I got a mani and a pedi. It was the worst one I have ever gotten. It hurts me even to write this…read morebecause Julie is friendly. She didn't cut my toes or fingernails. She didn't assess the areas that need extra TLC due to hardened skin. The foot massage was about 30 seconds too. And my nails... She didn't use cream even once. I believe the mani service is supposed to come with lotion and "massage." I didn't get either. I got a clear coat on my nails, and some areas are missing application. My fingernails look awful, not only from the splotchy paint but since dried skin still peppers the area. I tipped Julie 20% because she was nice, and I genuinely think she doesn't realize how bad this service is. I am struggling to accept that I just paid $78 for this experience. I am so upset. I will book an appointment somewhere else and hope they can give me the spa treatment I should have received and paid for.

This is an excellent salon to get your hair done before attending a wedding! I came here to have my…read morehair done in a chignon bun hours before my brother's wedding. The stylist, Ms. Misty, was so kind and thoughtful, it was such a relaxing and wholesome experience. She is delicate with her hands, she asked me a couple questions of why style I was looking for and she nailed it so good! The stylish messy bun lasted well on a sunny windy wedding day. In the evening, I actually took the bun out and just let my hair down and it looked so so good! I got many compliments. If you are planning to attend a wedding and need your hair done, I highly recommend this salon and booking an appointment in advance!

I contracted Heather's Salon to do hair and makeup for me and my bridal party at my wedding…read more The positives: they arrived on time and took care of everyone as scheduled, and were finished only a little late. We were all happy with how we looked. The negatives: they are very disorganized, which caused unnecessary stress while planning my wedding. For example, I asked them to send me a contract at least three times over as many months before Heather, the owner, sent it. The stylist who did my hair for the wedding didn't remember how we had done it during our trial, even though she had a picture from the trial, and I had to ask her to re-do it on the day of the wedding, which wasted some time. They did not keep track of the deposit I'd made, and were confused on the wedding day as to how much to charge me. Weeks later, one of them called to say they'd forgotten to charge me an extra $100 for coming to the hotel. Ultimately, I was happy with my hair and makeup. But they were not easy to work with.

I call her the artist over a stylist because on each and every visit she has turned my very fine, very curly, somewhat frizzy hair into a beautiful style that perfectly frames my face. I could go on and on about Michelle -even gave me her cell phone, but some of the high points are that she introduces me to the latest products and tool to make my life easier. These tools like the wand, a modified curling iron that bends the hair instead of curling it and this great lightweight oil that helps cut down on frizz that comes as a result of Maryland summertime humidity. Michelle's skills, these products, & the positive energy from this "one little shop" will keep me going back to Serindipity Salon forever! Using Bernstein's photo.
