Finally got a referral here and was told they needed to get an MRI to be able to provide higher level pain management. Was promised a celebrex prescription for pain in the meantime. Never got the prescription. Waited months to be told that 6 MORE WEEKS of PT is required before an MRI appointment is even considered. Also put my partner in my paperwork as an authorized contact, but they refuse to speak to them anyway, claiming they aren't in my paperwork. Months upon months of time and hundreds of dollars on gas wasted just to be put back to square zero with treatment.

Both have been great and very knowledgeable. I see the same provider for every visit unless it's a procedure. I feel like this is important. I've been to other locations this is not the case and it's very impersonal and difficult to build rapport. I was only changed providers when my first provider moved. If I have questions they are answered in full. If I want to try something different with my care my doctors are either willing to try or explain why they think it may or may not be a good idea. I feel like they are working with me and not working on me. I don't feel like I'm treated like a criminal, which if you've worked with poor quality pain management you know what I'm talking about. I'm treated like an actual person with real physical problems because I am. I highly recommend The Pain Center of Arizona.

Because I had given the triage nurse all the specifics I asked if they filled her in at all. She abrasively said I've been doing this for 27 years and what the patient's tell me and what they tell her is always different. I then went on to explain I was bitten by what I believe to be a spider and all the symptoms I was experiencing. She then looks at my hand and says it looks like shingles. This is most certainly not shingles. I have MCAS and my concern was my body was already showing symptoms of allergic reactions starting and also the bite was starting to get indented. Pretty sure it is a recluse bite so I will following back up with my regular doctor today as it has gotten worse. Before I left I was already very annoyed with the interaction and she said if it gets worse go to the ER. I told her I probably wouldn't and she then said I've already had a bad day dont make it worse. And then proceeds to tell me about the patient she had just seen and his symptoms. Very abrasive and terrible encounter overall. Don't waste your time or money.

Calle Santa Cruz 5369 S Calle Santa Cruz #145, Tucson, AZ 85706 Urgent care center Major Reen 323 points 3 days ago I was very disappointed in the care I received. There were no x-rays taken and I asked if they could provide a thumb splint for me, to which the physician's assistant said yeah he could get me a thumb Sprint, but that's not the problem. I told him it was when I sleep. And asked him again. Even though he said he could, he never did. And I had to show him where the pain was at a minimum of four times before he picked up on exactly where the pain was. And looking at my receipt, I see where he's a trainee if I'm reading the report correctly. He asked if I want the report and if so I would have to wait another 10 minutes or so. Of course I want the report. And he provided it all in capital letters, which I understand I'm being kind of picking now but that's how disappointed I was with my visit. He told me to take Ibuprofen and other stuff that I had been doing for 2 weeks, so basically there was no reason for me to go to this appointment. My other visits to your place I found to be five star visits. But this one, very disappointing. The name of my physician's assistant who was providing care was Scott Cushing. ------------- Update after receiving next care's reply (see below): To whom it may concern, I received your response to my complaint and it is very much appreciated. What I would like to happen next is to be provided a thumb splint as my thumb is getting more painful by the day. My insurance should cover it at 100%, which I made the provider well aware of on more than one occasion. I am not interested in paying for another office visit even though the insurance company should pay for it. I like to think of myself as a good steward of taxpayers dollars and, in my opinion, this should not have taken two visits. I'm not sure if an x-ray is necessary because I don't remember hitting it hard enough to cause a fracture. With that said, your records will show, I went to your location a few years ago with what I thought was a sprained ankle. It turned out to be a broken fibula after x-rays. The X-ray tech told me not to worry about putting my shoe back on which, in essence, told me it was indeed a fracture. Just for the record, I find your front desk to be very friendly and making an appointment was quite easy. I had requested a 3:30 slot, to which they assigned me. I was later contacted saying that they're not busy and I could come in earlier. I did not respond to this. Once called to the back, I noticed four or five people just standing around doing absolutely nothing. That happens. But for the physician's assistant to come in the exam room and do absolutely nothing, was extremely disappointing as it was a waste of my time, my fuel, and my thumb was still pounding with my heartbeat. I thought that an X-Ray and a thumb splint would be in order. I'm not worried about an x-ray at this point. I would just request a quality thumb splint which, again, I requested more than once. I even told the gentleman who was taking my vitals that's basically what I'm looking for. By the way, that medical technician or whatever his title is was very professional and very engaging. I appreciated him. If we need to discuss further, I can be contacted at 520-xxx-xxxx. I am 67 years old and usually sleep in. If you call and don't get an answer, please leave a message and I will return your call as soon as I get it. Thank you in advance for your attention in this matter. Most respectfully, ---------------- Final thought: Very disappointed in their lack of response after I requested a thumb splint that should have been given to me on my initial visit (with an unsupervised trainee). I was not aware it was a trainee until I received my report. NextCare response gave me all indications that they were seriously sorry about what happened and if they would be willing to make it right. I told them that I would be happy if they would just supply me with a thumb splint which my insurance would cover at 100%. That was obviously not a satisfactory request as they have not responded. I'm done with them. Would give zero stars if I could. Response from the owner 6 days ago Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. People explain stuff, and don't seem to mind stopping for a question. And if they don't know, they find out. 4. Best online check-in service, ever. So easy. 5. For the past six years, I have been dealing with unrelenting pain. Once the opioid crisis hit, and the Feds started cracking down, doctors got scared. The Doctors I'd had for years wouldn't help me anymore. Every day was a struggle, and the possibility of having a decent quality of life started to seem remote. I found Pima Pain on Google. It was life -changing for me. I have always felt anxious about requiring opioids in order to do my daily activities with a reasonable amount of discomfort, and to get at least 4 hours of decent sleep at night. I'd become uncomfortable with being treated with suspicion, the little comments about problems with drug-seekers, etc. One I started at Pima Pain, it was a whole different game. Their goal is to give me a better quality of living, and they have delivered. My NP, Yvonne McLemore, really listens to me, answers my questions without making me feel that I'm wasting her time, and is always cheerful and optimistic. She's awesome. Dr. Annabi is one of the best doctors I've ever dealt with. I have read some of his reviews here, and I could not disagree more. He is clinical and intelligent without being condescending, he explains everything thoroughly, and he listens. He has been nothing but kind and compassionate to me, and if there's a problem, he comes straight out and talks about it in a frank and honest way, without just assuming, or acting like because he's got the Degree, he's right. Dr.Schiller also gets two thumbs up. He's quick and thorough, and I like his wry sense of humor. I recently lost a child, and the genuine kindness and compassion I've received at Pima Pain, from all these practitioners, has been incredible. Sometimes I am reduced to tears by their kindness. I am so grateful to have the help of these wonderful people. I'm not being compensated in any way for this review. I'm just telling my truth. Five stars!!!

HE IS the WORST DOCTOR I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY 20 YRS OF SPINAL PROCEDURES. He walked onto the treatment room and accused me of saying something to the medical tech that I didn't. I was scheduled for an ablation WITH anesthesia because of my severe back issues. This was my 3rd appointment they said they were doing ablation WITH anesthesia. When I questioned why they keep telling me they will use anesthesia and don't, he got upset with me. His tone changed to I don't care. He got nasty and said if I didn't like it, I should go to another clinic. He then asked me to leave and get out and go find somewhere else to get your procedure done. Of course after they already charged the VA for 4 visits. 2 of them were changed to follow-ups. Your appointment is the dr asking how your doing,1- 2 mins, no exam, NOTHING, and they schedule for the next wasted office visit. Dr. Shilling, besides his questionable skills , needs his license reviewed by the medical board. I don't think he knows what he's doing. He acted confused and acted and spoke very aggressively. When asking why they lied to me about the procedure, changing it after I showed up and scared me enough to get up and walk out before the procedure. Never seen a dr. talk to a patient like that. They don't care about your condition or pain. They just checked the box and do whatever they want. The VA is paying fot it. Who cares. Now I'm forced to start all over with a different Dr. Meanwhile, Im in bed 20hrs a day while Dr. Shilling takes pleasure in denying reasonable care and comfort. I can only hope PIMA Pain gets better doctors. I'm taking this incident to my congressional representative and TriCare for action against this Dr. and clinic. Now 3 months later I'm in worse condition and pain than before. VA CANCEL YOUR COMMUNITY CARE CONTRACT WITH THIS DOCTOR and PIMA PAIN CLINIC. THEY TREAT VETERANS LIKE A DISPOSABLE ATM. He's betting the VA just takes a report, forget about me slaps him on the wrist for abhorrent care. This ck8nic is why disabled Veterans hate community care !!!! I want a congressional inquiry on PIMA PAIN CENTER. I WANT DR. SHILLING TO NEVER OPETATE OR PERFORM ANY PROCEDURES ON VETERANS EVER AGAIN!!!!!! Veterans BEWARE OF Dr. Shilling.
