The swim test consists of being able to swim a certain distance and then float on your back for ten seconds. My son was able to do this, so he was able to utilize everything. He loves the diving board, the two water slides, and the splash park. Just a note: goggles are not allowed on the diving board or the water slides. There's also a large pool with several swim lanes. As an adult, you can take advantage of all these things as well or just relax on a lounge chair. (just please, for the love of God, watch your kids!! I can't tell you how many unruly kids or kids that aren't comfortable in the water are without supervision, and it drives me nuts!) If you aren't a member, it's $10 for adults and $5 for kids. There are plenty of life guards, but some of them could be a little more "kid friendly".

Equipped with changing stalls/ showers/ bathroom/ waiting area and etc. Each class is approximately 28min long. The minute you walk in there is always a warm welcome and smiles. Instructors are amazing. There is different levels of classes based on your child's age and knowledge. Overall is a well oiled machine and kids love it here. We have had the pleasure to meet several instructors but Our favorite instructors at the Hialeah Garden locations are Ms. Tatiana for lower level and Mr.Jorge for the higher levels. They are both clear with instructions and really care for your kids to move to the next level. We had a class with Mr. Joseph and he was amazing kind of wish my daughter was in his class but he is fully booked for the days I have available. Each instructor at this location is equipped to teach the classes but each instructor have different personalities and ways they teach, don't be shy to switch instructors if one is not the right fit for your kids personality.

I registered my child for swim lessons with them when I received a coupon. Well, I now understand…read morewhy they need to lure people in with coupons. The level of incompetence at this particular swim school is astounding. On what would have been our first lesson, I received a call asking whether we could come in early as they had some openings. I said absolutely, packed up my toddler, loaded in to the car and headed off. As I'm pulling in to the parking lot 10 minutes later, I receive another phone call stating that due to the weather they cannot conduct the earlier lesson (it is now disclosed that the pool is outdoors). And informing me that my originally scheduled lesson cannot be canceled yet as they don't do weather cancellations more than 30 minutes prior to a lesson. At this point I requested to cancel the $340 lessons and requested a refund as we hadn't yet begun. This is where the true frustration began. Initially they advised that the refund would be processed immediately. 5 weeks later, still not having been received, I contacted my bank who confirmed no refunds had been received and then reached out to the swim academy and asked whether an issue had occurred. They immediately emailed me an account summary stating a refund had been sent. Another week goes by, and no refund. So I email again indicating that the refund hadn't been received. I receive a response telling me refunds may take 4-5 business days. Well, as it's been roughly 30 business days, I'd say we're well past that. So I respond indicating that the refund was supposedly processed 6 weeks ago, TO WHICH THEY RESPOND " Great! Glad to hear the refund went through!" This is why children should not run your business (there may be an adult somewhere in the building but unfortunately they were never bothered with or informed of my issue).

My daughter has an immunodeficiency and swimming in an indoor heated pool has given her an activity that is helpful and educational. She has made a lot of friends and LOVES the staff. We decided to enroll our 2 kids in June. On June 30th we paid the month of July. In total we paid almost $500.00 just for July. The next day, on July first we learned that my kid was exposed to COVID by his Speech therapist. So we had to follow the protocol and stay home for 2 weeks. So I called the swim school and I asked for a refund because they were going to be out half of the month and the cases started to skyrocket in Florida that week. They refused to give me a refund and they just gave the option to give me a credit for future use. I have to say that the companies that will succeed in the this crisis have to nimble and considerate. It is totally unfair to have these strict policies. At the end they will not lose one kids but 2. Like I said, we loved the instructors but we decided to move to a private instructor that comes to our house for the same price wiith more relax rules related to payment.
