I was seeking a cake not frosted with Buttercream, or not frosted at all, so I thought I'd give this a try. I really wanted the Taro Cake but whimped out when considering the taste of who I'd be sharing it with, but did get to try it. It taste, both in profile & texture, like a sweet potato. Purchased a Vanilla Strawberry Fresh Cream Cake. It was light in texture, not terribly different from Angel Food Cake, but absent of other flavors. Less sweet cakes often have overtones of almond or citrus that shine through, but this tasted like a vanilla cake minus the sugar. When I sliced into it I was hoping for more of a strawberry puree inside, but it appeared to be just sliced strawberries & a whole lot of unsweetened whipped cream. A little 1 dimensional for me. It was packaged beautifully w/ a lady finger & birthday candle. The gentleman working the counter was super helpful & I look forward to trying the Matcha & other flavors in the future. This one was a miss for me. While I barely have a sweet tooth, I need a little more going on than what was presented. That's a preference, not a criticism.

I got the strawberry saga which is like a strawberry milk drink with jelly on the bottom. I've been here multiple times and the owner's always kind and gets orders out pretty quick. I got a black sesame crepe cake to go which my partner enjoyed. My friend and I left and came back for our treats as they can spoil easily and they held onto our orders.

As someone who loves coconut but gets full easily, the smaller size is perfect. The original flavor is light and classic, but the coconut latte was my favorite--the slight bitterness from the coffee balances the sweetness really well. The osmanthus fermented rice one is also worth trying if you like more complex flavors. Everything feels thoughtfully made, not overly sweet, and the portion size makes it easy to try multiple flavors without feeling overwhelmed. Definitely a great spot if you enjoy trying new desserts without committing to a huge portion.

I kept checking and the cashier kept telling me 10 minutes. 30 mins later still not ready. People who ordered after me were getting the same food. I asked for a complimentary croissant to hold over my hungry toddler. They gave me such a hard time with that alone. 45 minutes later, they tell me they forgot to cook the chicken nuggets . The owner yelled at me do you want "refund or nuggets". I told her I should have both but refused to do so. Apparently 9$ is too much to correct a mistake they made. Bad business practice. My friends and I won't be back. The service sucks and you won't get your microwavable chicken nuggets. Also never cleaned up fecal matter on floor.

These were honestly some of the biggest scoops I've seen at any Kilwins -- super satisfying, especially if you're looking for a treat that feels worth the price. My friend was going to order 4 scoops but ended up going with 3 after seeing how much ice cream they packed in. Just a note: as you go up in scoop count, they reduce the size of each one a bit to make it all fit, which is understandable, but good to know ahead of time. Flavor-wise, it's the usual Kilwins lineup, solid, classic options like Toasted Coconut, Salted Caramel, etc. Nothing too unexpected if you're familiar with the brand, but still delicious. The store was very busy when we visited, and while the staff was kind, respectful, and patient, the space itself could've used more attention. There was quite a bit of melted ice cream on the ground, likely from cones dripping in the heat, and with people stepping in it, the floors were noticeably sticky. Not the cleanest vibe, which took a bit away from the experience. One downside compared to other Kilwins I've been to: they didn't accept the Kilwins loyalty card here. That was a bummer since other franchise locations do honor it, and it's disappointing when you assume it'll be valid across the board. That said, the team here was happy to offer samples (which some Kilwins have stopped doing), and they moved the line efficiently even during a rush. Overall, it was a satisfying stop -- especially if you're in the mood for a big, indulgent scoop -- and I'd come back again when the craving hits.

What a lovely little spot on the Main Line! I am an afternoon tea connoisseur, so my expectations…read morewere rather high... and they were surpassed! I had been in the area for several days to tour apartments and daycares in advance of our planned move to Pennsylvania next year... so a lovely tea was my little splurge on the trip after days of drinking protein shakes on the go. I made a reservation for 10 am on Sunday, right when they opened, since I was going to go straight to the airport afterward. I was seated immediately, and everything came out pretty fast. I opted for the full afternoon tea, which comes with eight tea sandwiches, a scone with clotted cream, lemon curd, and strawberry preserves, and three assorted mini pastries, along with a pot of tea. You can choose up to four flavors for the sandwiches (so you get two of each flavor for a total of eight mini sandwiches), so I got the curried chicken salad, egg salad, cucumber and cream cheese, and cheddar cheese and chutney. Most tea places give you four sandwiches per person, so there was no way I was finishing eight of these. Thankfully, I got four of them in a to-go box and they ended up being a tasty snack on the plane. The curried chicken salad was my favorite (which they sell in their to-go containers in the gift shop), followed by the cucumber and cream cheese (the cucumbers were thinly sliced, which makes a big difference!). The egg salad was good, but a bit mild-flavored. I can't say I loved the cheddar cheese and chutney combo, so in the future I might just opt for more of the curried chicken or cucumber sandwiches instead. For the scone, I chose blueberry citrus, which was delicious! I used a very thin layer of the lemon curd, followed by the strawberry preserves and topped with the clotted cream. All of the flavors worked quite well on the scone. I wasn't blown away by the mini desserts (I can't recall exactly what flavors they were, but there was a posset that was a bit saltier than I was expecting, a blueberry cream puff, and a mini cake slice). But as I've gotten older, I've found myself more drawn to the savory aspect of afternoon teas anyway. The rest of the meal was delicious enough, and filling enough, that I honestly was never going to be able to finish everything. I was dining solo here, and I'm guessing not a lot of people do a tea for one, so I ended up chatting with 4-5 different employees here over the course of my meal. I have to say that the service here may have been the friendliest I've experienced pretty much anywhere. Everyone I spoke with was so welcoming and kind! When it came time for me to leave, they all wished me a safe trip back to Florida and said they hoped to see me again as one of their "regulars" once we move. I can already tell you, I hope that's the case too! This place is adorable, inside and out. And I love the assorted British foods available in the gift shop, along with fun kitchenware. If my suitcase hadn't already been packed to the brim, I probably would've spent more money in that shop. I'm looking forward to returning next year once I escape the Sunshine State :)
