In the need to refinish hardwood floors for house sale, a VERY TIME-CRUNCHED JOB, a friend referred…read moreme to Neal Sherman.I called and left my number. Mr. Sherman got in contact with me immediately and showed up within a day to give me a feee estimate. He did the work beautifully, clearly explained the time needed and time needed for the floor to cure or set between each coat. After sanding, a dye stain of deep red was still visible in some cracks between boards in the eating area of the kitchen. He had warned me the stain might not be completely removed in the sanding. As we looked at it and I decided I wanted the two by three feet expanse removed and replaced, I felt no pressure either way from Mr. Sherman. I asked if he could do it and if he could get it done in the time frame. He said yes. AND THAT IS JUST WHAT HE DID! His original bid was the best and the added expense of the patch with new hardwood was minimal. He is courteous and went out of his way to meet the needs of this job from start to finish.

I reached out to a bunch of places on Yelp, but Peter from IDC Flooring was the first to respond and come by for an estimate the same day!! He was super helpful and we talked through what I wanted, I asked a lot of questions, and he walked me through the whole process step by step. He even gave me different brand and style options that are high quality. Everything moved fast like the paperwork was all electronic and easy and clear. Peter and his team started work within a few days. They were very detailed and easy to reach if I had any questions. The new flooring looks amazing and completely changed the condo. We hired IDC from the fabulous reviews from other customers. They exceeded all of our expectations…read more We redid a few rooms of flooring (including one bathroom), changed out a lot of the trim, and upgraded the stairs from carpet to hardwood. Peter is probably one of the most professional contractors I've ever hired. He confirmed the start of the project the day before, showed up on time every day of our 3-4 day project, finished at a decent hour (so we could have our evenings to ourselves), and kept me informed about the progress of the project every step of the way. Everything was contracted and professionally handled in terms of invoicing. He made suggestions for how to improve the appearance of our home in certain places and gave us up-front pricing about every additional change we could add on if we wanted (we took all of his suggestions and so glad we did!). He paid such great attention to detail, fixing so many errors throughout the house that previously were there...things I didn't even know needed fixing! So many of our doors were not sealed correctly and the flooring was all a mess, they fixed it all for us. This was a big project for us - we saved for a whole year for this project - I am so happy we chose to work with IDC. I feel like he actually cared about us, something that is rare to find in people these days! Will definitely call them again for any future projects and will be referring to friends. Thanks Peter, we are truly so grateful for your talents!!!
