They have different kind of smoothies from superfood, high protein, low carb, and more flavours too. A bit overpriced though especially consider it's in Burnaby and Vancouver's prices are usually lower or a bit lower than NYC. This is the exact small price as a protein smoothie in Manhattan. It's good and satisfy your craving for something sweet and to fill you up as a healthier option, but it's not worth the money all the time. Maybe once in a blue moon if I'm around the area

I went into this location at 930pm as this is the only Body Energy Club that closes at 1030 on a Friday night. I went in to get the usual and one of the item is the liquid l carnitine. Upon paying for them there were two workers, one asian guy who I think makes smoothies and another guy with darker skin and long hair who I believe does cashier and customer service. I wish I knew his name, he was SO informative and very knowledgeable. I always get the liquid L'Carnitine as it gets into my system fast, he told me I should be taking 2-4 tbsp. I didn't know that and only been taking 2tbsp since summer as it states that on the bottle. He also suggested to take the pills as it lasts longer and told me how much to take. He also shared his experience with pill formed L carnitine when he was prepping for his show last year. We also talked about nutrition and how I dislike salads. He told me I just need to find a good salad dressing and wrote a dressing recipe down for me as he loves salad and how he makes his salad and salad dressing from scratch. I have never experienced such customer service or knowledge until yesterday. I have been to many locations and the staff has always been helpful, but yesterdays experience was something else. BEC, please find out who that guy was and tell him good job!

On another note, my previous visit to this location I ended up buying quite a few items. They had a store wide sale a few days later, so I contacted the manager and he credited my account with the difference in price (what I paid vs. sale price). Highly recommend this store for your supplements!

Yes this place isn't sparkly, and filled with hippy chicks but, those who work here have been running this store since I was kid. They know their stuff so I could care less what the place looks like. I don't go there to be impressed by the decor I go there to get healthy! Over the years they have found many alternatives to prescription medications that were making my mother severely ill. They found things that could potentially help, and did work. They found things in our price range, and have always helped us. Without them who knows what my Mom would currently be experiencing right now. Definitely give this place a chance, and say hi to Andre for me if you see him around!

I have been working out and working out hard since my earliest memory. My Mother believed that free time was not an opinion. From the earliest age I was either surfing, skateboarding, running, playing soccer, football, baseball and taking Martial arts classes not to mention trumpet, trombone, saxophone & piano lessons. My current workout routine still includes all the above as well as 3-4 hours at the gym 5-6 days a week. That might seem excessive but to me it seems normal. The lessons my Mother instilled have stuck with me. I went on to serve in the Military and Police Department. During that time I have competed in Marathons, Mud Runs, strength and conditioning courses and truly pushed the limits of what I knew I could get out of my body. I am currently training for a Triathlon in hopes to qualify for the Kona Ironman within the next 3 years. I say all of this because I am no stranger to Protein bars, what I am a stranger to is plant based Vegan protein bars. Well yesterday (05-17-2013) I came across Vega Sports Chocolate Coconut Vegan plant based protein bar. It had a pretty hefty price tag attached to it basically $3.00 a bar or a box of 12 for $29.99 at a local shop in the Los Angeles area. I thought to myself why is this bar is so expensive and how good can a plant based Chocolate coconut bar taste. Well I purchased one took one bite and I was amazed at how good these bars are. They tasted nothing like I thought they would, they tasted like I was on a cheat day eating something I wasn't supposed to. At the time I had this bar I was quite hungry and this bar really curbed my hunger cravings. I also felt jazzed with a rush of energy and I look forward to adding this bar into my daily or weekly routine. I am known for carrying a Knapsack around with me pretty much everywhere I go. My Knapsack is filled with healthy snacks so when at work or on the road I can stop and have a healthy snack not matter the location I find myself, well these bars just made the cut and will be added to the Knapsack. As for Vega Sport itself and their website they offer meal plans, recipes, a forum and a blog. If you are interested in a plant based diet and looking for a meal replacement plant based protein bar you might to look at your local health food store and check this bar out. I am not sure about the other flavors that are out there but the chocolate coconut is amazing. As for the people out there that are currently using Vega Sport as part of their diet, they include UFC fighters, MLS Soccer players, Olympic skiers, Olympic Water Polo team, Professional Tennis players and of course me=) I will be searching out various places where you can find Vega Sport at a discounted rate. Anyone who reads this review and is interested in these bars and this Company send me a comment and I will post an update on this review when I find these bars on the cheap.
