Got there 40 minutes early and was advised then we didn't have to be there early since paperwork was completed and the call center should have shared that information. Staff was kind and Chris was very knowledgeable. He spent a lot of his time explaining the problem and solutions. They were able to schedule the follow up appointment quickly. Looking forward to some relief.

During the phone intake, a staff member asked about my "second appendix surgery," which reflects a concerning lack of basic medical understanding and attention to accuracy. Upon arrival at the clinic, a patient exited an exam room yelling profanities about one of the medical staff, referring to him in derogatory terms. Front desk staff did not appear surprised or corrective, even agreeing with her, which created an unprofessional and unsettling environment. Once taken to the exam area, I was again asked to verbally repeat the same information already provided multiple times. My pharmacy information was listed on two intake forms and verbally confirmed with staff, who entered it into the computer in my presence. I would like to acknowledge that the physician assistant, Chris Kottenstette, provided a thorough and understandable explanation of how pain responses affect the brain and body. I appreciated that portion of the consultation. He recommended a non-narcotic prescription medication and discussed two potential nerve block procedures, one of which I declined. However, the follow-through on the medication prescription was nonexistent. After returning home, I never received notification from my pharmacy. When I contacted the office, I was told they did not have my pharmacy information. This was after it had already been provided in writing twice and verbally confirmed. I confirmed the pharmacy again and was told the prescription would be ready after 5:00 p.m. Shortly after that phone call, another staff member called stating they still did not have my pharmacy information. In total, my pharmacy details were provided five times within approximately two hours. A week later, still nothing. The only action that appears to have been completed efficiently was scheduling a surgical procedure. Given the repeated administrative failures and lack of basic follow-through on a simple prescription, I did not feel confident proceeding with an invasive intervention. I cancelled the procedure. When I notified the surgical center of my cancellation, I was told they are "not at all affiliated" with Colorado Pain Care. However, publicly available information indicates that the co-founder and CEO of the practice is also associated with the surgical center where I was scheduled. And one of the office staff they transferred me to said she is a staff member of Colorado Pain Care and does office at the surgical center. This conflicting information raises additional concerns regarding transparency. I requested both the clinic and the surgical center email me a confirmation that the surgery was cancelled - given their lack of follow-through I wanted to make sure they weren't going to either charge me a no-show or try to pull one over on my insurance. But wait...there's more! A week before the surgery, I got a call from the surgical center confirming the surgery. When I read the cancellation email to them from their own staff member, they said they have no one on staff by that name. It literally came from someone with the business email address for Summit View Surgery Center. She then called me back to say, "oh yes...she does work here". I felt like I was in the twilight zone with everyone I met here. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing and neither one of them are putting a needle in my spine. A resounding vote of no confidence. The website emphasizes holistic, patient-centered care. Unfortunately, my experience felt transactional and procedure-driven rather than patient-focused. Not to mention a complete circus.

When we started working together he told me he would help me manage my pain. I was in a car accident 3 months ago. He refused to give me any more pain medication to treat my whiplash and all over body pain, also my pain ebbs and flows which means there are times I need more pain medicine to get through and he refused to even do that although, he said he would take care of it when we first met. He lied. He's a terrible doctor. I would NO5 recommend him to anyone living with chronic pain on any level. He switched my appointments to what he calls "telehealth" appointments unless I had to come in for a UA and of course he wants me coming in for the money appointments + to just get by with complying with this state. His telehealth appointments are merely a phone call to where he barely speaks or listens to what's going on with you before. He gives me 10 kinds of hell to even get my agreed on amount of medication. I had problems every single month while dealing with this individual which only fed my anxiety and angst. He always seemed uneasy and spoke of people being paranoid, such as the pharmacy or the insurance company. If he were a competent effective dr. He wouldn't have to worry about people being paranoid. I had no idea what he was talking about because I spoke to my pharmacist. She had no problem filling what she had always given me as long as the doctor prescribed it she would fill it. I honestly do not know what his issue is or was. All I know is I don't need his BS when dealing with multiple autoimmune diseases, chronic pain in my neck, hands, feet and back. He never offered any solution to any of these issues! Instead during our last appointment he literally told me he didn't have time to deal with me and that he had people on hold and had to go. Then he actually hung up the phone on me. And perhaps? If my husband hadn't have been home from work that day, one might not even believe his behavior. But I had a witness and that's what he did. Hung up the phone and never called me back. That was a week and a half ago .He has to be the worst so-called professional I have ever tried to work with. I would never go back to him. + I pray other people stay away from this Maniac as well. A huge part of working with a pain doctor is trusting them to have your best interest at heart + this person not only did not have my best interest at heart But I also have a very strong feeling that he is up to something not right, some kind of ulterior motive. I have no idea what that might be but I don't think he's on the up and up. There's something very wrong with him I pray that if anyone comes in contact with him, who needs help with pain management feels his energy and realizes they should keep looking...I wish I had!!!!! Thanks for NOTHING I hope and pray you don't treat anyone else the way you've treated me if he even reads his reviews. Something's got to change in this country. They keep making rules and laws that change constantly around narcotics + without them I couldn't function. The last thing I need is some prick with a agenda micromanaging me. Oh well he's not my doctor anymore...

Their office staff is knowledgeable and also helpful, in that they will send you what needs to be filled out, paperwork-wise, or what you need to know before a procedure via PDF, etc etc... They specialize in back pain, typically, but they can do MANY different things. Dr. Bainbridge as well as the other body therapists and NPs, Doctors, etc are all very knowledgeable and can usually tell you if they can help you out with your issues, or if you may need to see a surgeon, or whatever else may be needed... but they will for sure take good care of you, and get you through the "process" with minimal bullcrap. They of course have to follow the rules and restrictions that the State and Federal government place on them, but they are also understanding people and they will help you if you are in pain, for sure. I still have some day to day pain, that peaks in between doses of my medicines, but considering that my spinal column is in pretty awful shape... they have got me to the point where, I can at least sort of get out and do some things. I was basically stuck in the house all the time before I got in to see them, and I don't regret my choice in provider at all.

I proceeded to wait another 10 minutes until the receptionist comes out and tells me I can't be seen because I was late. Yet for my first appointment I waited over 30 minutes to see the doctor. Dr. Peter Prutch was recommended to me by neighbors, and at the time, Family Centered Medicine was exactly what the name promised. Visits were efficient, the staff was friendly, labs were done in-office with fast results, and the overall experience felt thoughtful and patient-centered. I happily left a glowing review back then because it was earned. Unfortunately, since Dr. Prutch retired (hi Peter I hope you're enjoying retirement) and the practice was sold -- now operating as Part of Pinnacle Pediatrics and Internal Medicine, a subsidiary of Brookside Health Group, owned by Vertikle Enterprises -- the quality and continuity of care have deteriorated significantly. I saw the new provider (Ona Ahumada, NP) twice and left both visits feeling judged and unheard. My medical records clearly had not been reviewed, and notes about me were literally written on a napkin during one appointment. It felt unprofessional and rushed, and the contrast to how this practice once operated was stark. The only reason I returned for a second visit was because of Nikki, the medical assistant, who has consistently been kind, competent, and the one steady, positive presence in the office. Nikki is exceptional and deserves recognition -- and frankly, better systems and leadership around her. In December, I informed the office that I would be changing PCPs and proactively completed a release of records. Since then, I've spent weeks trying to contact the office to provide my new physician's information. Calls go unanswered, voicemail boxes are full, and when you call the number now listed on the door, you're routed to an automated system that also ends in a full mailbox. Three weeks into the new year, I physically went to the office only to find handwritten and printed signs taped to the door stating the phone system has been down since early January and that the practice has moved -- with no reliable way to reach a human being. I'm not seeking care here anymore. I'm simply trying to have my medical records transferred to my new PCP, and the inability to accomplish something so basic is deeply frustrating and unacceptable in a healthcare setting. This practice was once a model of efficient, respectful primary care. Since the corporate takeover, that experience has been lost. Final note: Nikki is amazing. She was consistently professional, empathetic, and helpful throughout all of this.
