Don't go here expecting to see an MD. There aren't any. Only physicians assistants. The one I had, Jesse, who examined my knee, didn't explain anything about it except to say it was inflamed and I should take pain medicine. He didn't say anything about why my thigh and back were also hurting from the fall I had. The medicine he gave me was a direct conflict with other medication I am taking, which he never bothered to ask me about. It made me feel like crap for two days until I stopped taking it. I went back a second time because the pain was so bad and he gave me a Cortizone shot which did not help a bit - along with a big dose of negative attitude which told me he had no idea what to do with me. Next time I'm going to find a real doctor who has some degree of care and who knows what they are doing. read more

This review is for the Pukalani, Maui location. They are a god-send. I was able to walk in and be seen within 15 minutes (on a weekday afternoon). I was deeply impressed with their efficiency and professionalism, which was far beyond any other care I've received on Maui. After having x-rays taken, the doctor explained my treatment options and offered helpful suggestions (cortisone injection available if needed). More than anything else, it put me at ease and I felt much better just from that kindness and attention. I am so glad that they are here on Maui. read more

This place only has PAs on staff, no physicians. The PA I had was very cocky and had a terrible bedside manner. He even openly contradicted my PCP! After all that, they tried to get me to come back for a follow up!! Are they crazy??!! I do not reccomend this place, try to get a referral from your PCP to an ortho, physiatrist, or sports doc. You need collaboration in your healthcare, not staff in a clinic run by PAs who think they know it all, and do not accept medical notes from an experienced and well respected board certified physician. read more

I was referred here by my best friend who is a primary care physician. I texted her pics of my son's finger that got jammed at a baseball game and she said don't go to the ER go to all access ortho. I didn't know there was such thing as an Urgent Care Orthopedic! What a great concept, I'm so glad I found this place. Directions: Going East bound take the Punahou/Waikiki cut off and take right on punahou st and right on Beretania st. Get into your left lane, after you pass Kalakaua street look for parking entrance on your left. It's across from the 76 gas station and before Keeaumoku st. All Access Ortho is right on the Main Lobby Floor right outside of Juicy Brew. I gave the front desk my insurance forms and filled out about 6 sheets of paper work. I waited 5 minutes and they called me in. I was here because yesterday during a baseball game my son jammed his finger in the base and it was still swollen. They x-rayed his finger and the physicians assistant explained to me the results, xrays and severity, answered my questions and I was done. He had great bedside manner, was professional and was joking around with my son. Luckily it's not too serious but if I ever need to see an ortho again I would come here. I gotta share the info about this place to the other baseball moms it saves a lot of time rather than going to the ER. Although the physicians assistant helped me he was in contact with Dr Blum over the phone to ensure the correct recommendations were made. All Access Ortho also has an office in Mililani. They took HMSA and will invoice me. The parking cost was 1$ validated. I was referred to All Access Ortho by my primary physician when my sprained ankle apparently was actually a broken ankle. I told him that I could just go to my regular orthopedic physician, but he said that this would be faster. I didn't want to argue with him, so off I went. All Access Ortho is located on the bottom floor of Hale Pawaa on Beretanis Street. There is another driveway on Young Street. The building has a paid parking lot, but All Access Ortho does provide validation for up to an hour (please double check with receptionist). I showed up and checked in. There is a lot of paperwork, so be prepared. There are chairs, a sofa, an TV in the waiting room. It is very nice in there. They have their own X-ray room, so you don't have to go around to one place for X-rays and then back to the doctor. That's convenient. The exam rooms are large and very clean. I have only encountered Brit and Kate, both PAs. They both have great bedside manner and are very personable. They were patient and are happy to answer all your questions.I am so happy with the PAs, that I brought my daughter here to be seen for her knee injury. So you may be wondering why not a 5 star rating. I have an issue with the front staff and people who answer the phones. I have lost a note or needed a note to be more specific for my daughter's school. Either messages don't get passed, no call backs, or just not even answering the phone. I'm not talking like waiting more than a few hours, I mean like all day, and still no call back the next day. It can be really frustrating. If you have any sprain, fracture, pulled muscle, ache, pain, and need a diagnosis or treatment, come here for all your orthopedic needs! All Access Ortho is brand spanking new. I believe it's only been open since Nov 2013. The facilities are gorgeous and make you forget you're going to an Urgent Care facility (I usually associate those with the words grungy, small, uncomfortable, etc). Located in the Hale Pa'awa building on the corner of Keeamoku. and Beretania, parking is free for first hour, $1.00 for each half an hour after that with validation. Depending on how many people there are, you may just be able to get in and out under that time! The staff is VERY competent. They have several awesome PAs round the clock who can attend to just about anything. Patrick is your man! It's amazing because they have on-site imaging- X-ray & MRI so you usually don't have a super long wait time (one of the biggest reasons why you wait so long in the ED). They can cast you right there, perform small procedures, etc. The doctors/founders of this clinic are from the well-respected Orthopedic Associates of Hawaii group which is located on the 7th floor of this building. Some of them cover time down here, but most of the time they are upstairs manning their own private clinic and patient base. If you already see one of the docs there, have an acute problem come up, and are unable to make an appointment with them because they're booked for the next few weeks (as they usually are), I would recommend coming here because they will have all your records on file and will be able to get in touch with your specific doc if you require follow up. They can also refer you to the physical therapy group that they work with (also located in the same building) if you will need some PT. Voila! All those long wait times spent at the ED just to end up having a ED physician tell you to see a specialist anyway and send you on your way with pain meds??? Solved! If you have a problem RELATED TO ORTHOPEDICS in some way, I would highly recommend skipping the ED and coming here. They take both appointments and walk-ins, and they're open until 8pm!!! They take most types of major insurance and even some HMSA-Quest patients. If you don't have insurance though, you will definitely need to pay out of pocket then and there I believe. read more

I received quality care from the xray tech and the doctor who treated me. However, it is terribly FRUSTRATING to get anyone on the phone, and for referrals to go through in a timely manner. I've been trying to get ahold of someone (anyone in the office) to cancel my appointment, but the phone tree just sends you in circles or goes to VM.I had to cancel the appointment because a month had passed and my PT referral still had not gone through. Despite their delay, I was trying to be courteous and let them know I still hadn't been able to start PT, so there was no sense doing in following up appointments yet. I recently fractured my foot after a misstep in a pair of cute but not well designed platform shoes. I dreaded the hassle of going to the ER. What a stroke of luck that my friend told me about All Access Orthro! This is a five X five star operation! Five star #1: No three-hour delay. They have a great system that got me in and out within an hour! Five star #2: No infectious germs in the waiting room. It was nice that the few brief minutes spent in the waiting room was with fellow klutzes instead of with influenza and other contagious patients. Five star #3: Everyone is really nice! The entire staff including the receptionist, X-ray technician, boot fitter and docs are helpful, patient and pleasant. Five Star #4: Everything is in-house! No wheelchair or additional hobbling needed because their office has its own X-ray machine. You won't even need to go to another location for a cast or appliance because AAO fits you right in the examining room! Five star #1: They automatically send records, images and reports to your primary physician! That adds to my confidence in their professionalism and service. I was so nervous due to Covid of going anywhere near a doctors office but I'm so so glad I came to All Access Ortho. Yes you see a PA but our PA was awesome! The facility was so clean, registration was quick, we waited maybe less than 10 min and was greeted by the X-ray tech. Got X-rays done so fast and were led to our room to wait for the PA. Our PA reviewed the X-rays and thankfully everything looked perfect. They gave us a boot just for him to heal his foot and he was walking fine again in two days. It was great peace of mind and am so thankful for All Access Ortho! read more

I do not recommend this place. They did not have Drs on site. I didn't even see the PA until I had questions - the tech I saw had only been there a couple of weeks. They wanted to give me a brace even though they weren't sure what was wrong. I ended up having to start over with a sports medicine Dr. I should have just waited for that appointment. This time it was regarding dislocation my knee. I had PA Dawn Petroziello and was very disappointed. She doesn't have a good bedside manner, and was arguing with me about the last time I was there. Then she asked me what happened, but didn't examine my knee for swelling or order any x-rays or tests. Then she sent someone in to help me with a knee immobilizer (who didn't know how to set it right, kept asking me 'is this how it goes?' I don't know, you work here! ) When the PA came in again she said 'oh, I didn't know this was a new injury, the receptionist said it was the same one from before, oh well I'll have you do x-rays when you come in for your follow up in two weeks, even if the xray showed something I would still order you this brace. " I then tried to get her to clarify when to wear it and how to treat my injury and she told me, wear it when walking around. She didn't recommend any other course of action like icing it or putting it up, etc I had to call my father, who is a physician to ask him what to do. As I was walking out the brace kept sliding out of place (they had not positioned it correctly) and I asked the receptionist to call the pa to help me fix it and give me instructions about how and when to take the meds they prescribed (she had talked on the phone to my doc/ob but had not relayed the info to me). The receptionist pulled a different PA who was much more helpful and helped me reposition my brace. She is the reason they get 2 stars. After reading the signs and passing this place for over a year and a half. I finally needed to use their services. This place is specifically a orthopedic urgent care! So much better than going to the ER! No long waits! Lots of parking and the first hour is free! The staff was very friendly and efficient. The place was very clean and organized. I went in on a Saturday after suffering for 5 months. I was in there for less than a hour from checking in, filling out forms, X-rays to being seen and being diagnosed. Within a few minutes of one of the attending doctors, he tells me I have frozen shoulder, in both arms. I left with a prescription for PT. And hoping that would help. If not then I might have to go through with the shoulder manipulation. Which I eventually had to do. Which I did with Dr. Kan upstairs on the 6th floor. I'm very satisfied with the service I had with the staff! I highly recommend this place! read more

This is specifically for the Beretania office. First of all the cortisone shot they gave me did not help my knee pain. Did xrays and could not find out what was wrong then sent me to get MRI at St. Francis and was still unable to determine the cause. I went to another facility and they were able to help and also physical therapy was prescribed which helped me with my pain. Tonight I just called to ask for paperwork for my Aflac claim and the girl advised she could not email it because of patient privacy. Ok I understood but then put me on hold for awhile and transferred me to some unknown voicemail when I asked if there's any other method to obtain my paperwork. I called back 5 times and it would just go to the voicemail. If you didn't know, at least tell me or have someone call me back. That was really rude! Would never come back here again! On a side note, after my fifth attempt to call the Beretania office, I tried the Mililani branch and the gentlemen there was very helpful and was able to provide the help that I needed. read more

This place is a well oiled machine. Don't need an appointment, you can just walk in. I came in first thing in the morning, and there was a line to check in, but it went fast. Filled out my paperwork, was pulled in for a brief consult with a PA, x-rayed, consulted again with the PA, and then prescribed PT and prescriptions. In and out in a little over an hour. They take No-fault, work comp, and all insurance plans. read more

I was seen to get help with my shoulder. The person who helped me was great. He explained my problem and was kind. Why one star?? I received a bill 3 months later. When looking at the charges, I was billed twice on the bill for the same expense. I emailed the company numerous times, I left messages with the billing department, and called all the locations to call about the double charge on my medical bill. Not one return of an email, phone call, and they do not pick up their phones. They will not return any phone calls at any location but they will keep sending you notices on the money you owe them. So good service but when you receive your bill and it's wrong, if you are charged more than you should be or if you have any questions regarding your bill, you are out of luck. You WILL pay more than you should. There are a lot of other companies and doctors in Hawaii that will help you fix your charges due to their mistake and provide great customer service to their patients because they care. Unfortunately, I don't see this company as one of them. I strongly do not recommend going to this company unless you are willing to pay more than you should when you bill arrives. read more

I did not find this place to be very helpful in my continuous process to find out what's wrong. PA Adam Mays came in with a diagnosis before even seeing me and then spoke over me while I was talking and interrupted me several times, accusing me of not knowing what I was feeling. He mentioned I could call him a quack because I wasnt happy, which seemed very impersonal and unfriendly. I do not feel he's actually a quack, but I would never tell anyone to use these services unless they absolutely had to. How can you diagnose someone without even talking to them or listening to them?You just walk in and tell them they're crazy and send them home w meds they don't want or didn't ask for; or a referral to the next doc for them to figure it out? Not impressed at all. This seems to be a trend here in Honolulu. Note, I went in for a physical therapist referral, knowing the doc I would see would come up with a diagnosis that seemed to fit, as they all have. I was met with an angry doc who did not want to be with a patient, only someone he could shove a patient off to the next one. I went in first thing Sunday morning (probably not the best time given all the weekend injuries but a lot better than waiting to go somewhere else on Monday at the earliest). I'd say they take a pretty minimalist approach to diagnosis and treatment which is fine (based on my previous experience else where with different kinds of back injuries). My knee was bothering me and decided to go to All Access Ortho from work. Went in and waited less then a hour. Got x-ray done and saw Matt who was the PA. I explained to him my problem and he can up with a plan. He aspirated fluid from my knee and got cortisone injections. My knee felt so much better . I'm glad I decided to go to All Access Ortho instead of the urgent care. If you need rapid orthopedic evaluation this is the place to go. I'm very happy on my visit there. My husband has this bad infection on shin on his right leg. We first went to Island Urgent Care Kahala. The attending physician told us to come here as he was unable to clean out the wound??!! Anyways, we were so glad that we did! The medical staff here are truly professionals with compassion! They were able to clean out my husbands wound and sent us home with excellent home care advice. We are so grateful for the compassionate support. My husband does not have medical insurance and we just spent $270 at Island Urgent Care for the doctor to administer antibiotics and order a culture to determine the the strain of infection. Very happy with my visit to All Access Ortho, I wasn't sure what I did to my knee/leg and it wasn't getting better, so we stop in at All Access Ortho, got there about 1:45pm and left about 3pm. They were very friendly, thorough and quick but not rushing. The x-ray technician took numerous views of knees and leg, turns out a broken fibula up near the knee. The PA was very nice and knowledgeable went over the x-rays with me, showed me the break, consulted with the Orthopedic surgeon upstairs (not sure which review said they are not associated with doctors but apparently they are) and received a knee brace and was on my way. I didn't feel they were trying to over diagnose or over sell me on anything. I don't wish anyone needs to go here especially when you are on vacation but if you need an answer this is the place to go. read more

I wish all doctors were this efficient. Have you ever been to a doctor's office where you walk in at your appointment time, later to find out that the doctor won't see you for at least another hour? This stuff doesn't happen here. On my first visit, the longest part of the whole thing was filling out the medical forms. Once I did that, they took me into the xray room to get me xray'ed immediately, and then off to your doctor visiting you. Now, just on the wait alone, I would give them 5 stars because I hate waiting for the doctor to see you. The icing on the cake was the staff here. Not only is the staff here efficient and nice, the PA's and the doctor's are extremely knowledgeable. I've never had doctors or assistants give me as much detail as All Access Ortho did. Never a "I don't know" or "I'll check on it for you". These guys know their stuff. All Access Ortho is also open in a convenient time and parking is quite the breeze. Don't get the injections, they will eventually cause a tear. Then you'll have to see a Dr. upstairs at OA and they won't cure you because 1. There is no cure for tendon tear and 2. Their practice caused it so they'll just tell you "go back to work" and wont give you the time of day. Plus if you have issues, you have to deal with the nurse from hell. During my two visits to All Access Ortho (#injuryprone), I have probably waited a total of ten minutes. TEN MINUTES. Not hours, literally, shorter than my wait at my regular doctor visits. This place is straight genius. You sign in, wait (remember, it's a short wait, woohoo!), get called in, probably take an x-ray, take your vitals, get your prescription, and #BOOM you.are.done. I know, I know, you think I'm joking. But I've never been more serious and love that it's so fast to be seen and get the treatment your injury needs. (Side note: they do worker's comp injuries, too!) Everyone is really nice! Parking is convenient and the Hale Pawa'a building is really nice, too. If you need to get PT, JACO is in the building, too. If you need a prescription filled, there's a Longs Pharmacy literally steps away! Since I recently got rear ended again I am seeing a physiatrist and a pt, however my arm was hard and extremely painful. Since it was after work hours and i wasn't sure when I would be able to see my md, I went here. Had to wait forever since it was busy. I think I left like 2+ hours later. And I left not knowing what was wrong...some vague dx such as forearm pain. PA was not very thorough saying that I probably got messed up with my acupuncture and chiro appts and I should quit that. Got a script for hand therapy...will see if this works. Wouldn't recommend here unless this is a last resort. read more

Went to this place a couple days after I was hit by a car on my moped--going about 20mph. Told them on the phone what happened and the pain I had. Normal bumps bruises cuts sprains, possible tears, worries about numbness in my hand blah blah etc... that you would incur from T-boning a midsize car at 20mph and then doing a flip over the car into the middle of north Nimitz hwy..... Soooo, after I sign in and give all the details/concerns I would like checked... the nice radiologist lady informed me the doctor can only look at one injury per visit, but just this one time she will let me pick two spots to get Xrayed... I told her maybe an X-ray is NOT best and an MRI would be more appropriate since the cuts and bruises muscle tears possible tendon damage start at my foot, travel through both wrists and shoulders and is creating pressure and pain intermittently between my shoulders and going up my neck. She tells me no need for the MRI we will do physical therapy first and I could request pain medicine if needed?????? I asked her what she is rehabbing if she only looked at my elbow and back through an xRay?? She had a brief pause and replied I gotta do Physical therapy before I get an MRI?! You know all that stuff you hate about hospitals? Waiting around for 3 hours, filling out 30 pages of paperwork, some unpleasant nurse who hasn't washed her hands after handling deadly viruses telling you "this might hurt". This place is basically the opposite of all that. My wife hurt her foot so badly today we thought it might be broken. After calling an emergency room and getting quoted over $1,000 to get a foot X-ray (really?!?), we decided to give this place a try instead. We drive down here 15 minutes before closing on a Friday with no appointment or call ahead. Here's a breakdown of the whole experience: 1. Walk in. Man this place is clean. Was this built this year? This whole building is brand new. 2. The staff is smiling. Immediately 3x better than a typical ER. 3. We are asked to fill out paperwork that takes maybe 5 minutes. My wife is immediately taken in for X-Rays. I go park the car in the attached parking garage (in Honolulu, easy parking!?! Can you imagine?) 4. We wait literally 30 seconds in the exam room and the doctor walks right in. He does a physical exam of her foot, walks out to re-check the X-Rays. Unlike some doctors, he seems to actually care about getting the diagnosis right. Despite being after closing time, the staff and doctor aren't rushed at all. 5. My wife is given the most likely diagnosis (no fracture), thoroughly explained all the possible problems/fixes for this, fitted for a foot boot, and given crutches. The crutches aren't covered under health insurance, but the cost is $20ish. Already I feel better that they're not extorting us and making us pay $100+ like other hospitals have done to me in the past. 6. We all stand around a large computer screen and look at the X-Ray. This place is new enough that the X-Ray is available immediately via the magic of, get this, computers. The doctor who saw me, first name is Patrick. I should have asked his last name. Guy is top shape. Cares, detailed analysis, didn't even wanna give me the MRI. Saved me couple hundred bucks. No appointment necessary. Abundant parking garage. Brand new facility. Clean. Positive workers. No hassles. Very professional. Highly recommend to anyone who needs X-ray or MRI. It is a very convenient urgent care for orthopedic problems. I've been to the Beretania office and the wait time was minimal, which already deserves a star. I was seen by PA Adam Mays and he was very personable, professional and thorough, with a great bedside manner. The other staff members were pleasant and friendly, too. I. was a very satisfied patient. This visit deserved FIVE STARS. Then, my next visit was the complete opposite because I was seen by PA Ms. Peralta. She was sassy, arrogant, impatient and horrible all around. Her body language says let's make this fast, I don't have time for you. She obviously doesn't like what she does and it shows. She belongs in an office where she doesn't have customer contact. This visit deserved ZERO. STARS. If I ever have a need for this office in the future, I will make sure to ask who is on staff that day. If it's Ms. Peralta, I'll say NO THANKS!!! read more

Let me start with my main issue with this place is marketing. It bills itself as a walk in orthopedic clinic and it's website implies it has actual doctors that work here who do diagnostic work but in reality this place is simply a urgent care for acute traumatic musculoskeletal injury; they do not do diagnosis of anything else nor will they refer you to a orthopedist. They also do the standard questionable urgent care billing practice where they X-Ray everybody for no reason, etc just so they can bill it; basically as far as I can tell it's the Island Urgent Care of broken bones and sports injuries and just as shady. I can't give it less stars as after a five minute conversation with the reception staff I was told to fly a kite which I guess at least is honest and I can give three starts for that (as opposed to simply taking my money and then telling me to fly kite) but equally I can't give them more. Maybe they are great if you break something but that isn't what I was there for and that isn't what their website implies. I went to talk to a orthopedist and was basically told "too bad, we don't have those here and our PA which runs the place is an asshole and won't recommend one either". Rather than waste my time, how about you all update your website to ACCURATELY reflect your services. read more

Horrible horrible horrible!!! I have HMSA (private) and a Prescription but talk about 3rd degree!!! Ugh. I needed a chest X-ray for my physical exam. My doctor works in the same building! The girl I spoke to was awful. gee whiz. Not friendly at all and she sounded annoyed. The BEST is, I went there before and she found me in their system! How's that. No go! read more
