Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. To start, the doctor was over an hour late. When she finally came in, she had nothing but attitude and negative energy. As soon as she found out I purchased a Groupon, her behavior changed completely. She pressured me to buy an additional 20 units of Botox, saying I should "listen to her" or I could "do my own thing" and not look good. It was extremely unprofessional and lacking basic manners and people skills. When I said I wanted to cancel the appointment, she became even more rude and aggressive. She practically pushed me out of the room and told me to "go home where I belong." I was shocked by how disrespectful and inappropriate the entire interaction was. The office itself felt outdated, and the front desk staff were not friendly or welcoming either. Honestly, if I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Zero Stars for this Doctor. She made me wait close to 40 minutes to see me. I said something about my long wait and she turned evil, she was rude and condescending. She gave me botox. After she finished, she intentionally took her needle and poked me in on my right side in crows feet area and gave me a bruise. I never asked for the crows feet area to be worked on and she only poked me on the one side. I asked her why she did that and she told me I needed botox there. I wouldn't let this women near me. I bought a groupon and had my 4:15 appt. Arriving 15 minutes early for paperwork. Her staff was super friendly, but they numbed me at 4:10 and the Dr never came in until almost 5. She had food around her mouth and was chewing. She acted as if I was an annoyance. She said what are we doing and I replied a lip flip and she asked why. I explained I liked them and have been getting them every 5 or 6 months. If I could rate this person negative stars I would. After waiting for over an hour both times (the first time she was busy with her office decorators) I saw her for 20 units of Botox. She asked why that was all I wanted because I needed much more work. She said I was too thin and needed about $3,000-$4,000 worth of fillers, Botox, etc. She told me my neck was too wrinkled and my eyes were sunken and hallow. I felt like crying, in fact after the treatment I left and cried in my car. On top of all that, I had a GROUPON voucher which I couldn't access on my phone. Rather than waste her time I agreed to pay $140 in cash (I have a receipt) with the understanding that when I got home I would phone in with the voucher number, which I did a few hours later. After multiple phone calls her office staff member said she would take care of it. a week later, the voucher way mysteriously redeemed. Now, I've paid TWICE for this! Since then that staffer has left and another staff member said she would take care of it. She ALSO is no longer employed there. (I wonder why). Now I'm left dealing with GROUPON and a new staff member. Finally a month later I called and gave them a deadline to refund my $140 or I would start writing unflattering reviews. So far I have contacted GROUPON, The Better Business Bureau and YELP. I am a member of a neighborhood group called "NO or GO" with over 800 female members which meets to share good or bad experiences with vendors, retail, restaurants, etc. I plan to address the group at the next meeting. This person should not be practicing. She's rude, degrading and tries to upsell whether you need it or not. DO NOT SEE THIS WOMAN. I went there to get lip injections juverderm, during the consultation we never spoke about also doing Botox because why would we? I'm 25 years old and would never want Botox. Without asking me while she did my lips she also put Botox the skin in between my nose and lips ON ONE SIDE... this resulted so whole shape of my face moving.. the Botox pushed my lips down on the left side (pics below? I had to go back 2 weeks later and it gets worse, you can't remove botox so I'm stuck like this, she decided to put on the other side. Now when I smile you can't see my teeth at all!! Had a great experience with Dr. Stanciu and her cordial staff. The admin and initial consult were easy and efficient. Dr. Stanciu did a meticulous consult and together we develop a way forward that worked for a 64 year old guy that wanted to remove the pronounced marionette mouth lines and yet look natural. I went to Dr Stanciu for Botox. I have been receiving this treatment elsewhere for years so was familiar with how many units I receive and the outcome. First off, the reception area is pleasant and her assistant was very attentive. This is where the positive ends. I was using a Groupon which I pd 143.10 and the value was for $380.00. I typically receive 30 units the Dr told me I would need at least 50 at an additional cost. She repeatedly said , "trust me. You will be very pleased with the result". I agreed and she proceeded while telling me about additional services she could sell me. I declined those. 2 weeks after the visit I was left with one eye which is so droopy I need to lift the lid to apply eyeshadow and an eyebrow that is ridiculously arched! I went to my previous Dr who suggested the best option for this terrible treatment is to let it wear off. I sent a message to Dr Stanciu who said she could fix this! No thank you, never again! At the follow-up, a few weeks later, my friend was offered another chemical (Juvederm, maybe?) which did not improve her results, she thought. Unprofessional Ophthalmologist This practitioner is full of herself! She spends more time talking about herself and the high quality of care she delivers than listening to the patient. Her office called me to remind me to be on time for my appointment and to not be late. I arrived 30 minutes early to be respectful of the physician's time. I was not seen until 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I told her that was not cool. Her immediate response was, "Get real! I don't need this at 3 o'clock on a Friday! I don't run a train station." I shared with her that I run healthcare facilities and you shouldn't make patients wait 45 minutes past their scheduled appointment. She said, "Do you want to be seen or leave?" I replied, "I choose to leave." How can you trust someone like this with your vision which is a critical part of your quality of life? I just saw Dr. Stanciu yesterday and the visit was flawless! Her office was spotlessly clean and the front desk personnel were prompt and courteous. I was a first time client doing some Botox and I think she did a great job! By the way, Dr. Stanciu did the procedure herself, no tech or PA involved. I know for a fact from my wife that at some other places, you don't even see a doctor at all. The Dr. explained the procedure and showed me the legit bottle of Botox she was using. I hear that some spas are using brand X Botox, but I got the real stuff! She suggested other things I might need down the road but she didn't even try to upsell me past the 20 units I was there for. For my 50th birthday I tried Botox for the 1st time. And I learned THEN, that not all doctor's suggestions are from the heart. I landed in one of those Botox mills running in town where the doctor will inject Botox when you don't need it and/or try and sale you on other products. I will not mention names - but it worried me.
