After reading the reviews, I figured this would be a good place to comparison shop. Best decision I could have made!!! From the moment I walked in, I knew this was an amazing business. Everyone was super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Another very important point for me was that there was absolutely no sales pressure. That's a HUGE plus! Long story short, I had received a quote for over $46,000.00 for the cabinets I wanted. This quote did not include any extras like pull out tray/drawers, lazy susans, utensil cabinets next to stove, etc. The price I ended up paying for all of the same cabinets from the original quote from the other guy plus additional cabinets, special pieces, drawer pulls, lazy susan/utensil drawer/pull out trays/drawers, etc. was just under $21,000.00!!! This price was for the exact same manufacturer (Fabuwood) and same exact color as quoted by the other guy...That's a $25,000.00 difference! (If my actual cost seems like a lot please note I got an insane amount of cabinets/pantries, etc.) Also, I don't know how I was so fortunate as to work extensively with Furkhan, but he was incredible throughout the entire renovation process! Despite the fact that I knew what I wanted for our renovations, I knew nothing about the actual process/details. Furkhan was pretty much available 24/7 and spent an endless amount of time with me going over every detail, making sure I didn't miss anything I might need, and answering my never ending questions. He took the time to learn exactly what I wanted and went above and beyond to ensure the desired results! He also came up with ideas that seemed minor but ultimately made the difference between me really liking my kitchen to absolutely loving it!!! (I still just look at the kitchen when I walk in and smile at the results). Another huge plus was that he worked seamlessly with my contractor and everyone else involved in the project (plumber, appliance place, etc.) to ensure the smooth flow of every aspect of the project. Even when I had a small problem with an outside vendor, he took care of it for me and made sure it was resolved immediately. He kept on top of everything going on and kept me updated accordingly. I cannot possibly thank Art of Kitchen Tile & Bath enough for all their hard work. Everyone who has walked into our house cannot stop talking about how beautiful it is and about the quality of the work! Some were glowing some were awful. We decided to go with GS, because we felt we liked the one stop shop for everything. Their showroom is spectacular and comprehensive. You're not pressured if you're looking around and opening and closing cabinets and drawers. My husband loved they always had sealed pastries and coffee he could make (in a covid world, that's key!) We began working with Doug, who was really great, he was patient and very knowledgeable. He was able to do the initial plans of our kitchen off of random photos, because we didn't know how to measure. He gave us his work cell, walked us around the show room, showed us options, all great! We said we'd think about it, checked out a few other places, but ultimately decided to go with GS. We went back and began the official process in August of 2020 but with someone else who no longer works at GS. We had a few very frustrating hiccups with deliveries and things not being ordered, that should have been ordered. I had a sink base cabinet that came broken (which happens and is nobody's fault) that delayed us about a month. Then my stone was out of stock. Now, these are all things that aren't the fault of anyone in particular however I am all about transparency and communication. Things happen, plans change, and we roll with the punches, but I felt I had to call GS before anything happened. I am very lucky that I had a great contractor (not associated with GS) who was awesome and patient. My kitchen was not fully complete until November. The upfront work of designing and supporting us with designing the kitchen was a 5* Ordering what needed to be ordered 3.5* Timeliness of the project 3* (i know there are production delays) Communication and transparency after the fact 2* The actual cabinet construction is great, the hinges are awesome, the tile and stone are beautiful. As we all know, things happen and sometimes things just happen out of our control so I liked that assurance. Plus I had read about their quality and I liked what I saw. I don't believe you need to get custom everything but I also don't believe in buying the cheapest option available to you. This seemed like the perfect compromise. I was able to meet with a designer, and although we weren't changing much in the kitchen, as we were keeping the original layout, he was able to suggest where we could make some visual architectural tweaks to make the kitchen pop more. I very much appreciated that I could see a full sketch on the computer versus a drawing layout. Once I committed there was a deposit and then the remaining half down and the rest upon completion. I did have a hiccup with the crown molding being a different color, but they were able to order the correct one and it was shipped out within a month. However, I had to pay to have my contractor remove the initial molding and put the new molding up. There were also issues with holes not lined for shelving which we just have to live with or at some point commit to making our own holes. This is pretty poor. It has been about 6 months and so far they are holding up.
