I found this place by accident while driving around looking for somewhere to eat lunch. It is a small shop. They heat up the Empanadas when you order them. I had the Spicy Beef and the Lomo Al Verdejo which is their specialty. I liked the Spicy Beef a lot. I expected the Lomo Al Verdejo to be more flavorful than it actually was. They mark the Empanadas with their brand and provide the option of buying Empanadas to reheat at home. It turns out that one of my brothers found this place by accident as well. He loves Empanadas so the two of us went back for some more. The restaurant has a few tables inside and a couple of tables outside. There is no table service. read more

This little empanada shop is located in West Sunrise bordering Weston. An entire place dedicated to only empanadas and I was told to check it out by a few friends. Upon entering there were a couple tables and wall bar seating. Contact was immediately made with the sole employee, Erica, who was very friendly and explained the empanada options and provided me with a togo menu. Everything sounded delish but of course I went with the spicy beef for $3.79 - which is an average price. The other menu options were Humita, Ground Beef, Chicken and Knife-Cut Beef. I paid Erica and then slight confusion and dissatisfaction set in. The all too common box pull from the giant freezer where Erica removed one empanada and placed it into the oven. Upon my interest she advised me that the frozen empanadas are sent to the store about every two days to sell. In addition, they advertise from 10 $26 to 50 $115 empanadas, "Frozen directly from the freezer to oven, without dishes, without utensils, for all tastes" for big orders parties catering ect. I get the simple concept, but do you lose the bake, oven, eat taste? They also have sweet empanadas - apple cinnamon and dulce de leche for $3.79. Breakfast too - Omelette or Guave & Cheese $3.79. Offer Vegan options too - Vegan Arab, Somozas and Spinach also $3.79. My taste decision on empanadas alone at best is average, although, the perfectly small menu and the super low prices where every item on the menu is $3.79 really entices me to rate higher than normal. This top notch bathroom (very important) was so beautiful with the quaint bench and sparkling clean. I was praying for something great to happen upon first bite into the crispy shell. Well, Erica had her sights on me after our brief frozen food conversation. The shell was very crispy and the beef was smoking hot, moist and average tasting but not very spicy. Im gonna come back with the wife for another try at this shop and try the Sweet Apple Cinnamon Empanada. A strong 3.3 star rating today and hope to update it on my next adventure here. read more

Delicious spot I discovered today! I was getting an oil change and wanted a coffee. Saw this spot in the same plaza as valvoline in weston road and 84 and what a great coincidence. Parking is easy as they're located in a plaza. They offer very unique mixes of flavors inside the traditional Argentinian empanada. A must try for sure. I had: Spanish: with chorizo, thought I wasn't going to be a fan because of the peppers but it has a lot of chorizo and flavor is amazing Omelette: super fresh and savory, with egg so recommend it for the morning Service was great and fast. We love empanadas and we were so happy we found this place. We ordered some to eat when we got home, The empanadas are tasty and they don't skimp on the filling. I also like the fact that they stamped the empanadas so I know exactly what it is before I even bite into it. There are lots of variety and flavors to choose from. I'm Argentinean! I was having a house party and was looking for a solid Argentinean spot. I was so excited when I saw this place and went IN. I ordered 10 empanadas to try them all and make a big order for my event. The place was cute and service was great. The empanadas unfortunately were pretty terrible. Every empanada had a VERY strong taste of green onions and scallions. Every filling tasted the same! The only two edible flavors were the Spaniard empanada and the spinach empanada. The rest were all terrible. Unfortunately, I won't be back. I hope they re-do their fillings with a new authentic chef :( read more

I love empanadas and love the variety offered at this tiny cafe. The owners are super nice and a pleasure. The best empanada for me was the ground beef, but the chicken was just ok and the Spanish was tasty but had too little filling. My daughter liked the ham and cheese and the mac and cheese empanadas. There were 4 of us and we each got three and they were very filling. The dough was excellent and perfectly cooked on all of them. The owner gave me a cup of their sangria to try and it was sooo good I had to get a bottle. They also have a few deserts like alfajores and little cakes in jars. Let me start by saying I am not a big empanada fan. Usually there aren't many for me, since I eat plant based. While trying to find something different to eat and someplace that would deliver, All About Empanadas came across my Yelp. I placed my order and within 5 minutes got a call to apologize for not having 1 of the types I ordered. The person on the phone was very apologetic and I was okay. They refunded my card for the ones not sent. They even sent me 4 free Arab (vegan ones). My husband and daughter tried: Macaroni & Cheese filled Chicken Beef Ham & cheese Cuban Guava & cheese. My husband's favorites were the beef & Cuban I had the vegan lasagna (OMG delicious!) and the Arab). Each empanada was marked, so there was no guess work. They heated up nicely then next day. First sorry for the person who went in to try all flavors of empanadas and order for a party and then claim all fillings tasted the same---- I had a very opposite and wonderful experience! Located in a strip mall. It's a small storefront. There are a few tables inside and outside. Very cafe looking. It has a counter you order at. Menu is posted everywhere- on the wall, on the placemats, everywhere. They specialize purely in empanadas and alfajores. They have the traditional empanadas of ground beef, chicken, pork. Then they have a couple popular ones which are the hand cut beef and one other one. Then they have some more uniques kinds such as Spanish, Italian, Indian, etc. and then they also have some American classics of Cheeseburger, Mac & Cheese, etc. These empanadas are all baked, not fried which I love! I got the Spanish empanadas stuffed with Spanish Chorizo, I got the Indian Curry stuffed with a curried chicken and some cream cheese, and then a traditional ground beef one. They sell sauces to go with the empanadas if you like, and I highly recommend! I got per recommendation an aioli and a chimichurri. And my favorite was combining the two to make a chili aioli In order of favorites, number 3 was the Spanish Chorizo. While tasty, the chorizo was more intense than I was thinking it would be. I paired it with the aioli to cut through the strong chorizo flavor. 2nd place was the Indian Curry. This tasted exactly as I was thinking it would. It was quite tasty and worked very well with the aioli too. 1st place was the ground beef with the chimichurri sauce- #bestcombinationever. No I am not exaggerating, they are really, truly, very delicious.They have great service and nice combos so you can treat yo self and your family! They have wonderful and fresh empanadas, not to mention a really delicious dipping sauce which was a gold color. I had the pleasure of trying a few flavors and all of them were amazing in their own way, I'm usually not amazed by empanadas, but these were something to write home about. They have a great variety, and have some flavors based on the main spices/ dishes in other countries, such as Arabic, Mexican, Cuban, Indian, French, Spanish, Italian. That is so creative and not something you see anywhere. They also have a variety of cheese empanadas, even a mac and cheese one. I recommend mixing and matching. There is no way you will be satisfied with just one, I recommend getting at least two, and more than that if you plan on sharing. You can also buy them frozen if you plan on making them later on My personal favorites, were: broccoli cheese- this one was phenomenal and had me shook. Nice little "hole in the wall" restaurant. The service is very friendly and the empanadas are real good and NOT fried. The people here are very easy to talk to and they don't try to sell you everything on the menu. Not sure what is in any of their empanadas? Just ask, and they will gladly explain. I discovered this place a few months ago and I keep coming back. The prices are very fair and the sangria pairs great with all the empanadas. I only tried one of the dessert empanadas and we liked it. They also have some that are frozen and you can take them home for another time. We usually buy them 6 at a time and have taken some home to share with family and friends. Check them out soon, you'll be glad you did! Average price per empanada is around $3.50. I really enjoy empanadas and this is my current favorite. Be aware that the empanadas that you pick from the menu are not pre-made and sitting on a bakery shelf. These are prepared to order and served freshly made. The carry out orders are delivered in small boxes, just like a decent bakery. The dine in meals are served on wooden cutting boards. Beware that the fillings are very hot and juicy. During my last visit, I squirted hot filling juices all over my shirt because I was eating too quickly! Very delicious food here. The shop is small but very nice inside. Service is very personal and attentive. They serve a chilled sangria for the few patrons that can fit inside which is a classy touch. I have enjoyed everything so far, but the humita empanada is really special. I ordered through delivery apps during the pandemic but saw today while in the plaza that they were open around 5:30p. I lived in South America growing up in Uruguay and Argentina and my family loves empanadas. These are by far the best I've had here. They are just SO good. They're not greasy & the flavor is just amazing. You can tell these are made with quality ingredients ; and love. The man who took my order was very nice and helpful helping me decide on some and I ended up buying their 6 empanada combo and it came with two drinks. We devoured them ; didn't dislike one! I got the chicken empanada and it was so juicy and the chicken tasted so fresh. The shell was flaky and crispy kind of like a pie crust. I absolutely love non chained local restaurants, especially a nice coffee shop and with delicious treats to go along with it! This place is amazing! It just recently opened up 2 months again and their business is thriving! The homemade empanadas are delicious here and everyone is so friendly! This was my first time trying Argentinian food and I already can't wait to go back! Also, I love the fact that they have vegan and vegetarian options as well with the Vegana Bolognese and breakfast empanadas. Before leaving, they gave us a treat with their specialty dulce de leche mini empanadas! So delicious!!
