Please note this location is under new management - Elio and his crew are doing a great job catching up on repairs to motors, radios and GPS units. I rented the Sea For 226 which had a new Suzuki motor, new radio and speakers. the boat was clean and ran well. It was a pleasant experience from reservations, to signing papers at pick-up, to boat overview to drop-off and fueling. We usually head out the Sombrero Lighthouse reef or Cotton Patch reef to snorkel for the day. They have a very good selection of boats from deck boat, to pontoons to center consoles to fit every budget. Call them to make reservation, book months ahead of busy season. Rented 21 foot bay boat from them for 4 days for time around marathon and the keys. Boat had def had some wear and tear with a cracked and repaired front with exposed spots in the fiberglass. Scratched up and ripped top canopy. The shifting was tough and you just knew it was worn hard and for the $1200 price tag (plus fuel) it was def not what we were expecting. We know boat rentals are expensive but there were moments that left us uneasy with inability to reverse and the vibration over 20mph. Noted to the team but they were apathetic to it and when taking my family out that's not enough for us. Wouldn't recommend if heading out to sea for fishing or anything less than flat waters. read more

I've been a long time on and off customer of All Aboard Boat Rentals for years. And I've tried different outfits from time to time when staying outside of marathon. In my experience many of the boat rental outfits tend to be really cut throat and border line hustlers in the way they run their operations. Keep in mind I said many, not all. My recent experience at All Aboard Boat Rentals compelled me to sit down and share it with the world in hope that I can help others. I am going to be as concise as possible otherwise people will skip over my review and miss out on the best part. ****DISCLAIMER***** Not related, affiliated or paid in anyway Pros 1. Open on time. Believe it or not it's not the norm lol. 2. Answer the phone. If you call them with questions, issues or concerns they are more than happy to assist however possible. No attitudes or rudeness (unless provoked) 3. Knowledgeable staff that quickly go over the details of the boat like, safety requirements, propeller condition, fire extinguisher, shallow areas to avoid. 4. Well maintained fleet. We rented 4 different boats over the course of two weeks and we didn't experience a single issue. Turn key operation every time. All the electronics worked too, the radio, the GPS, the fish finder etc... Even the hulls are well maintained with very little marine growth which helps with fuel efficiency and top end speed. 5. Well stocked store. You can get everything you may need right there. From ice to chum, squid, basic tackle, snacks etc.... 6. Best part is the staff. I don't have all the names but I interacted mainly with Steven, Jay and the queen of customer service TONY!!!!! I can't say enough about this group. I've watched them interact with people of all walks of life and budgets and ethnicities. They treated everyone exactly the same even those that don't speak the language. It was very cool to see Steven using google translate to communicate with none English speaking customers. That most have been frustrating but they did it anyway. You'd think this is the standard but I can honestly tell you that this is not the case everywhere you go....sadly. Constructive criticism 1. I wished they had a way to store basic customers information so you wouldn't have to waste time with the paperwork every time you rented a vessel. Or streamline the process a bit more . I am sure it's a very small percentage of customers if any that actually read that many pages. The owner was a complete jerk to my wife and I. Honestly if there had been another option I would have left immediately but given that it was our last day of vacation and finding another boat would have been impossible, we stuck it out. But that doesn't stop me from leaving a truthful, scathing review. We arrived at 7:45, before they opened at 8:00 AM in order to facilitate getting our boat for as long as possible. A line had formed outside by 8:00 and we were 2nd in line. The guy who was first said he was waiting for something so I went in at 8:05 to try and get the process moving. The owner screamed at me that there was a line and I had to wait outside. I replied that I was next in line and i was ready to go. He screamed to "get out and wait" so I did as asked. About 15-20 minutes later he comes out and starts asking for people who have reservations. I raised my hands with a few others. He starts writing down all the names and gets to me last. When I pointed out that I was before all of the others, some of whom had just arrived while we had been there for quite some time at that point, he threatened to fight me. No joke. He said that if I didn't like the way he operated that he and I could "take a walk and settle it like men". As much as I wish I could have obliged him, I didn't think my waiting mother and 4 children would appreciate me going to jail and no boat. I tried to de-escalate at that point and apologized, but he didn't say anything and walked back inside. Because I, the paying customer, has dared to ask him to serve me in the order that I had been in line, he then took care of all the other customers first. That caused us to miss a valuable two hours of water time since they have to go over a lot of info before they send you out. When the dockhand came with us to show us the boat he couldn't have been nicer. I won't share anything beyond that cause the owner clearly has anger issues and I don't want to be responsible for getting him fired or beaten. Let's just say that I don't think he works under ideal conditions or with a stable boss. Our boat was terrible. It was supposed to be a normal speed boat but was instead a single-engine pontoon boat. It was extremely old and run down. The engine barely started and everything on it was broken. It was slow and made navigating beyond the canals a nightmare. There was no chance to go snorkeling or to sandbars, like my family was dying to do, because the boat was too slow to take any meaningful trips. We went to the Atlantic side for 5 minutes before realizing that it was just not going to work in that boat. I made the best of the day for my family but I give this business a negative 5-star review. How you can treat your customers like that and expect to get repeat business is beyond me. I guess I should have kissed the guy's ass WHILE ALSO paying him way more money than the piece of crap boat they rented us was worth. Sorry I didn't get the memo beforehand. But now anyone reading this review has, so I hope to spare others the same fate. Go anywhere else. Anywhere. Even get a kayak before wasting your money here. read more

Rented the 28' Sea Fox for $425/day plus tax. Paid a total of $1,370.63 for 3 days, but not really because the boat had to be back by 4:00 pm on the last day. No refunds are given for bad weather or early boat return. All I can say is the boat was falling apart, dirty, with little to no seating. What little seating there was had ripped, filthy cushions with the stuffing coming out. We had 8 people total (7 adults and a 1 1/2 year old baby). There was no ladder to get on & off the boat, and very little cover from the elements with a soft fabric t-top that afforded little protection. Needless to say, the boat ran pretty much the same way it looked...hydraulics & steering were abysmal. When we communicated our disappointment with the boat to All Aboard, they told us what did we expect, it's a fishing boat. Well, we expected a little bit better. Lesson learned. read more

First note is that the address listed on this app is completely wrong. They're not located there. Contact them first before you drive there and make the same mistake I did. As for the place they have some smaller, newer boats that seem to be better. Overall the majority of their boats are run down and have a number of issues. Don't count on them having a radio that works, let alone a properly running outboard engine. I rented their larger boat and if I got more than 10 mph it was too much. Almost ruined my time on the water but we at least had one good day. Overall be wary of the boat they're delivering to you beforehand and maybe you might have a better experience than I did. The one positive is that the staff there seemed personable and at first did try to work out my rental. The issue is the boats at their place look nothing like what they have pictured in their website. Not sure if it's like this for all these rental places. read more

People that expect to get a brand new boat when they are renting have unreasonable expectations. All of the safety equipment not the vessel works properly and the motor is mechanically sound. We rented a pontoon boat took it out and it would barely accelerate. We called the rental office they instructed us to just ease on the throttle and it will plane out. We we were nearly 6 miles off the coast heading to a snorkeling spot to meet our family and thought we were in danger. The motor was practically under water. We limped back in and they lifted the boat and drained water out for an hour. They said they would give us a half day refund, but when we closed out the last day, they had amnesia. They wouldn't do anything for us. I wouldn't rent a boat from them under any circumstances. read more

First and foremost their boat got us to the sandbar, out to coffins patch, back to sandbar and into marina with no mechanical issues. That was good. We rented boats twice while in Marathon. Once from the place at Robbie's and here. These boat though had fairly new seat cushions the rest of the boat was well worn. Actually I found the boat to be fairly unsafe. I'm a very experienced boater. The steering was very dangerous working one way fine but had to turn the wheel three or four, five times before boat would turn the other way. Also the throttle would not disengage to neutral unless you worked it a bit. I worked around these but someone not experienced could have had a bad experience with this. Radio did not work. Ladders very shaky. Gas gauge also did not work. U pay gas here like a rental car. They said it was full but not per gauge. Did not like having to wait for other boats to have their tanks filled and washed down to check in at the end of the day. One other was the gps they have is fine but did not have preset boat paths to the various sand bars and reef patches. Actually no maps nor discussions as to how to get there. We had a great day with no mechanical but we definitely liked the boat and service at Robbie's better. read more

Captain Elio who manages this group was terrific. A friend who was to join me to fish in Marathon, got COVID and didn't come. My son and grandson were to come later in the week to fish with me. Elio shifted my boat rental so I'd have the boat later in the week with my family. This made all the difference in our vacation. Also after renting the boat, I told him about a temporary power loss of the engine and he immediately analyzed the problem and set out to fix it before I rented the same boat next week. The staff were very courtious and helpful as we picked up the boat to be sure the boat was properly equipped and functioning. On return we found the same positive attitude. Reserved boat three days prior to rental day, Pick up time was 8am. Received phone call phone call at 7am, did not see the missed call till 7:45 am. Returned phone call and was told that there was no boat to rent, no point in coming by. They explained the there was a mechanical issue with the boat from the day before. Note the rental date was for a Saturday, there mechanical issue was on Friday. My issue is not that they had a mechanical problem with the boat but that they waited till Saturday morning, day of rental to call. keep in mind there boats are required back by 4pm. So at worst case they new they had an issue with this boat on Friday afternoon. We drove to Key West Friday evening with the sole intent to dive the reefs and lobster fish (first weekend of Lobster season.) read more

My initial experience was wonderful. I called and spoke with Marty, who was very helpful. She was knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. We reserved our boat, and everything over the phone was a perfect experience. The day we arrived was something of another story. We walk in and the place didn't match the level of professionalism I received over the phone. There was dog feces inside the business, and the staff was trying to choose who would be picking it up. We get through that with a little chuckle, and after filling out our boat contract we finally head outside to see our boat for the week. The outdoors was a pigsty. There's NO NICE way of saying it. It looked like a homeless tent city. There was trash EVERYWHERE. Empty alcohol cans about the place. Cats were everywhere we looked, and we literally had to play hopscotch to miss the piles of animal crap. Who runs a business like this? The deck hand explained to us that after hours the property became residential. I was scratching my head in awe. I guess some people really do live this way. Everything was great during the booking process and leading up to our rental pickup day . But Oh Man .... When we went to pick up our boat , there was a pirate lookin guy in a baseball hat pacing around and complaining out loud to the other employees about how hes tired of renting out boats and they dont need to do 'any more ' today......... i mean this is not the welcome that you want when walking into a business office for the first time. If i would not have had a deposit down and an alternative place to rent i would have walked out right then . This guy was being a world class jerk . The Boat had some issues on day 1 and had to bring it back in to be resolved. Obviously they did not do a decent inspection prior to renting or they would have caught this obvious issue. But they did fix it in a timely manner when i brought it back to the departure marina. Boat was not really clean, A simple low pressure wash would have made a world of difference.....cushions were ripped and would not stay buttoned to the seats . Battery was consistently low on voltage so we were afraid to run the bait well pump without the engine running. One of the seat backs was broken . Single engine boat was way underpowered and took forever to get on plane . In the pre rental walk thru the guy showed us some damage to the prop and lower unit done by a previous client. After driving the boat for a week i wonder if the prop was not slipping and thats why boat seemed underpowered.............. but who knows . The biggest turn off what the crappy attitudes on day 1 and the miscommunication between the 'office' and 'the guys renting the boats" We were told we could pick up by a certain time and then when we arrived the guy was mad behind the counter and said we were not supposed to pick up after a different time. idk it seemed very disorganized. The boat we rented was supposed to be a newer model and if that was the case i would hate to see an older one , just not well taken care of or maintained to our expectations. We will definitely try another rental place the next time we come to the keys . I would go to 1 star but the guy that helped me when we brought the boat back in was really nice and i was thinking........ this guy needs to be more involved bcz the bad attitudes from others are running off customers. I would also suggest a net bigger than a hand held trout net from publix and a gaff if your going to be renting a fishing boat . Cathy was very helpful on the phone and even more pleasant once we arrived. We took our the 24 foot catamaran with some friends from Jacksonville. Cathy provided us with excellent instruction on where the best snorkel spots were and how to navigate the channel out. We went out to Sombrero, snorkeled for a few hours and then headed back in for lunch. After that, we cruised over to a sandbar, cranked some tunes and relaxed. We couldn't have asked for a better day on the water. If you're a novice boater, I recommend asked for the twin engine cat. Much more stability and maneuverability for someone new to the water. This is the worst boat rental place in all of the Florida Keys! I would highly recommend you go anywhere else to rent a boat. The customer service is horrible, the man at the front desk was so rude and disrespectful it was almost laughable. As for the actual boat, that may have been the worst part. When I picked up the boat, I was immediately greeted with rips in every cushion, rust everywhere and overall, it was very disappointing and not accurate to the description on the website. Another concerning issue was the dishonesty of the staff, when I initially called and asked what boat would accommodate me and my family the best they recommended a certain boat and when we finally all got out on the boat we quickly found out the boat was severely underpowered and we were topping out at a whopping 5 mph. Overall, my experience here was terrible so my best advice to anyone trying to rent a boat in the keys is to find a different rental place, I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

We found All Aboard and based on the reviews decided to give it a go. We met Kathy who was polite, informative and made sure we were covered in our boating experience. Last month we rented a pontoon boat for my family to fit 12 people. Looked around the property and picked out a nice boat the day before we went out. Mechanic was kind and showed us around. I called to book and leave a deposit with Tonni, the owner I believe. The day we got there, we were all set and boarding and her husband said they only wanted half our family on the boat and claimed it was a new law to only have 6 people on a boat rated for 12. We abided by their rule, but I called around to other rental places and they said this was not true. Upon return, we filled up the tank before and paid in full. Our deposit was never returned, so we called to ask for it and were hung up on twice. Today, about a month later we were charged +$150 for fuel. At this point, I had to write a review to warn others. Be aware they keep your card on file and may charge randomly later to whoever doesn't notice. read more

At the end of the rental Jay said we would be given our deposit back on our card. A week later I called and asked about the deposit, it was not returned. I rented last year from this company and was an ok experience even though the condition of the boat wasn't all the best but did the work. Thos year to start off I booked well in advance for Aug 3 days and thought I was getting the boat that was in the picture. I didn't ask thinking it seem to be a comparable boat, and before even stepping on the boat, the steering was not working properly and the deckhand had to put fluid in it. Obviously, the boat wasn't checked prior to it because when the deckhand was going over the checklist there was still garbage he removed from the last rental guest. On the last day of using the boat the steering fluid ran out upon returning back to the dock. The cushions are in very poor condition, the trims were removed, the GPS Garmin/Depth screen wasn't working properly and the bottom of the boat was covered with a ton of algae. It was only after I came in and stated my displeasure that they said they were sorry and gave me every excuse as to why the rental boat I got was in that condition. They said what do I expect in return and told me that why hadn't I told them I wasn't happy with the boat when they never even said or gave me that option knowing I was a repeat customer. The customer service experience was horrible and they said they couldn't do anything since they weren't the owners. They made me feel that it was my fault for not bringing up these items up front and their poor delivery at the end showed me they could care less about a positive client experience or even trying to keep my future business. I BLAME the owners 200% so anyone reading this review make sure you inspect everything on their boat BEFORE you pay if you decide to rent here..If it doesn't look good just walk away and try and find other boat rental company if you can. read more

Having rented boats in Marathon for several years, it was a pleasure to shift from a company whose boats and service deteriorated to dismal levels. Our first rental this past week from All Aboard will certainly NOT be our last. Their customer service is genuine and above expectation. We rented a 2017 SeaFox that was, well, brand-spanking new and understand they have several 2017's and already a new 2018. Sure, they have some older boats too but they look to be well maintained and sound. They have an amazing variety of boats including several high capacity deck boats (also new) and a, I am not kidding, a double decker party barge pontoon boat! Great customer service. This is the second time we have rented a boat from them while in the Keys. Ask for Cathy - she is extremely helpful. We had a slight mechanical issue with our boat on day two (those of us familiar with boats know this can happen no matter the age or quality of any boat) and they sent someone immediately to the restaurant we were at to check on it while we ate lunch. Called the first time about 2 weeks from the start of a 5 day vacation in Marathon. Was asked to call back in 30 mins when their computers were working. Ended up calling a week later which was a week before heading down for a 5 day vacation. Gave them name and credit card info for a reservation for 23 ft boat. Lady asked if I wanted an emailed confirmation which I figured would be a good record to have. Didn't think much of it until day before I'm supposed to leave. Search my email and don't find any confirmation. So I look up my credit card account activity and no charges from anything in the keys or boat related. Great. Called the morning I'm driving down to be told I don't have you anywhere on here. Ok so can I make reservation? Sorry don't have anything left. I asked how they can make this right, to which their answer was I don't know. I said I bet you have competitors our refer people to when you're booked full. How about calling them and telling them you dropped the ball and need a rental for a 23 foot center console. You can call coco boat rental but I ain't got their number. Super. Something tells me negotiating a deal for the rental ended up in my card not being run name not being recorded and I would have only had a shot at the boat if NO ONE else called and booked at full price. Don't stand by their word, don't have an organized system, generally annoyed when asking them questions on the phone and just overall bad experience with ZERO attempt made to provide any suggestion at a remedy. I'll refer all my townhouse rentals clients to Coco going forward. read more
