids need to be self starters and take initiative . if your child is on the shy side and does not take proactive steps, this may not be the camp for them. The week at the camp was extremely hot in the sun, with no shade, except for some tents. My child said he was not briefed on safety measures and overheating, I felt that the coaches should have briefed everyone in advance that if they feel too hot, they should take a break. They kept pushing my son into goalkeeping and he did not want to do it, but he did not feel empowered to say no as they simply instruct the kids to go to those positions and don't have the time to ask them their preferences, or get to know them. It is a one week camp after all so there is a very high camper to counselor ratio and very little personalization. They do not know the campers individually, but I don't fault them for this--There are simply just too, too many kids. Combined with the crazy traffic at getting to UCLA, this just didn't feel like what my child needed to improve his skills. Again, this is my opinion only-- it felt impersonal. other people may feel differently.

Sports for learning provided a summer camp at my kids elementary school this summer. I was…read moreextremely disappointed by their coaches/counselors that were in charge of the children. First of all, I discovered that the counselors used profanity in front of the children, on a daily basis. Not only that, but when some of the kids started using inappropriate language, the coaches laughed and did not provide any guidance to stop this behavior. I only found out about this after several weeks,, when some of the children mentioned it to me and some of the other parents. When I brought it to the attention of the school district and the regional manager, they finally brought out supervisors to address it. Unfortunately the kids were already exposed to so much inappropriate language by then. The "sports" aspect of the program was not very educational or coordinated. The kids didn't really learn any rules of the games or improve any skills. It was basically just having them run around during these activities. In addition, at least one of the coaches contracted COVID during the camp and many kids were exposed to it. I honestly do not know how many contracted it, but it was very irresponsible for the counselors to put themselves at risk for, and catching Covid, especially when caring for elementary school children. I know many families who did not remain in the camp, due to the poor experience that our kids had with their coaches. I'm sure they have some good employees working for them who might have good backgrounds in caring for kids. But be sure to evaluate the counselors that are being used at each individual location. We were quite unhappy with the ones used for us.

Aside from not caring about covid protocols that we were told were put in place, they let the kids eat inside and smushing them together under the awning to eat other times, they didn't care at all when I brought it to their attention. The counselors didn't act appropriately around these young kids and used inappropriate language. Keep in mind this is an elementary school. These kids are very young. They were more like drill sergeants than camp counselors. It was an awful experience.

We have been coming here for three years now. Our eldest daughter has previously competed for the…read moreteam before deciding to move on with cheer for high school. Our youngest has started recreational classes and is currently on her first year in team. We love being in Majestic. Both our girls loved gymnastics and their coaches. Our eldest comes back once in a while to see her old team mates and to practice with her coaches. The coaches are very open with communicating with us and truly care about their students. There were some changes made in the gym with viewing but since the beginning, team viewing was always limited as to give all the parents a chance to view their kids during practice because of limited sitting prior to the expansion. Also, as previous athlete, we all know, parents can be distracting at times so I do think limited viewing is not a big deal. As a mom, I am also 100% in support of having the changing areas away from the hallway. I believe this was a great move that the girls have their own isolated area away where they can change and get ready without parents and strangers waiting on them after class. All in all, as a parent, a team sport only works if you as a parent, are willing to work well with the coaches and your kids. Majestic is amazing, we have made great friends out here!
