There are doctors out there that use just the needle and that is primarily because they have not been trained in the use of Sculptra with canula. With Sculptra you have to go deep and it is a very precise technique and it takes a very precise doctor to accomplish the results you are looking for. I immediately saw my results even though I know with Sculptra they disappear in 2 days but gradually grow back over the next 2 months give or take. I have to admit I looked beautiful after the initial swelling went down. I am a 68 year old woman with light eyes, blonde hair and very fair skin. I have a elongated face that is great for Sculptra. I acknowledged this comment, but asked if I could do it now since I had arrived to the appointment early. She restated her previous statement, gave me an additional form to fill out, and was done with me. I don't think she smiled during our entire engagement. About 15 minutes later, Dr. Hernandez's nurse brought me back to the room. I informed her of what the front desk person said. She replied, "No problem. I'll go print out the forms and then you can fill them out after your appointment." She was very sweet, and did what the front desk person should have done originally. Then, after my appointment I stayed another 5 minutes to fill out the paperwork. After that, I handed in the paperwork and checked out. Although the checkout person was a little nicer and did actually smile, she was far from being considered bubbly. It is such a shame because the care I received was excellent, and both Dr. Hernandez and her nurse were engaging, welcoming, personable and competent. The practice really needs someone to step up and teach the front desk staff how to treat their patients.

For 3 specialists these errors have occurred over the past month: lack of concern re options getting appt for more urgent follow-up; mixing up patients; providing referrals to wrong doctor; telling 2 of us when we showed up for appointments that neither doctor could see us and to reschedule; and other poor patient experiences. They are great at copying your driver's license and insurance cards every visit (other practices require once a year only).
